The Grounds Guys of Westerville

My mower broke and my dealer couldn't fix it for weeks. I contacted the Ground Guys and indicated I was looking for service for at least eight weeks because I was going on vacation as well. Service was good. I probably could have gotten it cheaper, but a lot of other places were not taking new customers. I appreciated their willingness to work with me. If I needed service again, I would definitely use them.

It's fine. They're adequate and more competitively priced than their competitors.

They are outstanding and I would use them again in a minute.

They did three monthly treatments per the Big Deal and each treatment went very well. I did try to contact them to extend the contract and continue the service, though I never got a returned phone call or email from them.

he got through the entire yard very quickly and did seem to be in a hurry. He missed a part but went back and covered it after we mentioned it. Also, he fertilized the back yard, even though we didn't want him too because of our dogs.

They came everytime expected and they left a little sign on the lawn when treatment was applied to warn you (for pet and kid safety).

Took them forever to actually come out and do the work. They indicated it was because of weather, but I honestly think that was a lame excuse. However, they did do the work and did a decent job. My PRIMARY concern has been their refusal to get back to me on the fertilization treatment they still owe me and also to provide me with an estimate on a whole season of fertilization. I've sent them messages multiple time on Angieslist and they apparently either a) don't check their Angieslist messages any longer and/or b) they really don't want my business. In any case, I guess I'm left with no other option than to give them a poor rating and hope that I can find a lawn care service that is cost effective and responsive.

Did a great job cleaning up a yard that had not been serviced in more than a year.

It went well. I didn't get to talk to the technician, but the service went well.

I cannot be more pleased. These young men were friendly, on time, respectful, professional, funny and very very thorough!! My 84 year old neighbor (I fondly call Mrs. Green) who is a fanatic with her yard....yep 84, loved the men that did the actual work (the crew). The owner, Justin came promptly, could not have been nicer. I would highly recommend this company to ANYONE and EVERYONE!!

I called many lawn-care services for several days, many of whom were higher rated on Angie's list. Finally, I called The Grounds Guys of Westerville and was told I would receive a call back. I was called by the owner of the Company Justin and he personally came our and gave me an estimate. And said he was able to do the work the NEXT DAY! This was amazing because everyone else was at least 10 days or 2 weeks out. My lawn was horrible due to all the recent rain and my home owners association was anxious due to me being out of town. But Justin was very nice and personable and pleasant and gave me a price that was much lower than the others. I was amazed and was nervous about the work that was going to be performed. The work was AWESOME and all of his staff were courteous and pleasant. My lawn looks like a different place and everything was clean and pristine. I will definitely use this company again and I would recommend anyone as well!

I purchased an Angies List coupon for 4 hours of labor for landscaping/yard clean up. Recently moved into a new home with a garden bed surrounding the perimeter of the home overgrown with 3 foot to 5 foot weeds. It was a job too daunting for myself. GGW arrived 15 minutes after appt time, however it was the first appt of the day and there was traffic and they called to let me know of the unfortunate delay. The representative was friendly and professional and answered all my questions concerning my needs. They also trimmed nicely approx. 10 bushes. I would definitely do business with them again!

They're fabulous. They were wonderful. I was really pleased. As a matter of fact, I went back and hired them for another special deal. There was more to do and I bought the big deal one more time. I didn't have to clean-up. It was great. They were professional. The foreman knew his crew. He made sure of his crew. I was happy with it. They were right there. They called me and said that they'll be there at 10. I had to put in what dates I am available and those dates already passed.

The guy who was sent out was very non responsive. He just came out, was doing work and I wanted to ask some questions but it seemed like he had a lot going on in his mind. He came, did the job and left. I wouldn't use him again. Normally when we have vendors out we like to engage in conversation. I was not satisfied with his demeanor. I didn't pay more than $99 but I was going to have another service done. I was going to have them do hedges and some maintenance on the lawn but when he came out and I saw his demeanor I used another company. They did what they came out to do but my problem is with the demeanor in which it was done. The pricing was competitive.

We've had very good experience with them. We're quite pleased. It started out with Angie's List Big Deal from them. After we got the name, we worked out a contract with them. Firstly, the guys are very, very friendly and easy to work with. Secondly, they're very precise in their work.

Purchased the big deal through Angie's List to have the Ground Guys do a winter cleanup of my property. We scheduled a time easily and they showed up when agreed upon. They informed me early on that they would have to charge me extra because of the size of the property. I agreed and they did a good thorough job. I would use them again and recommend them to friends & neighbors.

It takes them about 15-20 minutes to do a treatment. So far they have only done 2 of the 3 treatments.

The ground guys were very responsive and worked me into their schedule on short notice. It was a give and take, but we found time that worked for both of us. The team that arrived was friendly and consultative. They got the work done quickly.

I have contacted Grounds Guys via the Angie's List messaging service and through g-mail. I contacted them 8 times. I only heard back from them once and they told me they would schedule within the next few days and it's now been over a month and more emails without hearing from them. I no longer want service from this company since they have had such poor customer service.

Service was fine, zero communication prior and no confirmation of when they would come out. They just showed up one day.

Company could never be reached and never returned my messages.

They did a great job and I have not had any weed problems since.

Ended up doing weedkiller instead of seed as that's what my yard needed. Didn't charge me for any difference in price.. Which I appreciated! They came one day while I was at work and left notes about their service. Have seen a reduction in amount of dandelions (it was bad!) Service performed Mid-May... Not sure what date exactly.
