Wonderful! Foreman kept me informed throughout the project using picturestakenduringi installation.

I called quite a few roofers and from my experience with them, they are one of the best. They covered all the bases and provided me with their insurance papers. They did a beautiful job, every question that I had they would answer, showed me the materials, good communication and cleaned up everything. They were really good.

They arrived on time, were friendly, professional & got the job done sooner than they estimated. They were very careful with our belongings & everything arrived with nothing broken. I would hire them again.

From the first contact, Paul and Benny were GREAT! We contacted them through Angie's late in the evening, and got a call first thing in the morning that Paul would be out to look at things before noon that day. Paul and Benny worked with us on getting our 110 yr old house the repairs it deserved, talking with two outside gutter contractors to help us work out the best solution to fit our house and its style (We ended up using a product Durst had). They also coordinated with a mason to remove an unused chimney, and repair our main chimney that had been damaged. We were kept up to date on where things stood on scheduling, the crews showed up on time and worked quickly and had our large old house roofed in 2 days. The gutter crew took an additional day about a week later, due to weather. After each crew was done, our yard was actually cleaner than it was when they began!

I'm not impressed by many contractors but Dustin and his crew are top notch. Dustin promptly arrived to do the estimate. he pointed out his observations on what he noticed with my house and the solutions to fix them and the reasons why. After talking to other contractors and getting other quotes I picked Durst. Dustin and the crew showed up shorthanded in the morning and they busted their backs tearing the whole roof off, pulling that old deteriorated insulation out of the attic, re sheeting and installing the new shingles, and cleaning up before it got dark. Dustin was up on the roof working right along side of his guys. I watched the whole job from start to finish and the attention to detail was excellent. The next day Dustin and Tom came out and blew in the new insulation with the same detail as the roofing job. I'll tell you one thing about Durst Roofing they are an old school hardworking good group of guys that you don't see a lot of these days. The gutters and downspouts are subcontracted out and will be installed Wednesday. I don't for-see a problem there. If so, I will report back.

Came out promptly and gave us an estimate. Price was best of our estimates but work was 2 weeks out so we opted for another company that came the next day. He followed up, was very polite and prompt. Would call again in the future.

First off, myself and my wife we both live in Maryland and Paul scheduled a Saturday meeting with us even though he does not work weekends. It was snowing and we scheduled an install date. Did work out as planned because of the weather. But allis done!!! Thanks for everything and thank you Jo from Durst!!!

I contacted Durst Roofing in August after looking on Angie's list & seeing their good reviews. I left a message explaining that I needed an estimate for repairing my chimney and a separate estimate for a new roof. The employee, Dustin Durst was prompt in returning my call and came to inspect my chimney the next day. When he arrived, he inspected our roof & chimney and gave us an estimate of $600 to fix the chimney, and $8,600 to do the roof, which he said needed replaced asap, and showed us pictures where you could see the felt paper through gaps in the shingles. I asked for an approximate time frame for when the work could be completed and was told 2 -3 weeks for the chimney and about 3 weeks for the roof. We gave Dustin a check for $300 as requested and signed the contract to have the chimney fixed. I told him I would be in touch about the roof with in the week. After getting a similar estimate from a different company, I called Durst Roofing and a left message telling them we were going with them for our roof. This was around August 20th. Time went by and I didn't hear from them. I waited a few weeks and called to see when the chimney work was going to be done. After several messages I finally got a return call from a woman telling me she didn't know exactly when, but "they usually do that kind of thing on Saturdays" , so probably next Saturday. I waited until that Saturday passed and called again. I left a message around Sept. 10th inquiring about the chimney work and asking if they were still able to do our roof. No response. I called 3 more times (both the business and cell number) over the next 3 weeks, leaving 2 more messages, with no response. I finally left a message on the cell number telling them this was no way to run a business, and that they had cashed my $300 check on August 21st, I wanted my chimney repaired now. Dustin called me back and gave a few half-hearted apologies/excuses and said he would come no later than the next Wednesday or Thursday, Oct 8-9. He arrived just before dark, went up on the roof and started to remove the old crown. He came back down and said he needed to go get a tool to remove it, as the crown wasn't coming off easily. I asked him if he could do a good job in the dark, and he replied that he wasn't coming back tonight, he soonest he could return was Monday Oct 12th, and he would need access to water to mix the morter. He said he only came now because he had said he would be here Oct. 9th. I don't know why I he thought I wanted him to come without doing the repair! I told him I wasn't going to be home on Monday, because my 4 kids had several appointments throughout the day, but I would make water available. On the morning of Friday Oct. 10th, 2 workers showed up unannounced to fix the chimney. I'm not even sure if they were Durst employees or subcontractors. They finished up and I paid them the balance owed. By now, I was scrambling to find someone who give me a safe/reliable roof before winter. I had a contractor come Oct 11th for an estimate. I asked him to check the chimney repair if he wouldn't mind. He showed me a picture of the new crown, which was cracked in 2 places! After being replaced the day before! We signed a contract with that contractor for our roof and he said he would fill the cracks with silicone for us. He had the roof finished within 2 weeks of us contacting him. Dustin Durst called and asked how the chimney repair went. I told him about the cracks and that I wasn't happy that guys just came without notice. I don't know how companies stay in business treating customers like this. I understand small delays can happen, but Durst should have returned my calls and let me know they were too busy to do the work. I was stuck with them because they had my $300 downpayment. I used Angie's list to avoid a mess like this, which is why I'm leaving this review as a warning to other potential customers.

