JJ CABUS MOVERS

It did not go well at all. They showed up later than agreed to. They had too small of a truck for this move. They did not have enough movers. They sent three movers initially, then added three more, six movers total in the end. The move of this two-bedroom condo took three round-trips from Reynoldsburg to Worthington (about 20 miles between the condo and the house). The move took 12 hours, and they did not move everything. They did not put one of the beds back together. There was a bit of bickering between a few of the movers as they had one disagreement on how to move a fairly heavy piece of furniture. On a few occasions during the move, they indicated that they could not fit the furniture into the intended room. And in all cases the furniture did fit into the intended room. They left one couch in my kitchen, because they said it would not fit into my three-season room. I moved the couch the next day into my three-season room, I just had to take the the three seat-backs (they come off with a bit of jiggling) off the couch, move the couch, then slide the seat-backs back into place. They damaged several pieces of our furniture, scratches and dents for the most part, but one leg and a portion of the corner it is attached to was torn off one piece of furniture as they moved it. The cost for this move was substantially higher than their original estimate. We started around 1 pm on 7/31/2015 and did not end until 1 am the next day. It was exhausting to say the least. Then the communication broke down as I was talking to the owner (or at least I think he was the owner) about repairing the damaged furniture. He just drug his feet and was only responsive when I told him I would dispute the charge on my credit card until the furniture was repaired. The damage to our furniture occurred on 7/31/2015, and by Labor Day weekend (more than a month after the move) the repair of the furniture was still not scheduled. The continued un-responsiveness moved me to terminate my relationship with this mover, and schedule the furniture repair on my own. I take no pleasure in posting this review.

***DO NOT USE THIS MOVING COMPANY***Contacted this Mover 2 months ago to move on Aug 8th from Hilliard, Ohio to West Jefferson Ohio. John Cabus would not return phone calls a few days prior to the move. Finally caught John on the phone the evening before the move, he said the movers would be there and arrive between 9-10 am. 10 o'clock rolled around and no movers. I called John at 11 am, he said movers were running behind an appliance move first thing that morning. I asked that he call his crew and call me back with an ETA. NO CALL BACK... I called again at 12:30 pm and left a message. I received a call form the moving crew leader a bit after 1 pm saying they were running extremely behind this morning because their 1st appointment didn't show for some 2 to 2.5 hours. Crew leader said they were in New Albany and leaving soon. I expected a 2pm ETA from New Albany. I call again at 2:15pm, "we're on our way", repeats the driver... and finally at 3 pm, 5-6 hours late, the movers arrive. So this 12 hour (Estimated by JJ Cabus Movers) ordeal begins. By 8 o'clock they had filled their 26 foot box truck with about 95% of the house's contents. By 11pm all the furniture was off loaded into our new home and back to Hilliard to get the rest. By 1:30 AM Saturday morning the movers were settling up with me. None of the Bedroom furniture was put back together. Most items were just loaded in the garage for us to take into the house the next day. The next day we discovered that our brand new washing machine & Tread-mill were severely damaged. This was definitely the most stressful part of our home buying/selling experience.

quoted one price and then actually demanded 2 to 3 times more. did not take care of stuff, broke the dryer, ruined a few other articles. Drug the actual move out over 3 days because personnel difficulties and as I recall were late everyday. Also crew fought amongst themselves.

These guys were great to work with - very friendly, professional, and respectful of me and my furniture and belongings. They arrived on time, did all the work I asked them to do, offered to do more if needed. I would definitely recommend them and use them again.

They were prompt, efficient and friendly. They did what they were supposed to do. They didn't damage anything. They did everything a mover is supposed to do. They were right on time.
