Description of Work: Installed 4 glass-block windows with vents in the basement. Terry and son did installation; I thought his initial presentation was detailed, thorough, and he presented as if he wanted my business. |I had called two other glass-block installers, one of them wanted me to measure and he would estimate on that. I didn't care for the fact that the other installer didn't think it was important to get proper measurements or sell me on his work. |I like the look of the glass block windows, installation seemed to go fine and he delivered what he promised. Overall a very good job; I would definitely recommend.

+ 0 moreTerry Savatt, the owner of the company, came out to give me an estimate. He answered all my questions to my satisfaction. He told me of the locations of other houses in my area where he had also installed glass block. He showed me examples of his product line; I appreciate that he only uses good quality American-made materials. He does not use outside contractors; Terry and his son do all the work. On the date of our appointment, they arrived promptly and got straight to work. They were fast and efficient. At one point, Terry suggested a change to the plan, namely placing a vent at a different window. He explained to me why the change was necessary, and I agreed. The finished work was beautiful. He explained to me how the vents work,and the best method for cleaning the windows. He offers a ten-year warranty on all his work and said that I could call if there were any problems. They cleaned up afterward and took the old windows away for disposal.

+ -1 moreThe owner came out to give the estimate. He was very knowledgeable and shared different options and had his field foreman come out to ensure that this application would work. The work was completed as promised. Very pleased with the final product!
Description of Work: Removed old second-story window that was in a shower area and replaced it with a ventilated glass block window.

+ 0 moreTerry came out and gave the estimate. He was very knowledgeable, friendly and professional. He has many years experience and this is his own company. His son helps him install. They are a great team. He showed me samples and options for glass type. I always get at least 3 estimates. I chose Terry because he came across as sincere and customer focused. Work was carried out without issues and they cleaned up after themselves. Would definitely recommend them to a friend.

Description of Work: I met the owner of Glass Block Security at the Randolph Fair in August 2012 at his display booth in the Merchant's Building. He seemed knowledgeable about the product and had a competitive price, so I told him that I was interested in having 2 glass block windows installed. He came out one day and measured the openings to make sure there would not be a problem when he installed the windows. We set up an installation date for about a week later. He came out with his son (in his twenties) at the appointed time and made the installation in about an hour. During installation, I found that Terry definitely understood the product and the glass block business. I would certainly call him back if I ever had a need for another glass block window installation. This review is being written about 4 months after the install. It's now winter and the windows are tight. They will likely last as long as the house. I have no complaints whatsoever and would have done nothing different if I had this to do again.
