They were very professional. They did exactly what they said they were going to do. I would hire them again and will hire them again. Outstanding service and quality work!

Jim helped us choose the paint that would be the most durable and would wear the best. Two years ago, we used this company to paint the exterior of our home and we liked them well enough to have them back to paint the interior. What really strikes me about them is that they really care about a job well done and they always maintain a high level of professionalism. My husband and I both felt like we were inviting friends into our home, as they are very friendly and extremely trustworthy.

Very professional, beautiful work. Definite attention to detail and quality. Was very helpful in color choice, and provided a detailed estimate and invoice. Very pleasent to work with.

I had an excellent experience. Jim Norris and Josh Graham were my painters. They were fantastic. They wanted to make sure I was satisfied. They kept me informed during the whole process and didn't hide anything. They are very skillful and did a wonderful job.

The experience went very well. They showed up on time and were very courteous to us. We were just very pleased with the estimate we received from this company and with the comments and reviews we found on Angie's List from others who had used them.

Excellent experience. Roger Brewer responded promptly to my request for an estimate. Not the cheapest estimate, but very competitive. Extremely professional crew came and worked for about three weeks on our house. Jim Norris and the other workers spend a great deal of time carefully scraping peeling paint from the original 1924 shingles. It took them much longer than expected, but there was no additional charge or renegotiation of the original contract. The house looks great now, and it is largely due to their prep work. The crew was courteous, respected our privacy, and cleaned up after the work was done. Jim and I walked several times around the house until I couldn't possibly find anything to complain about anymore. I recommend Davy Painting without any restriction - they did a marvelous job.

Our experience started with calling 3 top rated exterior painting companies from Angie's List. Roger Brewer from Davy Painting gave us an estimate in May 2008 as did representatives from Stauffer Painting and Buckeye House Painting. Mr. Brewer impressed me the most with his professionalism and experience. Plus his estimate came in the lowest. After several months of phone calls back and forth, we finally settled on a starting date in September. Mr. Brewer was very patient with my husband who had many concerns and questions during the time between the original estimate and the start of the project. Once started the project took 5 separate days of work not all full days. The workers were very skilled and did a very good job. We are extremely pleased with the final result. Our home looks brand new!

I was impressed that someone was out to look at my house the day after I inquired. I enjoyed learning about the company and I believe they would have done a good job. Price was the reason we did not go with Davy. The price was high compared with other estimates we received.

Davy Painting returned my call and said they're booked up until the weather prevents exterior painting. He said if we still need an estimate, to call early in the spring and he'll be more than happy to come out.

They are honest and a great company. They do good work and care about their reputation, as well as the customer. They are honoring their estimate, even though it's been a while, due to unforeseen circumstances. Roger and Jim are hard workers and they keep in close contact with the customer, which I think is great.

They did a great job. They were very professional and cleaned up their entire mess after the work was complete. I would highly recommend them and use them again.

They were very responsive and showed up on time to give me the estimate. I wanted to think about it and told them I would get back to them. They called back to see where I was at with having the work done, I told them I was going to hold off for now and they said no problem just let them know if the can help any time in the future. If I do go ahead with the work I will call and have them do it.

My experience with him was good. The paint on the second job didn't hold up, but I don't know if that is his fault. I would recommend him and use him again. I have two more rooms I am going to call him about.

Roger originally quoted the job in October/November 2007 and honored the same price estimate when I decided to have the work completed in August 2008. Jim was the crew chief and did an excellent job along with the rest of the crew. The work product was very detailed and thorough. Our fence was especially in need of work. The finished result of the entire job was excellent. Jim was very nice and made it a point to keep us informed of progress throughout the job. In addition, he wanted to make sure that we were happy with the results prior to collecting any payment for the job - which we very much appreciated. Would recommend Davy Painting to others.

Overall, they did a very good job. They were professional, punctual (except when the weather was bad, not their fault) and clearly explained everything they did. When I did not agree, or wanted to change some things a little differently, they listened and did it my way. I changed the paint color for our 3 garage doors at least 3 times. They purchased small quart cans and tested the colors on one or two panels and asked my opinion. They did not charge extra for the labor, but only for the paint they purchased when I changed the colors. They even painted my mail box and fixed it up before they left. Overall, I think they did a very good job, and I will use them again.

