Jim met me at the house and gave very good advise on the best ways to paint the interior. He provided me a quote on the spot. We scheduled the work the day after we received the quote. The work was complete over a period of 4 days. Davy Painting went the extra mile to ensure a detailed and quality job. Some surfaces received 4 coats!

Roger returned my call for an estimate and was out to our house to look at the job within a day or so. Jim and Anthony performed the work and did an excellent job! They are so meticulous about their work and the finished product was perfect. We used Davy Painting last summer to paint the entire exterior of our house, including the stucco, and they did an excellent job then as well. We would definitely recommend them and will use them for our future painting needs!

Roger and the paint crew were a very good bunch to work with. Very experienced and made several excellent suggestions.

Mr. Brewer returned my call promptly and set up an appt. to come to my house. He was very friendly and gave me good advice of what to look for when engaging someone to do work for me. He was very thorough and spent time to answer any and all of my questions. He got back to me promptly with an estimate. I thought that it was a very fair estimate and told him to put me on his schedule to start work. He furnished a folder with the printed estimate and all of the appropriate papers of references, proof of insurance, Angie's List Award etc. They came and power washed the cedar siding a couple of weeks later. I had been told that they would have to finish the job they were currently working on. Unfortunately, the weather had changed and it rained for quite a few days. I had been concerned that the cedar might have mildew on the surface and might have to be treated , but after the power wash it was determined that it was just the natural weathering of the wood. The cedar had not been painted for a number of years, so it took a lot of paint. Many of the nails had popped out of the wood which had to be driven back in or replaced with screws. Since the cedar siding extended over two stories high, it did involve an extension ladder and was a pretty big job. Also, the paint sprayer could not be used due to the way the windows were installed. So all the siding around the windows had to be brush painted. I even got the painter to clean the upper tiered windows for a little extra since they were so high up that an extension ladder was needed. Both painters were friendly and very conscientious at all times. I feel that I got a very good job at an excellent price and would certainly use Davy Painting again.

Jim Norris, worked on my home. He found some problems a builder did do correctly on my walls. Instead of simply painting over the walls, he corrected the mistakes prior to painting. The walls and then painted them. He does great work for perfectionists and really cares about his work. He offers excellent prices and works with the customer to make them happy. He does quality work and I would highly recommend him.

This experience with Davy Painting has been fantastic. Roger Brewer contacted me, came out, gave an estimate of $2,000.00 (which I felt was very reasonable), and kept in contact throughout the job. Jim, the painter, was a pleasure to work with. He kept me informed every step of the way. When he removed the chimney, we had an unpleasant surprise when a dead bird was discovered at the point of entry into the house. However, this solved a problem we have had since moving into the house with a bad odor in the basement. ALLELUIA! The smell is gone and we can now enjoy the downstairs. There was a slight problem getting the color of the shutters correct, but Jim went out of his way to make sure we were satisfied. He cleaned up every day, and was extremely polite and professional. I am very pleased with the way the entire effort went. Jim went above and beyond performing the job. I would highly recommend this company to anyone, and would definitely use them again.

Warning: Check your home closely for needed touch-ups because once your check is written, you will NEVER see them again for any needed/promised touch-ups. ALSO, if you need any extra work, get an exact quote upfront or you will be unpleasantly suprised when the job is finished! Also, if you're a female, have a man with you who is strong and will not be bullied by increased prices.I paid over FIVE THOUSAND dollars to Mike Davy and his team to paint my condo. At first he seemed honest and ethical. I found out later, however, that that isn't the case. See instances below...-After services were finished, Mike INCREASED MY QUOTE by $300 without first giving me this estimate either verbally or in writting. :-( I have no problem paying for extra work, just let me know how much more money is needed so I can either budget accordingly or decline the service!-Mike exceeded the agreed upon completion date by several days which caused me to cancel my movers, cancel my carpet layers and re-schedule my whole move. :-(-Mike had promised that he would perform any needed touch-ups! Unfortunately, he did not deliver on any of my requests to perform needed touch-ups. -Mike assured me that there would be at least 2 coats of paint throughout my home, but in one room I could see through the new paint to the old paint underneath. (NOTE: Old paint was even a LIGHT color.) So I called to ask Mike about touching up the room before I moved in. He explained that he was "too busy" with other customers and would not be able to fix his mistake prior to my move-in date. When I asked when he would be available, he replied, "I'll have to check my schedule and get back to you." HE NEVER CALLED ME BACK...presumably because he had already been paid! :-(-While waiting to hear back from Mike about his schedule, I (and several vistors) also noticed that my interior doors were not given the promised amount of paint coats. The doors were orginally brown and were painted white. UNFORTUNATELY, it is obvious that one or more of his promised prep/paint steps were neglected because everyone can see where only ONE coat of paint was applied on various areas of the doors as the original brown color is clearly showing through in various areas. FURTHER, the PAINT IS ALREADY SCRATCHING OFF my kitchen cabinets, trim and doors with barely even the faintest nick. Was the promised primer even applied??? -I called back a SECOND TIME...this time to discuss the doors. Mike was unconcerned and aggravated by my call, explaining that any missed areas were probably a result of simply being distracted by other customer phone calls while on the job. He once again gave me an empty promise to contact me when he was able to complete my touch ups. IT IS NOW THREE MONTHS LATER and I have NEVER again heard from Mike. And since he only left me a measely quarter can of paint, I can't even touch up the job myself without having to spend more time/money for the job HE was paid over $5,000 to do! :-( VERY dissapointed!

