I found this company in the phone book and decided to risk going with an unknown because Angie's List could only find companies in Columbus and I wanted to try a more local option. I called and was given very clear directions to the shop. I found the shop, but it is really a house with a shop in the enlarged garage. The shop is not pretty, there is no "sales floor", just the space where the work is done. The folks at Margaret's were very friendly, offering to help carry in the rocker and the bolt of fabric I had. They showed me what they recommended for how to best reupholster the rocker and I followed their recommendation. The employee who typically provided the work estimates was not there when I dropped off the rocker, but he called the next day with an estimate. They called when the rocker was done and I picked it up. It looked great and they had covered it in loose plastic to protect it. I paid by check and they helped me put the rocker back into my station wagon. For my first experience with upholstery, I was very satisfied. I also liked that they had late afternoon and evening hours, which meant I was able to drop off and pick up the rocker after my workday ended.
