The technician arrived ASAP on a busy and very hot day. He was very knowledgeable and professional. He stayed until 11 PM and was not even done for the day. Climate Tech assured me that they would get to me and they did! I received several phone calls throughout the day to keep me updated on the time of arrival.

As noted above, the installation was done on 5/11 - 5/12/10. I am reviewing the installation now because this summer has been a good test for the system on the cooling side. I was looking to go with a local business that would provide reliable service with quick response time if there were any problems associated with the initial installation. Mr John Dubecky was able to answer all of my questions in a short time frame whether I called or sent an e-mail. He was able to work around my scedule so I was present when the work was done. Eric and Scott were prepared from the moment they parked it the drive and started to work. They were courteous and professional and went about the business of removing the old system and installing the new system. They followed the old adage of "measure twice and cut once". If they had a question, they did not hesitate to call for advise. Mr. Dubecky was on site periodically to make sure that all was well. When an oddball ducting issue arose, his father, the ductwork guru, arrived to check it out and did his own measuring to insure that it was right. After more than three months, the system is working without any problems and I am satisfied with the work. I would use Climate-Tech for any future work I might need.

I've used Climatech for the last two years and really like everything about the company, including Colleen who schedules appointments. They are always on time, always neat as a pin, and the techs will spend as much time as you need answering questions. This is a top-notch organization, and I recommend them highly.

Excellent!! John (the owner) came to our house and is a very nice, knowledgeable and honest man. John measured the room, recommended the size unit I needed and gave me a good price. The installers, Eric and Scott, were the absolute best. They were very polite and most importantly - know exactly what they are doing. I could not be happier with this overall experience. I HIGHLY recommended Climate-Tech.

We suddenly started having trouble with our old heat pump after about 8 or 9 years, as it started to require more servicing than normal. At 11 years, it finally died. This was way too soon for a heat pump to die. I talked to the company that we bought it from, and they didn't care. Then they tried to sell us a replacement model that we later learned was soon going to be phased out. So we got on Angie's List and found Climate-Tech. John Dubecky came out to our house and sized up the situation. He said that the problem with our old heat pump was pretty unusual. However, he was able to identify the problem right away while the other company's service people couldn't. He also explained how and why the model that the other company wanted to sell us was going to be obsolete. Also, he told us that our old unit had been running on "emergency heat," which is very expensive. We didn't know this, and apparently neither did the previous service people. Then John did a walk-through of our entire house and measured this and that to see how big a unit we'd need. He gave us a detailed estimate, and he made sure that the unit we bought was eligible for the $1,500 federal tax credit. One week later Eric and Tim brought over the new unit and installed it. If I remember correctly, it took them about a half a day. They were able to save us some money by using the shell of the "furnace" that was already in our basement, since it was perfectly fine and the new equipment fit inside it. They also fixed up a few little problems with our existing duct work. Five months later, we are very pleased. Our electric bills are way down, the unit cools and heats very well, and it is quieter. Everything about John J. Dubecky and Climate-Tech was completely professional, and we are very happy that we found them.

We had some questions and they answered them really well. The guy that gave us the estimate came out and worked with the guys. I would use them again.

I have used them for a long time. They are very punctual and courteous. They take care of the problem and resolve it immediately. The people setting up appointments take into consideration special needs of the homeowners as well.

About three years ago Climate-Tech installed a Mitsubishi Mini-split heat pump system to heat and cool two small rooms in my home. It cools well, but has never heated correctly. Except for when the exterior temperature is between about 35 and 45 degrees, the system either over-heats or under-heats. With the system on and the temperature set at 70 degrees, the indoor temperature has varied from about 52 to 80 degrees, depending on the outdoor conditions. I have spent a lot of time trying to get Climate-Tech to fix the problem. Likewise, Climate-Tech has spent a lot of time trying to fix the problem, but they have been unable to do so. Despite previously acknowledging that the system does not work per specifications, or as he promised it would, John Dubecky has recently refused to take further corrective action. In a letter stating that Climate-Tech will no longer work to fix the problem, John also stated that they could not even install a supplemental heater (that I would have to purchase) at this time because the company lacked sufficient cash flow. Bottom Line: I purchased a system from Climate-Tech that does not work and they are not taking responsibility for it. Although I like some of the employees who worked at Climate-Tech I have lost trust in John Dubecky and Climate-Tech. Based on John’s recent letter and the company’s inattentiveness, I wonder how long Climate-Tech will be in business.

I have been very happy with them. The people that they have sent are very personable and nice. They are careful to be neat and to pick up after themselves. They let you know if they will be a little late or early.

Have used company several times before and have never had a problem. They fix what needs to be fixed without selling you parts you don't need. I will continue to use them in the future.

We knew we wanted to get set up with a yearly HVAC contract for our new home. We did our research and looked at several companies, but chose Climate-Tech (despite a higher contract price) because we should make up the difference on the "contract discount" for any needed repair work and because they were very thorough in the application process. They asked about accessories (our air cleaner and humidifier) and took them into account on our price, whereas I had to tell other providers about our accessories (and a couple of those weren't even prepared to give us a price for the "extras" until we'd signed up for the contract!). We got signed up for the initial inspection and cleaning, and the technician was on time, friendly, and professional. He explained the whole system and process to me, as well as demonstrating the various parts of the furnace/accessories. He left the area neat and clean and didn't try to up-sell me with a lot of extras. The verdict was just that next year we'd need a small periodic-replacement part and a new filter, and that he'd put that into our file so that they'd be sure to bring out the right parts. The technician also suggested a fairly expensive germ-killing light accessory because our system is obviously set up to filter allergens, but when I told him that the previous owners seemed to have been fighting allergies in the house and we didn't have any problems, he agreed that the light would be an unnecessary expense for us. Definitely a good interaction.

Because this was an unusually complex installation there were some glitches in the transition between heat pump mode and furnace mode that were corrected in the days following the installation. The important thing is not that these very understandable mistakes happened, but that they were quickly and professionally corrected. Perhaps the most important benefit from John's quality work is that the non-existent air filtering of the old furnace has been replaced with excellent air filtering. One benefit of this has been a huge reduction in the amount of dust in the house and another is a huge reduction in the airborne allergens in the house. For 12 years until John's new system was installed my daughter could not return to her home without suffering a severe asthma attack after only a few minutes. She can now come home and enjoy the experience. Preliminary analysis indicates that the utility cost savings will be enough to cover the interest on the cost of the new installation, but not enough to amortize the principal. The substantial health benefits from this well engineered system alone are enough to have justified replacing the old furnace/heat pump installation. I would suggest to anyone considering a new HVAC system that they avoid going for the cheapest bid out there because you will not "save" money. The money you spend on a bad installation may well be money largely or completely wasted. The costs of a bad installation are subtle but nasty. I know because I lived with a bad one for 25 years.

The owner came and spent a good two hours explaining everything in detail. There were no surprises. We knew everything there was to know.
