Davy Painting

Mr. Brewer came out to do the estimate. He is an experienced professional and straightforward and friendly. He helped me think through options. He told me that whatever company I chose, I should not pay any deposit up front. He told me that Davy is a family-owned company and one of their goals is to have the client feel comfortable with workers in the yard. I requested a certain time frame and he scheduled me exactly when it was convenient. Mr. Brewer even went as far as giving me his home phone number and told me to feel free to call up until 10:00 p.m. any day if I had questions or concerns. Two or three workers came for five consecutive days. They were careful with my plants. They were thorough with prep work, including filling holes and cracks in my stucco. Detail work, such as on my mailbox and front door, was well done. They were friendly and respectful and cleaned up when they were done. I was very pleased with their work and would highly recommend them to others.

They did a very good job, and I am very pleased with their work. They were very professional and courteous. They cleaned up after they were finished.

They did an excellent job. They showed up on time and did it the way I wanted them to do it. They cleaned up really well afterwards, moved the furniture and put everything back.

These guys were great. They were on time every day and did a very thorough job. The cost included gutters, windows, garage door, front door and wood playset. We will hire them for some interior painting this fall.

They were able to come out a couple days after I got in touch with them for an estimate. We had 3 other companies give estimates and Davy was the least by $400 or so and most impressive as far as personality goes. Roger was very clear that he wanted to do the job we were looking for and to not be invasive. My wife is a stay at home mom with two kids under 3 and she didn't have one problem. The end result is fantastic. There were a few things that we weren't happy about (colors) and fortunately they were able to correct our mistake before the job was done. They cleaned up and didn't overspray anything. I would recommend this company to anyone for exterior work.

They did a wonderful job. They had to do a few little extra repairs on the sofits. They were very nice and polite. The company that painted my home previously had done a lousy job, which made the prep work even more difficult. They had to bring out the heat gun. It now looks great.

Roger quoted this job in the spring of 2006 and due to several factors on our part we were not able to get the job scheduled until July of 2007. He held his quoted price and was able to get the work done within a week of calling him. The crews did great work even though they had to work around rain a few days.

I would not recommend this painter, regardless of the coupons included in the Angie's List booklet.

My call was answered promptly. Mr. Brewer arrived on time to provide an estimate. I hired this company because of Mr. Brewer. I have never had such an upfront, straight forward contractor to my home. He is not pushy, and very respectful. The entire process was extremely pleasant with Mr. Brewer. They started the job ahead of the projected time frame (which was fine with me). The men which did the painting were so nice to all of us. They regularly asked if things where to my satisfaction. They truly only wanted me to be happy. I have not found this with workers anywhere, in a long time. The painters are professional, and very neat. I am amazed at how thoroughly they caulked. The house looks great. I would hire Mr. Brewer again. This was a great experience from start to finish.

Returned our call promptly, showed up for estimate on time. Gave us several tips for getting an inclusive estimate for comparisons with other companies. Gave us a verbal price which was reasonable, but after several weeks, we still have not received a written bid. We have since decided to wait another year, and when we called to give this feedback, he returned the call and stated that the same price would still be in effect in a year.

I called Roger with Davy Painting (as well as a few other painters) in summer of 2006, to get an estimate on the trim paint of my house. I had no idea what was invovled or what it would cost. When he gave me the estimate ($2400 plus windows at $40 apiece), it was the middle of the 3 estimates I received, but I still had not budegeted for such a project. Roger spent a lot of time explaining the process and told me I could probably wait 1-2 years if I had to, but shoudln't wait longer than that, due to the poor condition of the wood. He also, told me he would honor the estimate, he gave me at that time. I called him in spring of 2007. He got me right on the schedule for Jim and his crew. The crew did a fantiastic job! They always cleaned up their work from the previous day. Jim kept me informed on a daily basis of what had been done and brought some minor home repair issues to my attention. They were courteous, professional, and great to work with. I would highly recommend them!!

They painted everything, the house trim gutters chimney, everything. They did a great job and had a reasonable price. It was nice to work with professionals, that care about a job well done. They took extra care to clean up each day and were prompt. Jim and his crew were very pleasant, they even washed my skylights while they were on my roof. We were very pleased with their work. Our home looks beautiful and we would highly recommend them to others.

Overall=Excellent. From the call for the estimate until completion, communications where timely. The crew was polite, courteous and professional. The paint was applied exactly where it needed to be and no where else.

The work was done on time and the painters were very friendly and cleaned up their mess everyday when finished. I highly recommend their services.

Roger Brewer made it very clear that he was available to address ANY of our questions and concerns. It was very apparent that he enjoyed what he does and appreciated our business. The foreman for the job (Shaun) was phenomenal had the same attention to detail as my wife (that is saying A LOT). The crew was quiet and respectful and responded to our requests quickly and efficiently. I was very impressed with their attention to detail in the preparation phase as well as the finishing stage. We got some cheaper quotes for the work but wanted a good job and I can honestly say that we got what we wanted. The house looks great, the yard was cleaned thoroughly, and I plan to use this company for all of our future painting needs.

We got four quotes for our exterior painting needs and Davy Painting was the second lowest. We chose to use Davy for the competitive price as well as their professionalism and friendly demeanor when squaring away the estimate and contract details. Their work turned out extremely well and we felt like we had a new house! We would recommend Davy Painting to anyone.

Jim arrived when we arranged, on time to give the estimate. It was clear, concise and detailed. When hired he always showed up on time, with a team of three men. They always cleaned up as they went and at the end of each day my home was returned to as much order as possible. They were all polite and helpful, even volunteering to do a little repair work on a broken cabinet front. When the basement floor color wasn't right they returned as quickly as possible to repaint it. I was very pleased with this group of painters. They were extremely professional.

Work was done in a timely manner and Jim Norris advised me it would not be economical or successful to do some areas, such as basement walls, or to apply a second coat since we weren't changing color (white). The work went fast because the house was empty, with all furniture removed. Davy was careful not to leave spatters on hardwood floors throughout the house.

Very well. Only one painter came two of the three days, but he was efficient.

All parts of job were done in a professional and timely manner. Communications and appointments were all on time and done well.

The experience was a positive one. Jim explained the entire process and was able to schedule the job with very little lead time. John and Shawn performed the work and were very professional and cautious. They cleaned up at the end of the first day and when they left on the second day the only way you could tell they had been there was because the job was finished. I plan to call them for future interior painting.

Overall, working with this company was a very positive experience. The company's head, Roger Brewer, and the men that did the actual painting were very responsive to the clients preferences and concerns. They were very professional and cleaned up thoroughly each day. Above all, the quality of the work was superior.

GENERALLY A GOOD EXPERIENCE DURING THE PAINTING, WORKERS WERE PROMPT AND PLEASANT. THE CLEANUP OF PAINT SCRAPED/WASHED OFF THE HOUSE COULD HAVE BEEN BETTER. LESS THAN A YEAR LATER, WE'RE ALREADY HAVING SOME NEW Peeling OF THE PAINT, SO THEY PROBABLY DIDN'T SCRAPE IT AS THOROUGHLY AS THEY SHOULD HAVE.

Very professional quotation, and good consulting from the provider with respect to the right paints to use, and the right application processes. They couldn't begin the job until the spring (they were booked through October for outside work). But offered to provide a very competitive quote for a project to start in the Spring of 2007. Although thier exterior quote was competitive, the combined quote for both exterior and interior painting was much higher than another supplier, and the other supplier who had good references with our neighbors could do the exterior painting in October 2006.
