+ -1 moreClark was friendly and arrived on time in the quote process. He was the same price as another builder and we decided to go with him because he could start the project a week sooner. Even though we had a few issues with weather and a tree removal, he was good with communication. His contractors were professional and did a good job. He even dropped off the cedar shake siding early to allow us to paint it before the install. Our punch list at the end was small (only needed a little gravel for the driveway/alley intersection) leading to a very painless conclusion to a large project. The garage is well built and we are very happy with the end result.
Description of Work: Demolish existing garage and build new 2.5 car cinder block garage.

+ -1 moreThis was a painless process. Clark was in constant communication with us at each step. Quality was never sacrificed for speed. We highly recommend CMC Construction and Clark Mayo (owner) if you are considering a garage. You should at least have Clark come out and give you a quote.
Description of Work: CMC built a two-car garage (20 by 22 feet). We are very pleased with the garage and the entire process. We started the project rather late in the year but Clark and his team were excellent in their ability to work around the weather. An old 1 car garage was removed (very quickly and no mess was left behind). The foundation went in quickly but the cement pouring was delayed by cold weather. We were so impressed that Clark and his team did not rush the job, but took it step by step very methodically as the weather conditions allowed. The price is slightly higher than one might expect for a 2-car wooden garage but this is because we opted to put on treated wood siding (to be painted later) rather than aluminum siding, we opted for a more decorative garage door, and we had some additional wood trim added. We also added 2 feet to the garage for additional storage.

+ -1 moreCMC BUILDERS IS GREAT BECAUSE CLARK IS ALWAYS ACCESSIBLE, I NEVER HAD A HARD TIME GETTING A HOLD OF HIM WHEN I HAD QUESTIONS OR I WANTED SOMETHING DONE. WORK WAS DONE VERY QUICKLY, AND WHEN SAID IT WAS GOING TO BE DONE. CLARK WAS ALSO THE ONLY ONE THAT I WAS ABLE TO GET TO COME TO MY HOUSE FOR AN ESTIMATE ON THE FIRST APPOINTMENT. OTHER GARAGE BUILDERS EITHER DID NOT COME OUT AND GAVE ME A GENERIC QUOTE, OR MISSED THEIR APPOINTMENTS. THE PRICE I THOUGHT WAS REASONABLE IN COMPARISON TO THE OTHER QUOTES I HAD. CLARK MAY SEEM VERY ABRUPT BUT HE IS ALL BUSINESS.
Description of Work: HAD 80 YEAR OLD GARAGE TORN DOWN AND REMOVED, HAD A 1 1/2 CAR GARAGE (16FT WIDE) PUT IN. THE GARAGE IS A FRAME GARAGE WITH SIDING AND SHINGLES, IT HAS A SIDE ACCESS DOOR AND A WINDOW. FROM TEAR DOWN TO COMPLETION IT TOOK ABOUT A MONTH, AND THAT IT ONLY TOOK THAT LONG BECAUSE OF DAMP WEATHER EARLY IN JULY, AND LATER EXCESSIVELY HOT WEATHER IN EARLY AUGUST.
