stamped concrete patio, walkway, fire pit and stone wall
Description of Work: Our patio turned out much better than we ever imagined it could. Brad took our idea and make it better than we originally planned. We had a small paved patio, now we have a huge beautiful stamped concrete patio, with a nice border and a beautiful rock wall and fire pit. It’ll make entertaining outside so much fun The crew worked quickly and professionally and I was highly recommend them.

So far no show for more than 3mos. and no call. I have never death with anyone in business like this before. I am now concerned as I have paid a deposit and he hasn't even called or returned a call all summer. I will try again and then notify BBB if he doesn't call back again. From the BBB reports, he seems to react to them.
Description of Work: Contracted Brad(owner) to do stamped concrete layover around my pool. Gave him a deposit of $1,150.00. in May, asked to have job done by 4th. Of July. He said He'd try, but was very busy. Have not heard anything from him since. He seems to have disappeared. I called and left him a message 2weeks ago to tell him that maybe we should go for early spring to do the job and for him to call me. So far I haven't heard back. After Reading some other reviews, I'm now getting worried. I will try to reach him again

He was accomodating and nice until he got his first check for 50% down. After that he was very unprofessional, dishonest, and unreliable. He was disrespectful towards my family and our home. He made design decisions for me without consultation and then became angry, childish and verbally abusive when I did not like what he did. We have had thousands of dollars of work done to our house and never had such an awful experience as this. Hire him at your own risk!
Description of Work: I hired this company to remove our existing deck and replace it with a stamped concrete patio and stamped concrete steps. The sides of the steps and the edge of the patio were to be finished with stone. The owner, Brad, came to tear out our deck 3 weeks before he returned to do any concrete work. During this time we could not use our back steps to our fenced-in yard because of the 2x4's that were set to form the steps at a later date. This was very inconvenient considering that is usually where we let our dog out and is also our main entrance to the home. When he finally started the job he would come and do very little work until I had to call him to see when he would be there next. The contract stated the job was to be completed approximately August 15th. It is now August 25th and still not done. When he poured the steps he did not put bullnosed edges on them as was stated in the contract. He said that was my fault because he asked me if I wanted stone facing and I said yes. I did not realize it was either bullnose or stone facing and he did not mention that important component. When he came to lay out the stone to face the steps and edge of the patio on Tuesday, August 23rd, I did not like the style nor the color of the stone that he picked. He never gave me the option to pick the stone. Since the stone was not yet applied to the concrete, I took it upon myself to go to a masonry materials store 30 minutes away to pick out the stone that I wanted. At that time I also decided that I wanted colored mortar. While at the masonry store I was told that the way Brad was applying the stone was completely wrong. There was no edge at the tops of the steps to protect the stone from water. When this was mentioned to Brad he got very belligerent and said that he knew what he was doing. When I said that I wanted a different style of stone and colored mortar he said that it would cost more. At 10:45 AM on August 25th we made an agreement by telephone that my husband and I would meet with him in person the next day to discuss how we were going to move forward. He said he wanted paid for the work he had completed thus far and that he was going to draw up an addendum to the contract that we could sign the following day for the extras that he did (patched front porch step, extra step on patio ledge) and also for future work. This meeting was to take place around 2 pm August 26th. While I was at work August 25th he came to our home in the afternoon and tried to bully my husband into paying the remainder of the bill. This was not the agreement. We were all going to sit down the next day and discuss things but I guess since our last conversation (6 hours prior) he determined that was too long for him to wait. Eventually, the offer was even made to him that same afternoon to pay him for the work completed minus the cost that another contracter would charge to do the stonework. Obviously I couldn't determine that value until after I called around and found someone willing to finish it. Why would I have a mason lined up to do work that he was supposed to do? That doesn't even make sense. That generous offer was not good enough for him. Like an impatient child, he could not even wait the time necessary to line up another contractor and get an accurate estimate for the work that still needed completed. He wanted me to rely on HIS estimate for the work. He said he was sick of driving so far to the job site (45 minutes) and just wanted to be done with it. He lied and said I had told him the morning of August 25th to clean up his mess and leave even though we had a meeting set for the next day. He said I had told him I wanted someone else to do the stonework when no such comment had been made. Finally, he left on August 25th and said he wasn't coming back; that he was going to sue us; that his lawyer would be contacting us. He is a bully. He left threatening messages on my husband's and my phone and hurled insults about me to my family. I have never heard of a business owner acting in such a manner to a paying customer. The contract stated 50% down and 50% upon completion as is generally the case in home remodeling. He did not complete the work yet still demanded to be paid. The contract was not fulfilled. The project is far from complete as all the stonework is still left undone. He also did not adhere to some of the terms of the written contract; he did not bullnose the steps, made the treads only 10 inches instead of the stated 12 and did not complete on or near the expected date. Not only is the job not done but I have to go through the trouble of finding someone else willing to finish his work. He also did not clean up after himself. He left leak spots on our driveway from his car. The first day he was at our home I told him his car was leaking and he needed to put something underneath to catch the drips. He disregarded my request. He also left drippings of concrete all over our 1 year old concrete driveway. He did not properly reattach our wooden fence panel. He did not remove the old walkway pavers and instead threw them on top of our new landscaping. This has been a disaster.
