L B Adams Lawn Mower Repairs

If I could give them zero stars that is what they deserve. I guess the one star is good for the free pickup and return. My riding lawn mower would start and then shut down after running about 4 minutes. LB people said that they were going to rebuild the carburetor that would fix the issue. After having the mower for about 3 weeks, they dropped it off and left before I could even start it up. After turning it on, the motor shut down in less than 5 minutes. They didn't fix a thing! It is still doing the same thing that I called them about. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

Just needed a tune up on commercial grade zero turn. Brought there almost 2 months ago. Took a Month for them to get to it. When they did they said motor was shot needed a rebuild, price they quoted was outrageous, so we would pick it up. Called almost every day for last 3 weeks no answer or they were camping. Finally get our mower back today and won't start, started and ran great when we dropped off just a lil slower than it should be. That's why we needed tune up. Also hydros are squeeling horribly which never had that issue. To top it all off we power washed the mower so it was clean and easily accessible to the parts, we pick up gas is empty out of both tanks and body and blades are caked with dried up wet grass. Do not use this company, I really wish we woulda seen reviews before using. Never again!!!!

Owner was rude. Overcharged for sharpening. Delivered mower and left outside in pouring rain--wouldnt start AVOID THIS COMPANY

Great. Picked it up, fixed it up and it runs great. There was a problem shortly after they brought it back. I called, they came. It was mice in the wiring. No charge. Lisa was great.

They picked up my mower, which I told them that a gasket needed replaced. They said the engine bolts were loose and they tightened them and returned the mower. The mower leaked more than it did prior. I called and told them, which they were quick to get back out and this time said they sprayed some sealant on the leak. This time the leak was reduced, but the engine was still leaking/smoking. After a 2nd chance I didn't even call for a third

We had a 48 hour turn around with our tractor from the time they picked up the tractor to return. This company is amazing and very professional and absolutely I will hire this company again. The tractor runs and cuts great

LB Adams was great every step of the way, from making the appointment to. Otifhong me of the drop off. They had it back to me within a week, which I thought was fantastic! I started it up and it ran great, for about five minutes, then sputtered a bit, then died. Started it back up, ran for two minutes, and died. It continued this so I called back and they offered to take another look at it. They even came a third time when I forgot to leave my mower out for them! It turns out my mower had issues with the type of gas (ethanol amounts), because after buying gas elsewhere, it ran just fine. But LB Adams was very professional throughout the entire experience, and helped until the problem was solved.

My mower did not work at all, would not even start when they brought it back. I had to keep calling because they never told me it was ready. They were rude and condescending when I called to tell them it wasn't working. They tried to tell me it was my fault.

WOW. Pick up and delivery to the door. Who would have thought it in this day and age. Total tune up and clean up of my Toro walk behind mover. Had to repair the carb. It runs better than new. I'm impressed. Great service department. Lisa did the pick up and delivery. Just to mention that "they do not take plastic". Cash or check.

We used them last spring and again this spring, both times they were professional. Came picked up lawnmower, fixed and returned to our house within a week. Would recommend as a trustworthy, quality repair.

In April 2014, I wanted to ensure they had plenty of time to service my snowblower before the next winter. They were very courteous when they came to get my snowblower. I can't remember the timeframe that they had it, but it didn't really matter as I had plenty of time before winter. When I went to use it for the first time, the chute control wasn't working so I had to call them to ask for that part to be serviced. They tried to repair it at the house, but were unable to do so. Unfortunately, they had to take it with them during one of the biggest snow storms of the year. When I got it back again, it just wasn't running right. It would backfire and run as if the carburetor needed cleaned. It wouldn't maintain and even flow of the motor - it was always and up and down - no matter how much you adjust the choke, it still wouldn't run right. I know they were out to the house at least twice after the service. I don't remember all of the details because I just assumed all would be good and there was no reason to "take notes" on the experience. When I called them today to let them know how frustrated I was with the service. Giving them the opportunity to make things right, I was told, "We can't please everyone." and "I will take what you said in to consideration." Then I was hung up on. Not only did I receive bad repair service for my $125, I received bad customer service when I gave them the opportunity to make things right.

Very pleased with the service and repairs to the mower... All works very well.

I have to give them 5 stars! They took the mower up on Friday and brought it back Monday. They didn't charge me for the pick up, and they got everything updated and fixed very well. I haven't had any problems.

This is the second year I used them for my riding mower. Last year I found them on Angies list and decided to give them a try. Needless to say, based on their quality of work, I was a repeat customer this year. They come and get the mower when they say they will and return it when they say they will. Everything was done...tune-up, oil change etc. The mower was returned looking almost brand new! Very clean and shiney. I will use them again come the fall when it will be the snowblower's turn to get serviced. I highly recommend them!

They provided pick up and delivery - did a great job.

They come and pick up my mower while I'm at work. They let me know an approximate cost and what repairs were needed promptly. They return my mower again while I'm at work. I didn't have to try to catch them open when I finish working. They are always professional and courteous.

We were very disappointed. The experience started fine. We called and they made arrangements to come out the next day and pick the mower up. They told us that it would be ready in a week at a cost of $79.00. About 10 days went by and we called to find out the repair status. After leaving several messages we got a hold of someone and they told us they had to order parts and we would have it in a few days. Another week goes by and we still not heard from them. They never called with any cost of repair increase as well due to the additional parts. We finally got a hold of them again and they said they were waiting on a wheel to come in and now the repair price was going to be $145.00. We decided to go ahead since it had been almost three weeks in the middle of the summer without our mower. It took them another three days to return it.

We really appreciated that this company offers free pick up and delivery, and this is included in the cost, which is reasonable. However, we found that the communication was mediocre and the time it took to have our item delivered back to us was too long. We were delayed twice, and the second time was because someone forgot to load our mower onto the truck to make deliveries. I know that everyone makes mistakes, but I had to take the initiative to call in order to learn about these delays. Had I not called and checked in repeatedly, we would have just had no mower for two weeks and not known why. Their original estimate was within a week, so our lawn really needed mowing by the time it was returned. I would use this company again because I have no idea who else performs these services locally and because hte price is reasonable.

The owner was very polite and courteous on the phone. However, the snow blower I was going to have inspected and repaired was an old model amd I found it more sensible to just invest in a new snow blower, as I assumed the cost to repair the old model probably would have been $100+. So I decided to just start fresh, but based on my phone conversation I feel this comapny and owner is reliable and I would not hesitiate to call him in the future for any other type of repair work, be it snowblower, ;lawn mower, etc. Thank You.

He explained what was wrong. He didn't charge me a lot because it was a simple problem. Didn't try to scam me. He was a nice guy. Did great work, and was very up front with me.

I called on 1/7/13 to have a non working generator repaired. They told me on the phone what the cost would be, picked it up the same day, repaired it, and delivered it on 1/17/13. Nice people that I would definitely call again if needed. Appreciated that pick up and delivery was included in the price.
