Pella Windows and Doors

I should have met with different vendors, but I really liked the Pella salesperson and he seemed very nice and trustworthy. I had a price in my head and the price he quoted came in lower than that. It was during the Fifth Third Bank home show so the discounts were included even though we didn't attend the show. The quality of the windows is pretty darn good. They really did make quite a different in muffling the sound from the busy road we live on. They eliminated all the draft from the colder than usual winter we had this past year. My only issue was the installation. Sure, we encountered a rain delay, which I can't do much with, but there were nails left in the backyard and some empty tape roles. Just not a great clean-up effort, but not horrible either. My other concern is that it is a year later and we're still receiving offers to buy their windows when we already did the whole house except for the patio door. It's like they forgot that I already purchased from them.

It worked out okay. They seemed to be pretty reputable and they did a good job. My wife liked it. They cleaned up after themselves, they didn't leave a mess and they did excellent. Their price were pretty high and they weren't cheap. Their price was reasonable and they were in line with most window companies. We got estimates and they were all about the same. Their price was okay. They seemed to be pretty good windows and I haven't had any problems with it. They were very responsiveness, they took care of all our concerns and helped us with a couple of other things as well. They were right on time and they did it efficiently.

I had all my windows open during 70 degree spring weather yesterday. The temp was forecast to drop into the teens tonight and when I went to close windows last night one of my Pellas wouldn't close the final inch. I called this morning not even knowing if I had any warranty on the window (I just bought the house a couple of months ago) I was on hold for 25 minutes until I could talk to someone, but when I did she checked warranties from the previous owner ( still a year left on ten years for parts) and got someone out here in less than a half hour. He replaced a broken part and fixed the window in minutes. All of this happened in not much more than an hour! Since the temp is dropping and it is pouring down rain I am especially appreciative of the promptness.

Pella replaced one of my rotted windows for free under the warranty. The service was great and prompt. I will have some more work done soon and will call them as well.

New exterior door installed and trim applied for finishing. |My husband ws not pleased with their carpentry work, but one |call was all it took for them to send another man here and have |work corrected. This company is the best in our opinion and all |products are the best.

We contracted with Pella on April 5th, 2013, for a late-May installation of a sliding glass door and a screen door. Initial installation yielded a screen door that was the wrong color.Additionally, around the outer frame on the inside of the house, the job was not finished. Several gouges were not re-finished and repainted and nail holes from reattaching the interior trim needed repair. Not to mention, along with regularly spitting what I believe to be chewing tobacco saliva in our newly-mulched flower garden, the installer?s helper was rude to us (our perception). They fixed most of the rough areas but did not replace the door that was the wrong color. As well, Pella knew we had a security system but failed to let us know (we should have called our provider) that the system would need to be disconnected,and that there would be a significant reconnection charge. An employee was finally sent out a month later. He patched the rough spots Pella originally left us with, but we still needed a replacement screen door. As well the nail holes were not repaired. We could not get Pella to respond to calls so we called the salesperson who put us in touch with a supervisor. The salesperson called the project manager to get things going again after a lot of static from the salesperson. On June 22nd, Pella sent out the installer who, upon arrival, notified us that he had the wrong truck. He left his tools in his other truck. He repaired what he could then left. We were told Pella would contact us when the correct screen door arrived. Turns out, Pella had not ordered that screen door and had never scheduled for our screen door to be replaced. So we called the salesperson again. She said she escalated our problems to the project manager. He was zero help. So she escalated again to a supervisor. That got the project manager going. The project manager was forced to schedule the completion of the job. Finally, the installer installed the correct color screen door on August 8th (keep in mind we contracted in April). But alas, the door looked like it had been dropped on a hard surface. Several scratches were apparent on both the internal-facing and external-facing sides. So we immediately called Pella and asked for a replacement. No response. We contacted the salesperson again with slight hopes of success. She said she kicked our issue ?up to headquarters.? It has been 6 weeks since she forwarded our problem to headquarters. We still await Pella but our hopes of getting what we paid for in advance are slight.

Salesman was knowledgeable and professional. Did not oversell. It's been a while so I don't remember the details. My husband was in remodeling for a while and has always been impressed with the quality of Pella products

It was very good. They put out a good product. I would recommend them to others. They were no issues with the job.

The salesman was very polite and knowledgeable. He was able to place an order right away and set a date for the installation, around three weeks later. On the installation date, the installer called 3o minutes in advance. He arrived right on time and went right to work. The installer was very pleasant to deal with, professional in appearance, and skilled at his work. He had apparently worked at the company for some years so knew the product quite well. After installation, he took time to explain what he had done. Again, everyone was very easy to deal with. I would definitely use Pella again for any future window purchases. By the way, the salesman is in a leadership position with the Cincinnati Homebuilders' Association, which indicates the caliber of person they have at the business. I would encourage everyone to use this company.

I have not heard from them. It has been 2 months since I last heard from them. I have called them many times and they never returned my call. They have good products it is just a communication problem.

It turned out good. The product is very good and it was a painless install. It took a while to make the windows. They do use sub-contractors to install the products.

They did an excellent job and I was very pleased. The left no mess and cleaned up after themselves. I have experienced no problems since. The showed up on time and did what they said they were going to do. They cleaned up every speck of dirt. They also painted the trim. They took care of every single detail. I was very pleased with the price and we didn’t even bother shopping around. We will definitely use them again.

