They installed propane tanks in 2008 and we discontinued their service Nov 2012
Description of Work: They provided propane gas to my Daughter and Grandchildren. They didn't check on the levels in the tanks we ran out in the winter--they charged a $100 for emergency service--they accounting department of this business was always behind--never knew how much you owed them--did not send out bills. When I decided to change suppliers they told me I would have to pay them $250 for them to pick up their tanks. These people were never on time when you called alot of time you got the national office not the local dealer--very poor service!

I replied that I would pay the bill if they mailed faxed me a copy of the bill. The rep stated the bill would go out that day, 12/29. 5) 5 days after requesting the bill, 1/6, I still had yet to receive one. I called again and asked for the bill and was told the bill had been sent in the mail. 2 days later, 1/8, I received a FEDEX pkg with a computer generated spreadsheet and a number circled. The bill did not go out as stated nor was a bill actually sent. At this point, the level of propane in my tank was low. Given the inability of Amerigas to provide a bill, at least by industry norms, I was forced to switch companies or risk running out of heat in the middle of the winter. I am requesting that Amerigas immediately pick-up the propane tank and close-out my account. I am more than happy to pay for exactly what propane I consumed but only after their tank is picked up from my home, at their expense, and after I am credited for the unused propane at full price.
Description of Work: Propane services. The following are the issues I have experienced with Amerigas starting with the purchase of our home in Sept. 06: 1) Upon transferring the service, we were bounced between 2 different service stations franchises resulting in 2 credit checks. 2) Upon requesting fill-up after our safety check, the service station refused citing that no safety check had been conducted. It wasn't until I intervened a day later with the exact name of the inspector and date of the inspection that the service station finally recanted and scheduled the service. 3) After our initial fill-up I received 2 bills, with 2 different account #'s and 2 different bill amounts. After 3 different phone calls, no one was able to resolve the issue which resulted in my paying the lesser amount of the two. 4) After 2 months of no bills, I called for a refill. There was a balance due on the account and was notified that they could not schedule the service until I paid the bill.