The project went very well. Exterior painting is weather dependent, so our workers remained extremely flexible and reliable. Our thanks to Roger and his team: John, Sean, Ricky & Brandon. Roger Brewer provided a written quote, which I felt was the best quote of the 3 estimates that I received for work performed. He estimated work to start mid Aug. (about a month out). He called about a week early and indicated if we were ready that they could start the following Mon. They had one rain day, but brought in extra help so they could finish by Fri. They did a wonderful paint job.

Both my wife and I were very pleased with the entire process, starting from the original contact with Roger and ending with the completion of the job. When we were first looking to hire a painting contractor, Roger had taken the time to explain the process he used in great detail and everything we should look for in hiring a contractor. As I had never had aluminum siding painted, this was great information to know. In talking with other potential painters, I asked a lot of questions based on this guidance and none refuted this process. We made the decision to hire Davy based on both their price, but more importantly, the confidence that Roger had built. The process started with a complete power washing of the exterior siding. The next day, a Monday, the paint crew arrived, led by Jim. Jim outlined the planned schedule and walked through the entire job with my wife and I to ensure all areas and colors were covered. His team started by removing all of the shutters and downspouts. During the downspout removal, they noticed a buildup of leaves in the gutter and went out of their way to clear the gutter. Thanks James. Jim then proceeded to spray the house itself, while James focused on caulking and painting windows. Because of anticipated rain that week, a second crew showed up that afternoon and they completed painting of the entire body of the house that first day. The second day focused on the gutters and overhangs, and by time the day was over, they had re-installed all downspouts. Wednesday and Thursday brought rain, so no work was done, but on Friday, Jim and his crew completed the work. A point to highlight, as we had just recently bought the home, we were replacing both the entry and garage doors. The timing ended up that these both were installed the same week the painting occurred, but Jim assured me it would be no problem to accommodate this, and he did. As my wife and I pulled into the driveway that evening, it was a wonderful site to see it all come together, the new doors and the new colors. We completed a final walk through that evening, and although there were just a few, Jim and his crew were attentive to every item we pointed out.

It went very well. The painters arrived when they said they would and got the job done. They were very professional and courteous.

The fist contact with the company was made March 29th, and I received a response on March 30th indicating that John Gorr will be putting a bid on the project. They came out, put a bid together and we signed a contract with them on May 9th. For two months, we heard absolutely nothing from them regarding doing the work so on July 4th we sent an email to him indicating that we had not heard a word regarding the work and we felt that it would be best to postpone the contract till we got a better understanding of the job needed. We also sent an email on July 18th asking for a revised contract with work to be done no later than and some sort of guarantee. From there, we never heard back from them. We sent an email and attempted to call to Rodger Bruer indicating that we were very frustrated with the situation and sense the gentleman made the recommendation in the fist place, we wanted to find out if they had any suggetstions or recommendations to get this project done before the weather started to get bad. This put us in a very bad situation. We have rust showing on the barn that concerns us and it's just about too late to hire another company because of how backed up they are and the lateness now in the year. Update: We were able to resolve the issue by giving the project to another company who was able to complete the work by the first of November. The work we did get done (by the other contractor) was excellent.

Their price was very reasonable. The rep. as well as the painters were both polite and respectful. I had good contact with them from the beginning to the end of the project.

He quoted 2 1/2 days for project, work was completed in 2 days. Was there 5 minutes before he said he would be each day. Cleaned up all areas where he worked. Returned all calls promptly. Wasn't the lowest bid but had heard great things about his work, service level and professionalism. Was NOT disappointed. I would strongly recommend Davy Painting for future painting needs!

They did a very good job. They cleaned up after themselves, the pricing was reasonable and the job was done in a timely fashion. I would recommend them to anyone.

They started the job in November. They did the exterior and did not complete it. They painted the deck and it rained the next day and ruined the paint. Then they came to explain that they were going to finish and said that they would come back the next day, but no one showed up. They repeatedly would not show when they said. Then finally they did finish it in July when they stated it would be finished in November. We had no working deck for several months. I would never recommend them to my worst enemy. They only called when their payments were do. I would never use them again. I ask that you take him off the list. The price at the end did not reflect the problems that we had with them.
