 + -1 moreThe work that he did complete was very good, but has not completed what was planned. For the tile work, we had to order the tile from a specialty store. When the tile was received, we called him and said that it had arrived and that he could begin working. We did not hear back from him. After repeated calls and messages, he has been completely unresponsive.
Description of Work: He installed a new outlet for our laundry nook. He also sanded a wall around our sink so that new tile could be installed. We also had several painting projects and repairs needed due to water damage. He took pictures of our roof and the damaged areas that we needed repaired. He even emailed the photos to us. He checked everything and gave an estimate for the work that was to be done. He has yet to complete any of that work.

 + -1 moreWe cannot warn people enough. Stay away from "American Handyman" Jeff Rarick. He will take your money and leave you without notice. He is the worst form of person. You trust him, and then he steals from you without a care or concern that it was your hard earned money he took. He doesn't care that you have children- we have 4, he only wants to take the money you work for and then he'll never be reachable again.
Description of Work: We have hired Jeff Rarick from American Handyman on two other occasions BEWARE Third time was not the charm. After letting him into our vacation home with door codes and trusting him as he worked around our family he then completely burned us. He promised a job would be completed by our deadline for an investment property we were listing with a real estate agent, but he did nothing more than arrive, begin taping a wall for paint and then he fled. He stole an over the oven mounted microwave and cashed our check for $2000. He would not return calls or any attempt to be reached. Jeff Rarick is a freeloader who lives in a rent free apartment, he does odd jobs to cover rent, which I'm sure doesn't equate to the cost of rent. The business name "American Handyman" is not even his to claim, it belongs to another professional, which is why you will be asked to make a check out to Jeff personally.

 + 2 moreHe was recommended by the realtor that sold us this house. We will continue to use him.
Description of Work: We are using American Handyman to do a bunch of things like installing wood floors. He has completed the full installation of a back sliding door. He had to cut a hole in the wall and install it from the very beginning. He did that work in a couple of days.
