The team came on time and appeared to do a decent job. They convinced me that a UV air cleansing system would be a great benefit and so I purchased at $500. The technician (Nate) told me that replacement bulbs were available from local hardware stores for around $50 and that he would go over the warranty information. He neglected to go over the warranty details which was necessary to validate. On checking with local hardware stores I couldn't find the right UV bulb and those that are available are much more than $50. So Nate was an outright liar and I will never use Stanley Steemer again, having been a customer for 10 years. They are just con men.

It seemed to be okay at first; however, I was not at all impressed with the "lead" man. I had a list of coupon codes from the company but they would not go through on their website. He told me he was unfamiliar with them but could give me $35 off my bill. He had me sign for the job and handed me my receipt as he was walking out the door. Upon further inspection of the bill I noticed he took $35 off but also charged me $35 for an extra room. So, no discount at all. Then, the very next day one of the bedrooms began to smell absolutely horrific. So bad in fact we ended up having to have all the carpet pulled up and replaced. They also kept trying to sell me on their air duct service as well as their yearly carpet cleaning service, multiple times during the visit. I just was not impressed this time. I have always been highly satisfied with their services but this one ruined the whole impression.

We've used them a long time. They've been in business for a long time and they're very reputable.

The price was really good. They were right on time.

They did a great job! They didn't rush and gave great advice. Their pricing was flexible.

The cleaning was fine but they didn't do anything to let the carpets in the basement dry. This resulted in mold in the basement carpet. We caught this in time and called them. They were not ready to re-clean the basement carpet. Instead the technician who came out to inspect the mold insisted on using a humidity meter to show us that the humidity in the basement was higher than all the upstairs rooms and essentially told us the problem was ours. I think every homeowner knows that basements have higher humidity. We got the basement re-cleaned by another company (and of course had to pay for it ourselves). This company installed two giant fans in the basement for a few hours after the work was done and haven't had an issue in two years. Needless to say we thought Stanley Steemer's customer service was terrible.

The Manager Patrick and Lead tech Nick at this office were great. We were very concerned about the water. They arrived within 30 minutes of our call, had equipment to evaluate floor and wall water issues, and quickly gave us our options to address the issue. Very knowledgeable and friendly. We are so thankful and relieved they took care of the water.

Was not the best experience. It was average. I had six areas done and it was completed in approximately 30-45 minutes. I feel it was a hurry up job and feel I could have done better renting a machine and doing it myself. I had previously used this company and had a better result. I know will look for a different company for my carpet cleaning needs.

I moved all of the little stuff so they would have room to work, but their team moved all of the heavy stuff. Very mindful not to nick anytthin, or bruise walls, doors, sils, etc. They were quick. Arrived, got straight to work and didn't even take a break! Put everything back the way it ways. A couple of tough stains in high traffic areas were no problem.

They werel late and acted surprised they might actually have to move some furniture. Which I explained when I called and spoke to the scheduler. Nothing heavy. She left and asked them to let her know when they were through she would be at the apartment next door. They left, did not let her know and left the items they moved stacked up, it makes me angry all over again remembering. I live in NC, my Mother was in Ohio. I then needed to get someone to help put the furniture back on the still damp carpet. I called the office the next day and they were barely polite. Every opportunity I have I tell about my experience with Stanley Steamer. I am guessing this is a franchise operation and I believe there must not be ant standards

only interested in selling added options. equipment was in bad repair and barely worked

Ronald and Alex arrived within the 20 minutes of the call saying they were on their way. They were both courteous and efficient. They did a great job of cleaning and although they offered me "extras", there was no high pressure. They left me coupons for future work and I will definitely use them. They did a much better job than another "local" company I used that charged twice as much.

lI made the appointment over the phone 3 weeks in advance. I was given the time slot between 3-6pm on Saturday. I did get a confirmation phone call on Friday; however, by 5:40pm I still had not heard from anyone. I called the number and was put on hold while a universal representative contacted the local department. The rep told me that she had just spoken with the manager on duty and that he said they would be another hour approximately 6:40pm. I wonder what would have happened if I have not called?! This is not professional to me at all. At 6:55pm I got a call from someone representing Stanley Steemer stating they could be free within the next 15 minutes, we agreed to have them come. The two men were professional, courteous and did a great job. They were done in a little over an hour. I had no problem with the service per se and although I think the price was on the high side the job seems to have been done well. I just find the professionalism in the service call and punctuality appalling.

