Creative Custom Woodworks

I called Hope Restoration with my desire to find a woodworker to replace and add trim to my daugher's bedroom. Hope Restoration put me in contact with Ed Kupiec. I told Mr. Kupiec my vision for a "Princess Bedroom." Mr. Kupiec looked at the pictures I had cut out and some of my drawings, listened to my ideas and then began to make drawings of his own to show me what he could do in my daughter's room. After he showed me his ideas, he gave me a price that fit into my range. I gave a check as a downpayment once I determined I was going to use his services. When I told him that I was going to paint the room prior to his installation, he said it would be easier for him if I didn't paint because they might "rip" the paint when taking out the trim. I insisted on painting, so he and his brother suggested that they remove the trim on the spot to make sure they did not ruin my paint job upon installation. Mr. Kupiec was very flexible with my desire to do some of the work myself to save money. I purchased some of the woodwork myself because I found it on clearance and I really liked it. I also painted the room myself and painted the woodwork prior to its being installed (which ended up being a VERY good choice). When the wood installation was complete, the room was stunning because the paint was all done. I had to do some touch up because that is to be expected when people touch/install white woodwork. The amount of touch-up was so minimal, however, I could hardly believe it. The results of the room were outstanding. Mr. Kupiec also was very responsive to my e-mails. He was punctual. He arrived at my house right when he said he would and finished EVERYTHING in a day. He also cleaned up when he was finished. We had one misunderstanding whereas I thought Mr. Kupiec was going to fill the gap between the popcorn ceilings in the room and the crown molding. Our discussion about this point became a bit strained, but I was willing to let it go because the room is beautiful. However, Mr. Kupiec really wanted to make me completely satisfied with the room, so he went to the store, returned with caulk and remedied the situation. I couldn't have been happier. The result was polished and perfect. Mr. Kupiec was worried that he could not caulk as well as a painter. However, the job he did was better than any painter or anyone else I have ever seen. Mr. Kupiec is not only a carpenter, he is an artist. He and his brother transformed my daughter's room into a little girl's dream. Thank you!