It turned out good. Mark also came out to do all the finishing work to do touch-ups after the windows were in. He was great to work with and is a really nice guy. Small issues that arose were taken care of right away. They also matched all the paint to match the existing woodwork and doors.

I had several windows with broken seals. There was constant condensation between the window panes. Also, a good amount of the wood framing was rotted. I called Pella and they said they would remove the windows and repair the wood rot damage. When the installer arrived, it turned out that they hired a contractor. As he was installing the windows, I would periodically inspect his work. I could tell that he was rushing the job and not properly installing the windows. When he screwed the window frame into the opening in the wall, he over tightened the screw. This left a gap between the window and the window frame. I asked him to go back and properly tighten the screws so there was no gap. When he installed the window sill, it was not done at the proper angle. If he had left it the way it was, water would have pooled on the window sill and penetrated the walls. If I didn't know something about carpentry, we would have been in trouble. Anyway, the last part of the job was to install the aluminum cladding around the window. He was about to leave without doing it at all. He installed it... poorly. Within a week, it started to pull away from the house. Also, a large crack appeared in one of the windows. I called Pella and they sent a rep to look at the aluminum cladding and the cracked window. He noted the gap and said that the crack was caused by a weakness in the window. After a couple of weeks, a service man came out and replaced the cracked window. They did nothing about the gap in the aluminum cladding. I had to call them back to come and fix it. By the time they came back, the gap was noticeably larger. They came out and fixed the aluminum cladding. That's when I found out that the installer they hired to install my windows was let go because of shoddy work. I did not like that they were aware of the installers poor quality of work but did nothing to fix it. They eventually did, but only after I became very assertive. Their customer service was terrible. I wouldn't have mattered that we paid for the best windows they sell when they are poorly installed. Not only would we have had to deal with brand new drafty windows, but the likely water damage from the gaps in the aluminum cladding.

They stood me up after waiting all day for a phone call to say they were on their way. Now, it will be until 7/29/13 before they can return! We have over 1/3 of our windows that need to be replaced (warranty ran out 1/13) and they can't even make time to get the quote right! By the way there are multiple class action lawsuits against Pella Windows! DO NOT BUY these WINDOWS!!!!!

We went to Pella Windows And Door Showroom - Montgomery last fall. We were charged $100 per opening for the lead, they technically did not do lead abatement. For the lead treatment what they did do. We had six openings so it was $600. The experience was mediocre. Other Angie members need to know what the details of how they are going to do the work that they are going to do.

I had a big problem with them with the billing. Nobody pays for installation under it has been done. I wanted the installation was never done and i had to get with them to get my money back alls I wanted was the windows as they were special order windows. Two of the basement windows were measured incorrectly. So now I have to wait another 6 months for them to wait for them to order them again so instead I told them just to cut like they originally said and put them in. The back windows for the back of the house were ordered and they put the charge through right away without me telling them to go ahead. So on the second order I did not want them to do the installation of them I just wanted the windows. It was a horrible experience.

It seemed like the salesman wasn't doing the job. He wasn't communicating with me for getting the door. He wasn't answering any of my calls. He never answered any of my messages. It seemed like they just didn't have their act together. They eventually put the door up for us. A different salesman did. They even called to follow up with the door installation and apologized for my previous experience.

Company rep came to give us a quote on three windows. He showed up right on time. We had used Pella in the past and were happy with the product. Rep showed us windows and said he would have the quote to us later that afternoon or by the next morning at the laters. We received nothing. About 5 days later we emailed. We received no response. About two weeks after that, we called. Still no response. I have to say I have NEVER been more disappointed in a company. And this guy was supposedly the owner's brother. Oh brother for sure!

They quoted us about $25000.00 for the job. We weren't thrilled with the rep. He didn't have any real product to show us and they basically just told us we were going to pay for the name. We found out it was really not that good of a name. We decided not to go with them basically because of the cost of the product, especially when you feel like you can get the same quality product for much cheaper.

They were prompt in coming out. They came out when they said they would. I had an issue with some materials they had used, and it ended up costing me a lot of time. They used an incorrect caulk and they had to come out and try to remove it. It was a near to impossible job. I would definitely use the same type of windows in the future, but I don't know if I would use the same provider.

I went there and they showed me what they had, I was able to discuss it at home, and went back the next morning to order what I wanted. The door is beautiful and what I wanted. There were a few minor issues, but they were very responsive in correcting them. They didn't leave until everything was perfect. Came on time, very friendly and just top-notch workmen. It was just a perfect experience! I was very please with the end result.

They did a good job, but they took a while to finish the job. Also they had to repair one of the doors they put in, but in the end they did a good job. WHen they first did the windows we chose them because they did a good job with the color and the wood quality. All of the accessories that they offered were great. For the door work, we liked the wood that they used for them and the glass in the doors.

The work was done for a whole room. Some of the windows were custom windows and it was expensive. They did a good job of designing. I wasn?t sure of what I wanted. So they recommended and it worked out well. While I had some issues, they responded to each one to my satisfaction. There were some issues, but they did take care of everything that I had questions about.

We were very satisfied with the sales, the installation and the follow up. Sales rep arrived on time, responded promptly to calls and installation scheduling process was uneventful. Installers arrived on time , completed the work as expected and cleaned up to our satisfaction. They also installed, at no additional cost, a door knocker that we purchased separately from another source.We had to reschedule 24 hours before the install date due a family situation. We expected a long delay but Pella were able to reschedule for the following week. We are very pleased with the quality and the elegant look of the door and decorative glass.
