Penneys refused to resolve the conflict until we showed up in person and spoke directly with the store manager. It then took them an addtional month to pick up the chair. They finally refunded the money after many phone calls.
Description of Work: We purchased a recliner from them made by Flexsteel. We were promised 6 - 8 wk delivery. Four months later our defective chair arrived.

I HAD ORDERED THE DRAPES, THEY DELIVERED THEM AND NONE OF THEM FIT PROPERLY. THE REP WAS NICE, EVERYBODY WAS NICE, BUT I DECIDED TO CANCEL MY ORDER, ALTHOUGH I KNOW THAT THEY WOULD HAVE MAKE GOOD ON THE ORDER.

EVERYTHING ORDERED CAME VERY LATE.THE DRAPE CAME WITH FAULTY ROD. I HAD TO FOLLOW UP A NUMBER OF TIMES BEFORE THEY WERE ABLE TO PULL TOGETHER GETTING A ROD. WHEN IT CAME THE 2ND TIME,THE END PIECES WERE NOT INCLUDED. I FOLLOWED UP AND THEY WEREN'T EVEN SURE THAT THE PIECES HAD BEEN REORDERED. FINALLY I CALLED ANGRY BECAUSE I HAD DURING THIS WHOLE MESS NEVER ONCE HEARD FROM THE DECORATOR AND ASKED TO TALK TO THE MGR. AND TO CANCEL MY ORDER FOR THE END. THE NEXT DAY THE DECORATOR CALLED,NOT THE MGR.,AND BASICALLY PUT THE BLAME ON ME SAYING THAT SHE HAD NEVER EVEN KNOWN THAT WE DID NOT HAVE THE END PIECES. DESPITE THAT THE DAY THAT THE SECOND ROD WAS DELIVERED I CALLED THE SECRETARY AND THE INSTALLER CALLED HER AND THE INSTALLER MADE NOTE THAT WE HADN'T RECEIVED THEM. TO DATE,6 MOS.LATER,WE STILL HAVEN'T BEEN CREDITED FOR THE END PIECES.MOST DISAPPOINTING PART OF THE WHOLE ORDEAL WAS THAT THEY NEVER ONCE FOLLOWED THROUGH TO SEE HOW THINGS WERE..ESP. AFTER THE MANY MISTAKES.
Description of Work: DECORATOR CAME IN TO OFFER SUGGESTIONS FOR BLINDS AND WINDOW TREATMENTS. WE PURCHASED BLINDS AND A DRAPE FOR THE INITIAL COVERINGS WITH THE INTENT TO PURCHASE MORE AFTER A FEW MONTHS.

SALES WOMAN, PILAR WARES, WAS HELPFUL IN CHOOSING FABRICS. INSTALLATION WAS DONE PROMPTLY. HOWEVER, THE INSTALLER DID NOT FIRST CHECK WITH ME REGARDING THE EXACT PLACEMENT OF THE VERTICAL BLINDS AND THEY WERE INSTALLED TOO LOW. THEY WERE REINSTALLED (FREE) ON A LATER SERVICE CALL. PILAR BACKED ME UP ON THIS.
