Description of Work: Very disappointed that they never contacted me. No reason to complete the rest. My husband and I did the work with no help.

Roe's has a very competent crew. They work fast, professionally, and take great care in protecting your property and cleaning up after their work is done. I obtained several estimates and found Roe's to be very reasonably priced in comparison. Gary Roe runs a very honest business and takes pride in the work done. I would highly recommend him. This is the second time I used this company.
Description of Work: Removal of multiple large trees.

He is really reasonable. It is a small family business-father and son. They don't have big fancy equipment but they get the job done. You aren't paying for brand new trucks. You are paying for guys to come in with older trucks that do the work. In the long run if you have company coming in with brand new trucks, you are paying for the brand new truck.
Description of Work: I took him to a bid. I was going to use him as a sub on a contract and he gave me a $4000 price to take down 25, 75 foot pine trees and he was going to chip them all up. I hauled the chips and stumps off. He never got the job because the daycare never got the grant they needed.

This is the second job that we've had Gary perform in the last five years. Prior to that we had difficulty finding a tree service that -- at a reasonable price -- could provide the exact services that we required, or that could clean up the site promptly. We requested a quote in August and specified that we weren't in a particular hurry, just that the work needed to be complete in the fall. It did take a few months for him to schedule us, which is the only real issue we had this time. The explanation given was that poor weather conditions caused delays in getting previously-scheduled work done, and he did apologize. I had to call a couple of times after the initially-estimated date had passed to find out when we were scheduled. As we requested, he called the day prior to starting the job, and we reviewed exactly the tasks to be performed. He and his crew of three showed up the next morning as expected, at sometime after 8am. Nobody was at our house when the work was performed (this time) since we had reasonable confidence that the work would be done as requested. Prior to starting, he did call me to let me know that the ground was soft, and that we should expect some amount of damage due to the equipment. He also mentioned that they would have to remove a small Mulberry tree that had sprouted in order to get to the Ash. Both issues were reasonable, and I appreciated that he called to discuss them rather than just blasting through the work as prior contractors have done to us. When I returned home at about 5:30pm, the equipment and crew was gone. The neighbors reported that the crew was very professional. I took a look at the work performed and found that it had been done exactly according to our requirements. There were some chips left and the stump hole had not been filled in, but this was expected since he had told us on the previous job that they don't perform landscaping repair after the tree work is done. There was some damage to the lawn as expected, but it was fairly minimal. We received the bill about two days later, and it was in line with (if not identical to) the quote we had received in the summer. I was very pleased at how the trimming of the Maple tree was performed; the right selection of limbs was removed from the entire canopy and it looked "right" afterwards.
Description of Work: One dead Ash tree removed (including stump grinding), and trimming of 75 year old Maple.
