STEVE'S HOME MAINTENANCE

Steve provided a competitive price and installed the humidifier earlier than anyone else could. He was a pleasure to work, knowledgeable, and did an outstanding job. I would definitely consider Steve for any future work I may have.

Steve was very professional and personable. He did not make us feel bad about neglecting the maintenance on the furnace, although he would have been justified in doing so. It was truly a nightmare of a mess, but he rolled up his sleeves and took care of everything. The deposits and dirt in the furnace were extreme, and I feel that he undercharged us for the time and effort expended. He is A+ in our book. He responded to the message left for him within the hour, and was at the house in less than an hour later. He gave all - around excellent service, and we would recommend him highly. He made that 40 year old furnace run like new!

If there had been an emergency, I would understand his not showing up. I made a special effort to be home in time for the appointment. I found his not showing up very unprofessional.

It went great. Steve was quick, professional, and helpful. I was so impressed that I asked him if he could be our regular handyman for future jobs! He lives in the same city I live in so he wouldn't have to travel far and I have an older home that is constantly in need of something!

Overall, projects went smoothly. He finished in a few hours.

He showed up for the estimate as promised, quoted us a price of $300, and arranged a work date. He showed up on that date, completed all the inside work, and then arranged to come back and finish the outside work. A few days later he finished the project. His final price was $430. This seems high, and time will tell if the work stands up to the cost. The final due bill was a shock to us. I have learned to get it in writing and ask more specific questions.

Good, talked to Steve, gave me an estimate over the phone. He said it would be less than 100$ (which was a lot less than another company that said they would charge $175). Steve did the work without any problems.

He was open and friendly when explaining my options.

Steve returned my call the next day and came out that afternoon. Water was coming down my wall. Steve thought that ice build up on my patio cover was causing water to run down the soffit and get into the house. There was no way to know until the cover came down. Pete stated he charges $40 an hour plus supplies. He estimated the job should take 4 to 6 hours. He scheduled the work two days later. He came out as scheduled and worked none stop in heavy rain. After removing the patio cover he put metal behind the gutter to temporarily stop the water from entering the house until I have the gutter replace. Steve is professional and a hard worker. He finished the job for less than the estimate. I would use Steve again.

First of all, Steve is GREAT to work with. He listens, communicates well, manages expectations, and makes sure that everyone is comfortable with the work to be done. His workmanship is first rate. His attention to detail is excellent, he cleans up completely after the work is done, works around your schedule, and delivers a quality job You can't expect anything more from a handyman.

We had used Steve in the summer to fix our air conditioner and also do some plumbing work in our kitchen. He did a great job. Our furnace pilot light started going bad last night and we basically did not have any heat in our house. It was Saturday and I called Steve at 7:30 in the morning. He was at another job and returned my call within 5 minutes. He said that he would be able to make it at 9:00 to do the house. He called at 8:30 and said that his first job was running late and he would be there at 10:00. He arrived promptly at 10:00, cleaned the furnace and replaced the coupler. I was concerned that it was the valve that needed to be replaced (a lot of money). Steve told me that it was only debris in the pipes which he cleaned and it only cost me $75 as opposed to hundreds. Steve is one of the most honest repairmen I have ever met and I feel he truly has your best interest in mind. I would strongly recommend him over any company in Northeast Ohio.

We called him on a Saturday morning to ask him to come by to look at our furnace, which would not turn on and it was a very cold weekend. He came by 3 hours later and fixed the furnace, it needed a new part. He also replaced the filter and looked over the whole furnace to make sure nothing else was a problem. Steve is very polite and professional, easy to get a hold of, and very timely in his response.

He was great; timely, the follow up was great, and the price was reasonable. A really good experience!

He came in a couple days tho postponed once till he was in the area. After looking at the problem he gave his opinion that the whole window be replaced on the one window. The other problem don't recall what he said, but seemed that these jobs were too small for him. He recommended a carpenter and a mortar person for my chimney.

He even primed the door jam for us so we could paint it ourselves to match the house color.

He was easy to reach, and scheduled a timely appointment (just 2 days after the initial call) to come out and provide an estimate. He arrived on time and did a thorough walk through, taking measurements and so forth of all the doors that needed to be installed. He prepared a written proposal. The cost was $660 for 6 doors. We felt that the price was just a little high for our budget. And my husband opted to install the doors himself. Steve was very friendly, personable, and very professional. We would possible call him again if the need arose.

Steve's work is always the best, but the one thing that stands out always is that you can trust him. I had a problem that I was very worried that I would get a company that would purposely tell me I needed a new air conditioning unit, when I didn't. I had used Steve before for interior and exterior home repair but forgot that he did heating and cooling. Luckily I checked Angie's List and saw Steve's name and that's who I called. Steve is great!

It was very good. You can not even tell it has been touched. His price was very reasonable.

Wonderful person!! Clean cut, polite and easy for us nonhandy people to speak to. Rates are reasonable. Works well around our pets. Plan to call again when I need more stuff done.

Steve recommended an AprilAire Spaceguard filter. I asked around about it and learned that it is considered the best on the market. Steve met my scheduling needs, arrived on time, and was pleasant to work with.

I liked the screening solution from another handyman better, so didn't use Steve for this task (and didn't get a price estimate for Steve's solution). While talking to Steve, I learned that he has broad HVAC experience, and I did hire him to install an air filter for my furnace - see separate entry for that task.

This was on the first hot day of the year. I turned the unit on and the house never cooled down. The next morning I called several contractors and they told me it would a least two days before they could get out. Then I remember Steve. He did some handy man things around the house last fall. He did a great job for me them too. He mentioned to me that he had a heating and a/c background. I called him and he was out in about three hours. He got me up and running in no time. I highly recommend Steve.
