The appointment went well. She took initial measurements and discussed with us our goals for the kitchen: increasing cabinet and counter space, opening up the kitchen wall into the dining room. Then we went through some of the pictures of other kitchens they have remodeled. She talked about their company and experience. She provided us with an estimate quote and a general kitchen plan a week later through a phone call. We chose a different company for our kitchen because their design fit us and our budget better.

They are excellent. They are very thorough, on time, and when they leave for the day, they always leave a note saying when they would be back. I have used them for various other projects since 1990.

The guys from Dover Home Remodelers came out and made a plan. I always had a good interaction with them. They are very responsive to what I want. Their plan is wonderful.

Dover Home Remodelers transformed my small 70's kitchen and made it spectacular, still same size but feels like so much more. Their design advice, guidance and workmanship made it well worth what I paid. I'm proud to show off my new kitchen thanks to everyone at Dover.

Dover Home Remodelers Inc were professional but the project ran over, they weren't cheap, and I found many mistakes that I had to point out. They weren't as detailed oriented as I had hoped but it wasn't anything major. Their responsiveness and punctuality were excellent.

They were punctual in coming out to take measurements to provide a price quote a week later for the entire project as well as modifying the quote at our request to apply to work of a smaller scale . The total price quoted is higher than we prefer (over 10K for new tile flooring and vanities in 2 small bathrooms, total of 51 sq feet of floor as measured by them), so we are getting other quotes at this time.

I have a 12 year old house built by Pulte. The windows were always problematic and reminded me of the old 60's aluminum sliders that were equivalent to trailer homes. The front wood trim which extended up two stories around my first and second floor bay windows was rotting and I wanted to replace it with a compsite. As this required tearing all of the material off, I decided this would be a perfect time to have the six bay windows replaced as well as a second floor bedroom and a double wide dining room window so that all the front windows matched. Dover used Prism brand windows supplied locally (Avon, OH) by Norandex. I was so impressed with the attention to detail, workmanship, and overall customer service, that after a year had gone by, I invited Dover back at which time I had them replace an additional 15 windows and a Kitchen slider. The experience was exactly the same and I couldn't be happier. When the remnants of Sandy hit OH this fall, my Dining Room window and the bedroom window above it, both installed in brick, leaked when the 60+ MPH winds hit them head-on. The Dining Room was perhaps the worst and I had to pull back the carpet and padding to dry it. There had been a 1 year warranty on the install and that had just passed by a week. When contacted, Dover was right there even as the storm was subsiding. They honored their warranty, tested and repaired the leak, repainted (and would have replaced had it been required) the drywall which had minor water stains with matching paint they provided , and had a carpet installer out to stretch and tamp the carpet back in place within a couple days. If I had ANY interior work to be done, I know that I would have NO hestitation to call them back. Everyone from the owner, consultants, field management, and workers are great people. This company REALLY cares about customer satisfaction and getting it done right. I also can't say enough about the Norandex rep who was there evry step of the way and helped get minor manufactutring issues taken care of immediately without any questions asked.

They were pretty much clear and gave us some general ideas. But, he never came back. My overall experience with him was good.

The service was terrific. They did everything in a timely way. Everything came in on budget. It was all handled well. I recommended them two neighbors who are currently using their service. The designer, Shelly, was fantastic to work with. They were on time and I have absolutely no complaints with work.

The work was excellent! Everything about the whole process was excellent. The man who stayed on sight to make sure everything was cleaned up and the girl who designed everything were both excellent. I really do not have any complaints about their service at all. We would definitely call them in the future!

It turned out excellent and I would highly, highly recommend them. They are superb! The value for the money you get is good!

The woman who helped me design was very open to my ideas and if she thought something wouldn’t quite work, she would tell me and we talked about it. I never felt pushed into anything. She was very personable and very professional and very friendly.

Work performed on time, foreman checked quality daily, all workers were polite. CLeaned up after themselves.

They offered a fair estimate. When I cancelled the project and explained the situation, they gave a refund on my deposit immediately. They are highly professional and reputable.

They seemed professional but the primary salesman who I worked with adopted a high-pressure kind of sales approach and I did not care for that. I felt that he was almost desperate. It is a big company and kind of pales off a little bit. They just wanted to book a big job, and that turned me off and away from them. I don't think that a high-pressure sale is professional. They were very responsive. I had got a written estimate from them and noticed that they had left out some things that would have been routine for other contractors. For example, I am gutting my whole kitchen down to the drywall but they left out a new floor. I think that they left out certain key items to drive the price down and make it appear that they were competitive, and that is a big issue.

We loved the designer and the job was done pretty promptly. We had a little bit of issue with the finished product.

My first impression was that they are professional, we contacted them because they are local.

