He demolished the deck down to the joice boards. Then told me those needed replacing as well. He then demolished those and built the deck. When the project was completed he told me it was a few inches shorter than the previous deck, exposing pipes and rotten wood. He said the wood would need to dry out and would shrink a bit and I could stain it myself in a month or so. I didn t realize I had to stain it myself until the project was almost complete and I had already paid him. After two weeks I sent him pictures of large gaps in the floor boards. He told me he could fill them or replace the boards. I told him I d prefer if he replaced the boards then I never heard back from him. The gaps grew larger and I reached out again July 6 to ask when he would have time to fix the boards. He told me I would owe him $130 more and I told him I wasn t paying him anymore but he needed to make it right. I investigated further realizing he couldn t be trusted and found out there are several more with the deck. The space between the spindles isn t up to code and the first step onto the deck isn t up to code. He also didn t use flashing between the house and the ledger board. The top of the handrail wasn t properly installed and it s already bowing forward. In total four boards on the deck need to be replaced. The contractor came back made minimal changes, was very rude and argumentative, the deck is not up to code.

Joe removed an old wood ramp and replaced with a longer one. This was done at my mothers house. It really turned out nice. They were very pleased with the new ramp as was I. He completed in just 1 day.

Communication was outstanding, did excellent work. Would highly recommend. Thumbs up to Joe.

Very shoddy work: I hired Denton Int to replace the piers under our back porch and replace two columns in the patio portion as all were exposed to mud and water and were rotting. He came right out & give me a verbal of the work: remove railings off the porch & 3-4 rows of deck boards, dig holes for new piers, add concrete to support new piers & install new piers, plus replace the two columns as they are rotting. Received quote stating that and the cost. He called a few days later and asked if piers could be built in front so that railings and boards don't need to be removed, but it would be the same work, just in another spot-with no credit for the hours of labor saved (I asked). Ended up using boards as "girders"-no piers were placed, they notched one part to sit on cement piling, two other portions don't even touch the girder-on one they put in 2 shims, the other- nothing. Did not replace the 2 columns, just placed concrete around the front to look like they were out of the water, but the backs are still exposed and the bottoms are still rotted!! When I got home from work and saw what he had done, I texted and he said, "The plan changed after we had gotten started. I talked to your husband and was good with what was done." Direct quote from text. My husband did not have anything to do with the job. He did not know the scope of work that was discussed, what was expected, and HE DID NOT SIGN THE CONTRACT. All I can say, is-inpect the work if you hire this guy. He will cut corners everywhere. I do NOT recommend this company. Shoddy work, shady business practices. I can show you pictures if you want to see them.

Showed up every day, on time.

I will list the important things for me the consumer. 1 he responded and gave me a bid in a reasonable time. 2 he started the job when he said he would and completed it in a timely manner. 3 The quality of his work was excellent. 4 I plan and will use him in the near future. The cost of the project was reasonable and in line with industry standards. Joe is likable, honest and a pleasure to work with. Anyone can call me and I will discuss my experience with Joe on the phone.

He kept changing the price on me.

Joe kept me up to date on days he would be here, was anxious to please, did quality work. I had a picture of my project in my mind and he brought it into reality

Follow through was great.

Joe did a great job. He showed us some designs to help with the project and they worked out really well. We have a very old house and he did a great job dealing with it.

Joe was quick, efficient, and did the work mostly by himself. My father and I helped out some. About a week after hiring him we had a brand new front porch deck and roof. I would definitely reccommend him and call again in the future.

Joe is great. He is easy to work with, efficient and good at what he does. My only con is he left the dry wall etc in our garage instead of cleaning it up. Overall great

Joe is now my "go to" guy for any repairs or improvements I might need. He repaired sagging joist, replaced a patio door and repaired drywall. He is a great guy, easy to deal with, honest, dependable and does a fantastic job. I can recommend him highly!

Joe made an appointment and was very prompt. Did a great job on the repairs and sent me pics while the job was being done. Will definitely use him for other projects. I have 2 rentals and always needing work done.
