The neighbors property looked mostly fine which was where the work was contracted but when damage got reported the owner(of the tree company) was more worried about litigation then fixing the actual damage his company caused. My uncle gave permission for his driveway to be used and not informed of potential damage. This company DOES NOT do their due diligence when it comes to getting the proper paperwork signed. We wanted one small area fixed but the G in GP Tree Services "has been doing this for 42 years and doesn't care about a bad review."

Gary's crew was exceptional and very professional!! They cut up and removed this 60 foot tall tree in about an hour and a half and came back the next day to remove the brush. It was very impressive to watch them work. Great job guys and thank you!!!

First class operation from top down. Had two trees removed, stumps ground, wood removed. Went above and beyond what they had to do as I had a small prob. that they weren't required to fix but they did. Friendly staff from Gary, to the office person, to the ground crew. They were prompt on their arrival times and did a thorough job.

These guys were great. I think they had the tree removed in 15 minutes. They used a crane in a way I have not seen before.

It took some time for the work to be scheduled but once agreed upon the work was done as scheduled and cleaned up after.

After several calls and them telling me they would be out, they never showed to remove trees. They did show one day, opened the fence to get to the backyard tree, and them left without doing anything, including not closing the fence which allowed the dogs to get out.

I would never recommend this company. I contracted with them in September and was told it would be 3-4 weeks.NOTHING, not even a phone call. I called the week before Thanksgiving to inquire since it was well past their timeline. The owner, Gary, called me back and told me he would be here the week after Thanksgiving (all while referring to me as "honey"). It's now December 15th - the tree is still here and I haven't gotten another call and it's 3 months past when I contracted with them. I finally called and told them don't bother. Bad business - if they didn't want my small job, they should have just said so. Very unhappy.

They were very friendly and knowledgeable about the trees and what it would take to remove them, and provided a very detailed estimate in the proposal. The promptness and thoroughness of the estimation process and explanations provided, I thought deserved some positive recognition. Good job!

Dealing with this company was great! From our first phone call to request an estimate, through the completion of the job, GP Tree exceeded our expectations. I called the last week of October for an estimate on having two large maple trees removed and the work was done before Thanksgiving. All my calls were returned promptly; all my questions were answered politely and completely; the price was very fair; they did everything from paperwork through the actual tree work when and how they said they would and the property looked great after they were finished. The tree in front yard had grown into the overhead electrical wires and there were also a lot of branches against the house and roof but the crew did a great job removing the tree without damaging anything. The tree in the back yard was very tall but it's a small city lot with a chain link fence and a garage blocking access to get a large bucket truck into the back yard so the crew had to climb the tree to take it down branch by branch. They removed both trees, hauled away all the wood and debris, ground both stumps and took the grindings away within a few hours. We will recommend them to anyone who asks.

These guys were very prompt. The worked efficiently and they cleaned up their mess and did a very nice job of it.

Not well. The trees are a mess. They are misshapen and look terrible. I have had my trees trimmed on 3 other occasions and never had a problem. When they came out to look at the work, they left me with another proposal at the cost of their initial work to fix the issue. I am tremendously disappointed. They said that they want to make me happy, but they are unwilling to do anything about it. I can't believe they can be pleased with their work. I would like to see them put pictures of the job up on their website and see if they can get any future business trimming trees. Maybe their expertise is only in removing dead trees. I would never use their services again!