The lowered sidewalk leading to the stoop was removed and replaced with new cement at a higher level, sloping away from the step to allow rainwater to flow away from the house. The step was replaced with two steps which are now supported by footers to maintain their height and to make navigation more comfortable and safe. The top surface of the stoop was removed and replaced with new cement. The rusted wrought iron railing on the right was removed and replaced with a white steel grab bar fastened on the left to the garage outer wall next to the steps. A roof was constructed above and was connected on one side to the roof of the garage and on the other by an attractive round pillar. A gutter was added to the front of the new shed-type roof and connected to the existing gutter on the side of the garage. Dover did very well matching the roof shingles to the existing roof style and color. They also matched the brick and mortar color on the steps to the brick facade on the lower half of the house, and they selected matching vinyl siding for the small triangle where siding was called for on the side of the roof. The structure appears to be strong and is very attractive. It certainly provides curb appeal, but more importantly it provides a comfortable and safe entrance to our home. I felt from the very beginning that Dover Home Remodelers were very professional and did good work. They provided me with references of porch work they have done in the area. I spoke to those homeowners and viewed their porches. They assured me that they would or have used them again, as would I. My salesman and foreman communicated with me regularly and often, and they were pleasant to deal with.

The project went well. We had bids for the remodeling from 3 other design-build companies. We felt they were all over priced and we still did not even see a "design". So how could we decide on which company to use before seeing a design. We meet Shelly, Dover Designer, at the Remodel Ohio Show. She meet with us within days of the show and days later had a design to show us and pricing. She was responsive and listened to what we wanted to do within a reasonable budget. The design was to rearrange a small master bath, sitting space and closet. The design doubled both our bathroom space and closet (which is now a walk -in) and removed the non-used sitting area. A new shower stall was added with cultured marble walls and flooring, rainshower and handheld fixtures, new tile flooring, new dual-flush toilet, double sink, medicine cabinets, lighting, exhaust fan and vanity. The carpentry work from Jim was FANTASTIC such attention to detail. Responsive from the team was wonderful. Most response time was within 24 hours. We will look to have them bid on a future kitchen remodel as well.

While the estimate was higher than expected, Jim worked with us on ways to trim it down. The higher estimate was well worth it now that I have seen the quality of their work. They were very professional, organized, and detail oriented. The plans were drawn out well. We are currently in the middle of our project, but so far the process has been a fantastic experience. Would highly recommend, and will use again in the future for our bathroom renovations. While the construction aspect is great, I also must mention Eilleen's help with decorating services, which are top notch. Very friendly to deal with.

I needed this work done more out of necessity than cosmetic. I have used Dover in the past so I contacted them about this job. My house was built in 1958, and I had the original oven that sparked the first time I tried to use it. I had old vinyl flooring in the kitchen that was ugly. The overhead lighting in the bathroom was a heavy glass held with four strips of wood and screws that was starting to give way. Dover did a terrific job with the new lighting fixtures in the bathroom. The laminate floor looks wonderful as does the new appliances and the new wood trim around the cabinets. It looks like a different house. I am very pleased - Dover's quality of work is superb.

The company started in a different area of Columbus and is now in Columbus. However, they don't seem to understand this market. I had a lot of questions that they just didn't seem to answer. Appointments were rescheduled. The other telltale sign that they don't have it all together is their office space. It is very close to my home. It took forever to renovate it. The most shocking was the front door. It took close to a year to get it painted. You'd think a home remodel company would at least want the outside of their company to look professional. It looked terrible. This alone made me steer clear of them.

They have done quite a bit of work for us. The jobs we have had done are small jobs, but they do high end jobs as well. We go back to them because we know they do good work and they are very good about letting us know every nut and bolt that they are going to be using. They stay pretty close to what they say they are going to do. They do good work and they stand by their work. I didn't even do any other estimates. I know that they are more expensive than a person in business himself would be. However, I know the kind of work they do and I would rather go with them even though they are a little bit higher priced because I know that the job won't turn into a nightmare.

She came out the first time and look at the place. I spent an hour with them. They were supposed to come out and give me the final estimate. I have had three appointments with them. They called to cancel one, and didn't show up for he other two. When I talked to her today I told her that I had the next few hours free. She didn't seem interested in coming out or accommodating me in any way.

Our newly finished basement has exceeded our expectations. The project designer helped us plan exactly what we wanted and gave us the blueprint ahead of time. The deposits and payment schedule was contracted ahead of time. The project manager(Rick) kept us informed daily. Everything went very well. Entrances and stairway carpeting was covered. The job started and ended according to the contracted schedule. The workers cleaned up well as they progressed. The subcontractors did their jobs in a timely manner.
