We have nothing but praise for Ken May and his crew at Aristo-Crete. From beginning to end we worked with a professional who maintained the highest work ethic we have witnessed in many years. We called Ken to do this job because in 2008, out of estimates gathered from thirteen other local companies, we chose him to do the work on our sinking, cracking NatureStone- covered, concrete terrace (stone and brick, three-step up raised 'patio/deck'.) It's five years later and we are still thrilled with his work. For both jobs, the back terrace and the front porch, Ken was there when he said he would be; he and his crew cleaned up every evening after a long work day; and they were all polite and friendly. Ken is a pure pleasure to work with--he tells you every step of the process and answers all of your questions. When you call him--he calls you back.. He gives design advice when asked (including structural as well as concrete patterns and colors). We were especially concerned about our columns. They are not load-bearing, but decorative. Since our porch was sinking, the columns would frequently come out of the capitals (the decorative 'tops'). Ken and his crew removed them carefully and told us they would have to wait a week after pouring the cement to reinstall them. A week later, as promised, Ken was back. In a few hours they had all five columns raised and safely secured in each capital. They may be decorative, (they look sensational now), but he has them so securely placed at both the top and the bottom, that they could easily be mistaken for load-bearing. They are solidly grounded in each 'pedestal' and bolted into the cement. We also, with his design help, bumped out our front porch so we could have a sitting area with chairs and a table. Our curbside look has improved signficantly because of Ken's ideas and work. He knows his business and it shows. I would give Ken and his crew more than an A in all categories if it were possible.

Great due to weather it was a little past scheduled date but it was done on time & is beautiful.

They were excellent. The owner is very patient and knowledgable and his crew worked really well together. They were very focused and got the job done in a timely manner and they were all non-smokers. The price was very reasonable.

From reading other reviews, it looks like my experience isn't unusual. Either they do good work, or they never even bother to respond to potential customers. Horribly unprofessional. I would recommend that no one waste their time and delay their projects by trying to get this company to respond.

The crew was beyond, polite, punctual, and happy to go over every detail of the process with me repeatedly, until I was beyond comfortable. I have received nothing but compliments since on my driveway from lay people and contractors alike.

Ken was so efficient with his responses and with the job overall. Very professional, always calling to let me know his schedule and if he could make it out. He explained in detail everything he did and answered any questions that I had. I would not hesitate to recommend him or use him again for my concrete needs.

Ken May of AristoCrete came out in late May to give us an estimate. He went through the possible designs, the different color choices, took all the measurements, and helped us finalize the design and the details. He then promptly provided a quote and estimated date that the work would start. He spent a lot of time educating us on how he would do the work. We were concerned about using large equipment in our yard and he explained that most of the work would be done by hand (which it was). The work started right when Ken said it would in his estimate. The work was completed professionally and quickly. Ken willingly explained the work and answered any questions I had along the way. The concrete pad removal was more difficult than expected due to the pad being thicker and more rebar in it than thought, but the rest of the work went as expected. AristoCrete did not charge any more than their original quote for the extra work. They cleaned up the site each evening of the job, and did a thorough cleaning at the end. Ken has come out twice since completing the job to check on the curing and final color and answer questions. I highly recommend him.

Ken and company were wonderful! Ken helped us determine the shape, size and color of a brand new patio. He offered suggestions based on his expertise with pros and cons. He was right on schedule and provided us with the step by step process. The patio came out great. They did an excellent job. Due to rain, we ended up having to leave for vacation before they were done with the patio. Ken knew we were so excited and bummed not to see the finished product. He offered to take pictures and send as soon as they were complete...he sent us several which were awesome! I would definitely recommend him and his company to anyone looking for stamped concrete work.

The entire process, from inital meetings to accepting the proposal, scehduling and installation were fantastic. The team was professional, responsive to some minor changes to the design, and they always left the site clean and tidy. One year on, the patio is one of the most enjoyable parts of our house, gets constant use and many compliments. The quality of their work was top notch.

They showed up on time on Monday morning to begin tearing out the broken concrete driveway and remove the gate and fence posts. This took only a few hours. They then prepared the surface to receive the concrete and be inspected. They left that first day at about 1pm. The next morning they came early, poured the concrete and were done right about lunch time. One guy came the next morning to cut the expansion joints and we were done! We just had to wait a week for it to dry. Everyone from Aristo-crete was professional and hard working. They came. They did their work and they moved on to their next job. We are very pleased with the job. We drove around the city and saw other jobs that they did before we decided to go with these guys so we knew that they were good. We would definitely use them again if we ever needed concrete work.