We have contracted with Gary and GP Tree for over 10 years now; and we've NEVER been disappointed with their service, price and quality of work. Today was no exception. It has been wet here...........................and the ground is soft. Gary and his crew laid plywood and HEAVY rubber matting to protect our yard.........................and given the softness of the soil and the weight of his equipment, I was amazed at how well our yard was protected!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Our sunburst honey locust tree spreads over our hot tub/spa and Gary's crew ensured that NOTHING fell onto the spa cover....................................and to trim the branches that were over our garage roof, one of the crew trimmed from on our WET roof...................................which made me nervous because I fell off of the same roof over 2 years ago and fractured 2 vertabrae in my lower spine. All of the work was completed in less than 4 hours...............................and when all of the work was done, our yard was as clean and neat as it was before Gary and his crew started to work. We have a landscaper coming in to put in a new lawn in and around the areas where the trees and stumps were removed; and GP Tree certainly provided the landscaper's crew with a excellent environment for them to begin their work. I know that Gary is a certified arborist..................................and I belileve that his "tree climbers"/trimmers/thinners are certified as well....................................and the quality of their work reflect that certification. The BEST thing about a GP TREE tree thinning/shaping is that when the tree leafs out, it looks FULL and PERFECT...................................yet in times of high winds, the trees barely do more than "sway a little". Our trees are also healthier than they have ever been!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We have GP Tree thin and shape our trees about every 3 years............................or at least we try to do it on that time table.................................and we could not be happier with our service and continued business relationship with Gary Peterson, his crew and GP Tree. If I've learned one thing in my 62 years, it's that you get what you pay for! GP Tree gives me at least 100 Ab'ram Lincoln "coppers" and 1 silver FDR of value for every folded "George Washington" that I spend. Angie's List doesn't have an A++ grade; but if they did, that is what I would give GP Tree. For my money, there is simply NO better tree service than GP Tree!!!!! Good value is "getting your money's worth" AND getting QUALITY work.......................................GP Tree is GOOD VALUE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm aware that there are companies that will do the same job for less money; but I've also seen their work...............................................and that's why I unconditionally recommend GP Tree!

They made a special emergency effort to come out and take care of the trees.

Perfect. Best price around. Used crane and bucket truck to take tree down. Left large pieces for firewood. Chipped and hauled away brush. Ground out the stump. Price includes a $50 off coupon from Angies List.

They showed up about a month after we contacted them. The work was done when we were not home. I would have never known they had been at the house if the one tree hadn't been removed. I called the following day to voice my concerns about the biggest tree. It truly looked like it hadn't been touched. I wanted them to come back out and redo it. Unfortuntately, I let Gary talk me out of it. This spring, when the tree's leaves returned, it was a bushy mess. There were random branches sticking out of the sides and the top. It was as wide and dense as ever. We called again and this time Gary was less then amiable about fixing anything. He was absolutely unprofessional while talking with my husband. During all conversations prior to the work being done, Gary conducted himself in a friendly and professional manner. He is a smooth talker. Don't trust him. Based on the "work" that was completed by them and the unprofessional way he dealt with our concerns, I do not believe he is an honest businessman.

Very fair price, friendly service, excellent quality. Gary and his team are great. The thing you realize quickly, after they arrive on-site, is that these guys really know what they are doing. They are masters at their trade, and it shows. I would highly recommend GP Tree to anyone needing tree service.

Good size crew so took them less time than I expected. They were considerate of my requests and completed what I asked. I would use them again.

GP Service was one of four companies we contacted to have seven trees in our backyard trimmed, balanced, and lifted. Gary of GP Trees was one of two to respond to our calls. He came out to assess the job and was very informative, professional and pleasant. His attitude and fair price won him the work. His team of five showed up at 8am on a very cold November day and got right to work. They trimmed and shaped two apple trees that had been neglected for many years and a grouping of five mature oaks and maples. They climbed into and up the trees and cut out all the extraneous branches and really opened up the trees. They cut away the low-hanging branches and were very careful to shape the trees as well. The apple trees were really cut back, to foster better fruit production. The team was very careful to clean up all the debris and did all the chipping out front near the road so there wasn't any mess in the backyard. We had asked for the larger pieces of apple wood to remain, and they cut it all into logs, even though we had not asked. Really appreciated that. They spent about four hours cutting, climbing and cleaning up and when they were finished, the backyard had been transformed. We can't wait to have the other tree groupings done. Gary and his tree professionals are very skilled and professional. Top notch.

They cut two trees down on my property. They did a nice job. I wish they would have cut one of the trees down farther.

They were professional from the initial meeting to review the work and provide an estimate through cutting down the trees, removing surface roots, and grinding the stumps. In our initial meeting they were knowledgeable in assessing the problems with the two trees. After discussing the work we agreed to have done, they provided a reasonable estimate. They called a day or two before the removal to give the date and time they would arrive. They were on time, with the right equipment and enough workers to do the job. They finished in the middle of the day, when they said they would.