Outdoor results: The roofing crew was on time and on task all day. There work ethic was commendable. They also provided covering for shrubs and bushes. there was no trash or debris left on the property. Indoor results: The indoor repair was equally successful. He repaired and matched the ceiling design to perfection. It was obvious the painter took pride in his work. . Conclusion: The Durst employees were professional, efficient, and competent. I would highly recommend the Durst Company. It was a totally positive experience.

It didn't! Never heard from them again! Waited three weeks for their estimate and moved on!

We wanted a bid to repair hail damage instead of signing over the insurance check. They came and took measurements and made a list of damage. Said they would get back to us the next week. Never heard from them. It's been several months. Ended up using Kline construction from Millersburg, OH. Very satisfied with their work.

was i had some trouble,,, with the " sales guy ",,,,,, not the owner !!! , that was a long story,,,, and i dont think he works there anymore,,,,,,,,,the work crew , was go getters,,, they WORK,,,, i liked there style,,, the roof looks great,,,

They had a large efficient crew who finished each house in one day. They kept the mess to a minimum and cleaned every thing up.

The roof was as per our insurance appraisal. Although plastic was hung to catch old shingles, there were far too many staples in our yard. We did not find this acceptable as we were assured there would be no excess staples; we have dogs and children playing in the yard. We were billed extra for new down-spouting and leaf-guards. However, upon receiving new gutters along the front porch it allowed rain to come down directly across the porch and over the gutters going into the ground and directly into the basement/foundation below due to incorrect adjustment in hanging them. No attempt was made to come out and fix it. So, while the roof was acceptable? the extra work was not.

determined possible ice damming with heat lose in attic, shoveled heavy snow from roof of house...will return to evaluate future repairs..

Work was done in a timely fashion, best price from three vendors contacted.

They replaced the shingles on our 2 & 3 story house, installed copper chimney caps, a new section of gutter.

As the owner of a custom built (1921) house, I was concerned that the charm and integrity be upheld when a new roof was needed. I was quite impressed with the quality and professionalism of the Durst crew as they removed the existing roof and proceeded artfully crafting the new shingles into place. I would highly recommend their services to anyone needing a new roof.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. I absolutely cannot say enough about them. He came out the same day that I called. He got on the roof and looked over everything. He told me what my problems were and what he could do about it. He gave me an estimate that day plus sent one via email. He met with an insurance contractor at his own time and expense to see if we could get any additional help, which was his suggestion. He did save me some money. I absolutely love them.

He was timely, cost efficient and fast. Very good work.

I think they were a little bit higher, they were around $11,500 I believe. I thought they were pretty professional too, they were prompt the same was as Pitszulo, I didn't have any problems with them. They're a little bit pricy. I wouldn't use them again because I hope I wouldn't need anyone else again.
