+ 0 moreTim Mathie is the owner. He took over from the family of the previous owner who had passed away, so the business has been around our town for over 30 years. This is the second time Tim has fixed my vacuum, and since I was very happy with the previous repair, I took it back to him. He was about to close on a Saturday afternoon, so I assumed I'd have to leave the vac over the weekend. However, he offered to take a look right then, and was able to cut the hose, remove the obstructing debris that had built up, and reattach it on the spot. It was worth a lot to me to get the vac back immediately, but he would only accept $5. So I promised to come home and write him up on Angie's LIst. Obviously, most vac repairs can't be done that fast, and would cost much more, so I don't want to set people up for disappointment. I can pretty much safely say, though, that if you take your vac there you will get an honest estimate and the most cheerful customer service you've ever had from a repair person. He is a real card! Will definitely use again and would love to buy a new vac from him (he sells vacs and takes trade-ins too) just to reward that kind of small-business service.
Description of Work: My upright vacuum cleaner hose was stepped on and I punctured the plastic hose when I tried to fix it myself, so the vac would no longer work properly. I asked the owner of this shop if he could trim the bad part out and reattach the hose so I wouldn't have to buy a whole new hose.