He is great. We really liked him. I felt like he was a really nice guy. I had to cancel abruptly because of an emergency. He was very understanding with the rescheduling. He has actually done some work for us before. He is fast and pleasant to have in the home.

Roger Brewer the owner responded within 24 hours to our call, he came to our house on April 22 and gave us the estimate for the cost to power wash the 12 white stucco pillars supporting our cedar fence, the house, any minor repairs to sections and to paint the house, shutters, stucco pillars,front yard iron railing sections and exterior lamps posts, he also educated us on what to be aware of in projects like this in case we decided not to use his company, which was very helpful. We awarded the project to Davy Painting on April 25, 2012, and they started on May 4, 2012. In the middle of the project my husband I decided that we really needed to have the cedar fence restained also because it looked " aged" (which it was) and it did not look as good as the newly re-stained cedar section on the front of the house. They started Friday, May 4, 2012 but because of some rainy weather days there were some delays but they did an outstanding job on the projects which both were completed by Thursday, May 24, 2012. The crew Roger assigned the project to was small but mighty , Jim the crew supervisor and also the co-owner was on the site each and everyday, keeping us informed of the progress, showing great pride in his work and providing outstanding customer service to us. They were on time, courteous, and finished the job within the time they said they would. It was expensive, but worth the quality of the work.

We started with a call to Davy after finding them on Angie's List. Roger called back and was very responsive, coming out to the house to give a quote a few days later. He was the third to give a quote, and the only which did not simply quote a full house repaint (we gave them all the same directions, i.e. come out and give us a quote on repairing rotted trim and doing what needed to be done to bring the house up to a state of excellent repair on the exterior surfaces). Roger seemed very honest (backed up by previous Angie's List reviews) and said, while he'd be happy to do a full repaint, in his opinion the house did not need it (which I agreed with). Based on this, in a phone call over the weekend, we decided to proceed since they had an opening the very next Monday. A written quote was emailed on Sunday and, while it did not appear to fully represent what we discussed (fair detail on repairing and repainting the garage and only one line on touching up and repairing the rest of the house -- which to us was a big part of the job) , we decided to proceed anyways. The painters showed up Monday as planned, and things were going well until Tuesday afternoon when they appeared to be finishing up without completing' all the touch up painting around the house. When we questioned the workers about the finished product, we got a call back from Roger within an hour to address the shortcoming. He was out promptly the next morning, we walked around and agreed on what needed to be done. The workers diligently completed the work that day, for the originally agreed upon price. Once completed, it looked great. Based on their responsiveness, integrity, price, and performance, I would recommend Davy painting. For best results, as with any contractor, ensure your expectations are fully laid out and consistent with the written quotation.

Over the course of a week they painted: the walls, ceiling and trim of our master bedroom; the walls and ceiling of a spare bedroom; the walls and ceiling of an office and hallway; and the walls and ceiling of a very large, high ceilinged room with skylights. The crew arrived on time, worked neatly and cleanly. They paid great attention to prepping the walls. Their detail work on the edges was as close to perfect as I've ever seen. I found their price point to be reasonable - and once they were done I had realized that I actually would have paid more for the quality of the work. I have already signed the contract for them to paint the EXTERIOR of my home. That's probably the best recommendation I can give them. Great, honest, hard working team of folks at Davy Painting.

Excellent exterior painting job from powerwashing the whole house to the finest special trim work. The crew offered suggestions on how to improve the chances of making the finished work last. Care to our property during the job was a high priority and cleanup after followed the same high standards. Very informative of the process along the way. The job was completed in a very timely manner, even with the day and a half pause for the heavy rainstorms.

This company was professional. They did a great job and I would use them again in the future.

Overall, the experience was outstanding. They are clean and they never leave a mess. They are very nice people. I have no complaints. I wouldn't use anyone else and recommend them to anyone!

The project took a long time to complete due to the poor weather but they were willing to work on weekends to get the job down when the weather was nice. The house looks great and they made sure that I was happy with everything before they left.

The price was very fair, had the chance to pad the work and did not. We were not onsight when the work was performed. There was a question if one coat would be sufficient. All rooms covered in one coat and the bill was for the lowest estimate. The quality of the work was excellent. I can literally find nothing to complain about. Would highly recommend this company to anyone and should we need painting in the future we will call Steve first.

They estimated two days for the project and completed the project on time. After they finished the painting part of the job they cleaned up everything - including dusting off some shelves which they had taken down and reinstalled. They did a thorough inspection before they departed. I plan on using this company again.

We battled weather for days, but Jim always called to keep me posted, then called again to say when he was at the house. He was very kind and professional. Paint job was well done and they cleaned up after themselves perfectly. I could tell he has been in the business for a long time. I will use them again.