Due to a busy schedle, it took a while for Joe and his crew to get us scheduled. Aristo-crete arrived on schedule, removed the sidewalk, and installed our new front walkway. The concrete is stamped with a decorative stone pattern and is colored. The walkway is exceptional. Everyone in the neighboorhood has commented on how nice it looks. We were very happy with the quality of the work Joe and the crew did. Joe well done.

They were real nice and I couldn?t ask for anything better. They came real quick and did the job. I was happy because the other guy wanted to cut off the end of my driveway. I would recommend them to anyone.

We had used Aristo crete at our old house and very EXTREMELY happy with the work and service Ken provided. We moved to our new home and our stamped walkways and patio looked awful. We called Ken and he called us back the same day. He gave us some suggestions and advice that only cost us about 200 and we were able to do the work ourselves with a simple fix! It is rare to find such a reliable and trustworthy business.

This is the second time we have used this company. The first time was at our old house. Their work is fantastic. I have gotten a lot of concrete work in the past, and many times the workers just look a little suspect. Just some shady characters. This guy runs a very tight ship. All clean cut workers. They showed up on time too. The price was very fair, and we feel their finished product was great. Hopefully we will not have to move again, but if we do, I would not hesitate to use this company again.

Overall, I was extremely pleased with the work and interactions with this company. To start, I got three quotes. Ken did the estimate for Ariso-Crete, and he had excellent communication skills. He explained the overview of the job, and answered all my questions clearly. Specifically, I was concerned about grading the concrete correctly to avoid pooling of water on and around the driveway. Aristo-Crete's price was very fair, and fell in-between the prices quoted by the other two companies. I felt their price was the most realistic for the job. We scheduled the job, and they did the work exactly as planned. It took about 1 day to remove the old driveway, and another day to pour the new one. After this, we waited about 1-week before using the new driveway. Once the concrete cured it looked beautiful, and gave the house a much more modern look. After the first rain, I was able to verify that the driveway was graded well, such that the water did not accumulate anywhere. I highly reccomend this company.

We contacted Aristo-Crete last year for an estimate for a stamped concrete patio. Joe came over, discussed some ideas and provided us an estimate. We called him late last year and confirmed an appointment for as early as possible this year. He came over once more to finalize shape, patterns and size. He and his crew started on time as planned. Despite the estimate being an year old, the price did not go up. Joe and crew were accommodating of our requests/changes part-way. They did a great job sloping the patio correctly, making the pattern/shape/colors just as we wanted, and finally cleaning up. We wanted the excavated dirt to be put in a particular spot in our yard, they put it exactly there without any spillovers. Before they left after the 3-day project, they even put caution tape around the gate so that mail-carriers/UPS-carriers would not step on the fresh concrete. Overall we are very pleased with the work and would certainly look to them for future concrete projects. We will also recommend them to our friends. One point of feedback: put the project specifications on paper. This is something I am personally picky about, so this is probably not an issue for most people. Joe & crew knew what they were doing - the original requirements as well as our changes. They communicated their understanding verbally. However I wasn't clear we communicated correctly. So I tried to draw out the design/color/shape on a piece of paper, and this helped me ensure that we were on the same page. Again, this is absolutely not a complaint by any means - we would really get them back in a heartbeat if and when we need any concrete work. Ensuring clarity by drawing/writing on paper is something I like to do as a matter of course so that I know all parties (especially me) are on the same page.

Ken has been very responsive, professional and courteous in this entire process. He came out immediately to give us a free estimate and work around my and my wife's schedule. He was the cheapest of several contractors that we talked to. He was very patient with us in trying to figure out what color and design we wanted for the patio and was very helpful with suggestions. He took the time to explain exactly how the whole process would work and he was right on with the expectations that he set on timelines. His follow up was prompt and he was easy to get in touch with. I don't think I ever had to leave him a message...he always answered his phone. He never tried to "up sell" us on anything and wanted to make sure we were happy. He even dumped stone in between the paver stones on a sidewalk that I built and leveled the stones to make sure it looked right. Ken was great to deal with and I would recommend him for stamped concrete.

The overall work is excellent. Every person who sees the patio says it is beautiful. My brother who does some exterior construction, but mostly interior, thought the work was done quite well. The design or shape of the patio matches flowing and wavy garden beds in our backyard. We are quite satisfied at this point!