I hired Stanley Steemer out of North Olmsted to clean several carpets in my home, including one in our bedroom. I had a strange feeling about the guys who showed up to do the job, since they seemed a little young and unprofessional, but they were friendly, so I let it slide. Several days after the cleaning, I noticed a mirror on my dressing table looked strange. It had been flipped to the magnification side, which I never use. When I flipped the mirror to the regular side, I saw that it was completely shattered. I was not upset about the mirror itself... I was upset that 1) the employee who broke it clearly made an effort to conceal the fact that he broke it, and 2) because of his deceit, it took me several days to notice the broken glass, which could have very seriously harmed my two-year-old daughter who frequently plays in our bedroom. I called Stanley Steemer to report the problem. This was on October 28. Two days passed and no manager returned my call. I have since spoken to one manager--Lauren--several times about the problem, and there is still no resolution. After calling the company myself several times, Laura offered me a 30% discount on a future carpet cleaning. Never did anyone offer to reimburse me for the cost of the broken mirror, or refund the cost of my entire service, which I feel is a much more appropriate resolution. In fact, when i requested the latter, managers at the company stopped returning my phone calls altogether. I have since reported them to the BBB and will NEVER use them in the future. I am appalled that this company would not offer to compensate me in an appropriate manner, especially considering the actions of their employee could have seriously harmed a child.

I called Stanley Steemer to clean my carpet because I am having a party. I had not cleaned the carpet in a couple of years because I had an awful experience with another company. The two technicians arrived on time (actually they called and asked if the could come 1/2 hour early) and got right to work. I had many pet stains and the areas around the doors were especially dirty. They put something on for the stains and let it set for 15 minutes. After 15 minutes they started on the chairs. They came out beautiful except for one that had a grease stain on it. It could not be removed even though they tried very hard. I was not surprised or upset that it did not come out. After the chairs they worked on the carpet. It has not looked this good since it was new. I am extremely happy and will definitely call Stanley Steemer in the future.

all of the confusion, considering there were no problems last year.First used them last year. Found the crew to be a little pushy, trying to sell me everything but the kitchen sink. They did a good job, however, so I decided to call them again. Called the main number, explained what I wanted and set up a date. Crew arrived on the agreed-upon date, but wasn't able to to the color-seal for my grout that I asked for. Had to call another crew and set up a new date one week later. Also said that that service was not in my estimate, so had to add costs. On the new date, the office called at 7:45 saying they were on the way, about 20-30 minutes out. After an hour I called the office to see what was going on. Jason said he'd find the crew and call me back. After 15 minutes, I called again, and was told the crew could not be located, and I'd get a call when he found them. They showed up about an hour and forty minutes late, and I never got a call. When they arrived, they said they had given me the wrong price and that it would be more. I told them I was not going to pay more, that they'd already increased the price, and to do the job that they agreed to. After they finished and left, I noticed they didn't do an area that I had asked them to do (a 15 sq. ft. half bathroom connected to the kitchen). When the crew came back, they complained that I was "already getting $150 worth of work for free" and that they'd have to pay for the materials out of their own pocket. I let them know that this wasn't my problem, and that they should give proper estimates next time.The bathroom in question is approximately 10 tiles in size, and they wanted to charge me for a whole room. I was quite surprised by all of this, considering a year ago there were no problems. I won't be calling them next year.

