Poorly. He used roofing tar paper under the floor and roofing nails instead of the correct paper and nails underneath the floating floor. We brought out another expert because the floor felt spongy when you walk over it. He lifted up a floorboard and told us that the wrong materials were used to lay the nice wood floor. Unfortunately the floor was layed improperly and we have to replace it again. He was a nice person with a good heart but he is obviously a roofer not a floor installer.

I had a toilet leaking and I called him to see if he could fix it. I informed him I also would like an estimate on remodeling a bathroom. This was on a Friday. He said he was really busy and would call me back on Monday. I replied that was ok as I had the water shut off and had another bathroom to use. Come Monday, no call. Ditto Tuesday, Wed, Thur. and Friday. Then I called Gutridge Plumbing in Newark and they sent a man out right away and fixed the problem.

Dan quickly responded to my call within about an hour and promptly arrived to give an estimate. He performed the work 2 days later - The work was completed with excellent craftsmanship and exceeded my expectations. I spent the entire day with Dan, and I can attest to his positive attitude and professional demeanor. Overall I was very pleased and I definitely to use him again for future projects.

I received a list of four companies from Angie's list who might take on my job. I contacted all four, but only one - Young's Remodeling Handyman Service, bothered to call me back. I told him my plans, he came out the next day and gave me an estimate. Three days later he came back and did the work exactly as we agreed. His work was completed in less than two hours and was extremely well done. He gave me a 10% senior discount. I am very happy with the quality, punctuality, and value of his work. We plan on having him back for some additional work in the future.

Dan came to my house and reviewed all the areas that I wanted work done. We looked in the crawl space under the bathroom, he took some photos. I received his estimate of $1700, which I thought was a bit high. $700 of that quote was to build the closet, so I told him I would put that project on hold and hire him to do the electric and plumbing. That estimate was about $1000. Dan came over the night before he was to start to collect the 50% down payment. At this time he started pointing out that the base molding he would have to install would be above and beyond the estimate. He also said that any drywall repairs necessary for doing the job would be extra, even if it was related to the installation of the toilet and sink. Then we went back to the crawl space and he told me that he does not do well in tight spaces. He took some measurements of some foam insulation and said the toilet would need to be 20" from the wall. I measured the same distance and it was 12". At this time I realized that he didn't want to do the work and I just told him that if he didn't think he could do it, I would hire someone else. It was disappointing that he had spent the time to review the project with me and then later decided it was too tight of a workspace for him to work comfortably. I think that when I removed the closet from the project, it became too small of a job for him. He ended up wasting my time.

It went very well, except I think some of the pricing was too high for work done.
