Mate was wonderful to work with and did an excellent job refinishing our 1960’s hardwood floors. He was prompt to respond to our request for a quote, his quote was reasonable, he kept us informed during every stage of the process and provided a beautiful finished product. Mate did an amazing job restoring our 15 y.o. Hardwood floors. There were no surprises and the work was exactly as he explained it would be. Minimal dust, minimal interuption to our lives, and excellent results. We were able to come home in the evenings and didn't need to replace our base boards after the work was done. He also had a huge amount of positive reviews which was a big influence on our choice. His work was everything we expected and more.

Mate did an exceptional job on my parents floors. He sanded, stained, put clear coat on and buffed them. He came back the next morning to put another clear coat on. He was very punctual and professional throughout the entire process. No mess in the house and very clean work. Price was very reasonable for the top of the line quality he provides. Would recommend him to anyone!

The contractor was excellent. Meta explained what was included in the quote and answered all of my questions. He gave me the time frame in which the work would take place. Once the work started he worked diligently and answered any questions I had. He gave me the time he would be at my home each day and he was there. He let the room that the work took place in neat and clean. Very professional. Excellent job.

We had two people out for quotes. One was a big business and the other Mate. The bigger bussines quoted us SIGNIFICANTLY higher than Mate. We ended up going with Mate not only because the cost, but he genuinely seems like an honest, great guy when you meet him. You will understand if you meet him. He worked around our weird vacation schedule and did an amazing job! My wife still comments on how it feels like a new home when we walk into the rooms he refinished.

I would have given a higher rating for the Living room, hallway and steps, except for the issues with the risers which were untouched with the old stain and varnish-- The risers were not done like the rest of the floors so they looked ugly.

Mate was phenomenal! He redid the floors in the whole house and they look absolutely beautiful! Mate showed up when he said he would and he worked hard and completed the job when he said it would be done. I’m convinced I could not have found anyone who could do a better job than Mate. I get compliments on my beautiful floors every time someone sees them for the first time! And, the cost was very reasonable! I feel like I definitely got more than what I payed for.

Working with Mate was an absolute pleasure. He arranged a visit to our place for an estimate quickly and provided a very fair price. He arrived each day at the agreed upon time and completed the project on schedule and at the quoted price. The previous owner of our home had done some nonstandard work that raised issues, but Mate was able to help us identify solutions that ended up looking great without increasing the price. We also had some very large pet stains on the floor, but Mate recommended a wood stain that covered them up and left the floors looking beautiful. I cannot recommend Mate and M.F. Hardwood strongly enough.

Mate did a wonderful job on our reclaimed barn flooring! He said he'd never done reclaimed wood before, but was up for the challenge. He was concerned that there would still be a lot of imperfections when I explained to him that's exactly the point! We wanted it to look like barn flooring but to be able to walk on it without getting splinters. The look is beyond what we expected and Mate was so pleasant to have around - every review I read about him is so true - if you need floor refinishing, he's the guy to call!! Can't say enough good things.