After two weeks, afternoon of 11 April, husband called Stanley Steemer to inquire about the return of our rug. He was told that someone would call back shortly. After waiting a week, on the morning of 18 April, Pat called Stanley Steemer again. He was told at this time the rug was completed and he would receive a call when the rug was on the way. The rug was delivered 19 April, three weeks after being picked up! The rug is clean. But honestly, Stanley Steemer is not the only rug cleaning service in town. This rug cleaning cost us at least 50 percent more than other cleanings by other companies. And the cleaning took three times as long. For instance, it looks like Stanley Steemer charged us $3.75 per square foot (difficult to ascertain with the invoice we were provided) to clean this rug, yet Arslanian Bros., charges $2.00 per square foot for all handmade Oriental rugs, with cleaning taking about a week. (With Arslanian Bros., there is no pick up or delivery charges, but a 20 percent discount for those who drop off rugs.) We’ve used Arslanian Bros. before, and have been very satisfied with their work, but my husband not wanting to drop off the rug, decided to try Stanley Steemer this time. While I am not happy with the extra cost with this cleaning, what I find more bothersome is the lack of quality in the way our service was handled, starting with the completion of the initial invoice, requirement to pay up front, lack of response to my husband’s inquiries, and no offer to discount delayed delivery of our rug. I've emailed the company and voiced my concerns (essentially emailed the same info provided here, with a few more specifics).

Stanley Steamer is very professional. They were prompt, timely, and efficient. They performed the job until I was satisfied with the service. I would recommend their services to anyone.

The two guys called ahead of time to let me know when they'd be at my house. They were on time, clean cut and very polite. They spent a great deal of time checking out the areas I needed cleaned, advising me on what stains/wear may not come completely out and what I should expect after everything dries out. They were thorough with their cleaning, didn't waste time and answered all my questions as they went along. I got to watch them the whole time they were working and even snapped photos of the dirty and clean side of the carpets. In the end, they pretty much got everything out of the basement carpet, which is only about 5 years old. This carpet looked like new! The older sun room carpet had some wear and stubborn stains return after the carpet dried the next day although the wear and spots certainly were a lot better than before! They did tell me that newer carpet does come cleaner if it's cleaned on a routine basis and I can see where that is true. One slight complaint: I could've got a better deal price-wise if I had more rooms cleaned. I had a coupon for "5 rooms for $145" but couldn't use the coupon because I only have 4 areas in my house that actually have carpet (stairs count as an "area")! Not to mention they calculate an "area" as 300 s.f., which none of my rooms were even close to in size. I ended up paying almost the same amount for 4 areas that were much smaller than 300 sf! That was kind of a bummer. They did however only charge me $20 to clean my cheap area rug (remnant from a big box store). Stanley Steemer corporate actually wanted to charge me $2/sf to clean my area rug no matter if it was an oriental or cheap remnant. My rug was only 80 sf and needed cleaned the exact same way as the other carpets in my house. Go figure. The only other thing that somewhat disappointed me was that it took over 24 hours for everything to dry. Having never had carpets deep cleaned before, I guess I hoped the carpet-cleaning technology was far enough along that their vacuums would suck most of the water out of the carpet. Overall, it was a good job and I would certainly hire these guys again!

They move all of the furniture out of the way to clean the entire carpet. They always come with two technicians so it doesn't take all day. They did a very good job.

Fair. Do let the customer what they will and will not move.

The crew arrived on time and worked very efficiently. They were very friendly and courteous. They worked well with the cleaning crew I had there at the same time. The price to clean the entire condo was very reasonable. The carpet came out almost new! Even my realtor commented on how amazed he was at the amount of dirt they were able to remove! This was a really great experience. I will definitely use Stanley Steemer again.

They were very nice and cooperative, but I wasn’t very much satisfied with them. I will used them again in the future.

I can call and they can come out next day. They arrive on time, do the job and are out very quickly. I have had the same two workers doing my rugs over the past couple years. They are professional, friendly and very knowledgeable. I can't say enough about the service , and the quality. My carpet looks like new every time. I have two Labs, and three kids so my carpets get dirty! I love this company, they give me peace of mind.

I spent $200. They did a good job. The guys, who came out were very friendly and were very helpful with the questions that I had. I plan on using them again.
