He destroyed the edge of my driveway, stole conditioned earth that was two properties away from where he was contracted to work, replaced it with muddy gravel, destroyed my raspberries which were planted along the driveway, and refused to cease his behavior, so I had to call the police on him to get him to go back to the property he was contracted to work on.

All went exactly as promised. Gil came when he said he would, used quality materials and professional methods. Result works perfectly. Even did a little extra work to make sure all drainage was working and charged nothing extra for the work. Strongly recommend him.

I called Gil on a Friday and we talked about the project. He was able to come by my house on Saturday to give an estimate and discuss how he would do the work. He agreed to do the work on the following Wednesday. Since he was going to be using a Bobcat, a concern of mine was the damage that would be done to the yard because the ground was a bit soft due to the rain, though I know that any sort of Bobcat work can result in ruts and tore up grass so I was prepared for the worst. He carefully planned out the route he would take with the Bobcat and the work area he needed in order to minimize damage to the yard. At the end of the day I couldn't have asked for a better outcome. Other than the path needed to get the Bobcat into the back yard, there was very little yard area disturbed anywhere else, and the tracks that were left will be pretty easy to repair. Gil was an expert using the Bobcat auger even with some of the post holes only a foot away from the house. When the holes were dug, he hauled the dirt away and cleaned up the driveway as well as he could on his way out. I absolutely recommend him for any excavation work you need, specifically deck/fence/post holes.

We needed to widen the driveway at my mother's home to allow for all the family to park in the driveway rather than in the yard when visiting. Mr. Goodheil was going on vacation when we called, but he squeezed us in to come and give us an estimate before going, and came and did the work right after he got back. He did the backhoe work to add to the driveway, and also to level everything out with the existing driveway, arranged to have all the gravel delivered, hauled away the dirt--took care of absolutely everything for us. He even filled in a hole left when we had a tree stump removed that wasn't in the driveway, using part of the dirt. Backhoe, trucks, trailers, all kinds of equipment were there, but there was no mess left behind or tracks in the yard. My mother says it looks like it was born that way. He did a great job for a great price, and we couldn't be more satisfied.

Gil was great about follow-up and extremely good at his job. He was professional and I was very impressed the quality of the job he provided.

I was in need of someone to move a truckload of dirt -- and quickly -- due to where it had been placed originally. We had been having trouble finding someone to do it, and so I called Gil. He responded immediately, made room in his schedule to come out to look at it over the weekend, and told me he could do it within 4 days (given the trouble we have had with getting our excavator out, or anyone else with a Bobcat., 4 days was miraculous!). While I didn't end up needing him in the end, I was impressed by his responsiveness and willingness to work me in to his schedule since I was in need. I would definitely call him for anything like this again.

he did a great job on contracted work. he even leveled two mounds of dirt for me that we hadn't discussed in the contracted work. came back a week later to fix a third tile that i found after he had completed the original work - just charged for materials.

I wanted to have my driveway leveled, topped with crushed limestone and graded. I contacted Gil on July 2nd. He promptly returned my call and came out to discus the job. He is a very personable fellow. Once here we discussed adding some additional grading work to a shared drive. I told him that I would talk to my neighbors and he said that he would contact me within the week. He explained that he had 12 other jobs ahead of me and that because he lives in Millersport, that he likes to consolidate work with jobs in the same general areas. He took measurements but did not give an estimate at this time. I called him that week and told him my neighbors were interested in having the work done. He came out towards the end of August,remeasured the job and discussed the work that he would be doing. We said that we wanted the work done. He said that he would contact us with an estimate. He also said that he is about 50 jobs out. It is now Nov 11th and we haven?t still haven?t been contacted. After I retired I did handyman work for 10 years. I know what it is like to get behind in your obligations, but I always communicated with clients if there was a change in my original plans. This is my first experience using Angie's List.

Gil is a pleasure to work with. He is kind, professional, and responsive. He is also generous with his time in the planning stages to make sure the final product turns out well. We were adding a circle drive to a new building on the property and he spent extra time making sure the drive was long enough and wide enough to accommodate our truck and trailer. He was right, the way we had originally layed it out would have failed to do the job. I appreciated his guidance which save a lot of money and headache down the road. He also used some of the material for the new drive to fix the existing gravel drive that was full of potholes. When he first did it, he was not entirely satisfied with the result so he brought a different piece of equipment out in a separate trip to make sure the job was done just right. Our driveway had not been maintained for many years and was a mess. We are very pleased with the result. The prices were fair. Not the cheapest nor the most expensive excavating service. I felt the service provided was worth what we spent and I couldn't be happier. We will hire Gil again when we are ready to do drain tiles across the fields.

wonderful everything works and looks great he was here everyday doing something or preparing for the next task. cleaned up after every work day even sweeping off the road, he was nice helpful answered our questions we have already recommended him to people my husband works with and our neighbor is wanting an estimate which by the way are free.

He excavated a parking spot in our front yard. He was pretty confident, he was good on the bobcat and everything, got the work done pretty fast.

Gil was great! He was prompt, professional and worked hard all day. He did a speedy job getting the old blacktop pulled up and removed, and then thoroughly filled in the area new topsoil and seeded the former blacktop area as well as the tracks in the yard where his mini backhoe dug in the yard. We were impressed with his responsiveness and how polite he was. He did a great job and we would definitely use him again in the future.

Gil contacted us quickly and made an appointment to come give us an estimate and look at the property. After we gave him the go ahead, he ordered the limestone and that company called to arrange drop off and payment with us. Once that was delivered, Gil was out within a couple days to start the work. It was supposed to only be a single day but shortly after lunch, a hydraulic hose busted on the bobcat and he had to go to Hilliard for the part so they called it a day and came back the next day. During excavation for a drainage pipe, he accidentally "found" our septic pipe (we just bought the property and did not know where it was) so they had to replace a section of that and he put in a clean out for us while he was there. Trenching had to be done to connect drainage pipe coming from the gutters and the pipes were installed and had to cross the drive and spill out in another section of yard. We wanted the drive extended behind the house and the previous owners had laid down a bunch of brick (poorly done) so we needed that all scraped out and moved so that they could lay the liner and put in the limestone. We did not ask him to make things "pretty" when he was done so where the trenching was done isn't beautiful and has washed some but that is okay with us and we will work on that on our own. Overall, he did what we asked him to do and we are happy with his service.

I've engaged A Custom Bobcat Service on multiple occasions spanning over 10 years; each time they have been competitively priced, responsive, thorough, and professional. I have never had a problem with their work, and will use them again.

In order to gain more yard space, we removed an asphalt driveway with many layers, and regraded the yard to level it for a fence installation. We also had a new concrete sidewalk placed, and the gutter and curb had to be replaced where the driveways apron was removed. Gil was propmt, courteous, and willing to negotiate on price. The work was completed in a timely manner, and met or exceeded my expectations. He worked with the city to comply with specs for the gutter and curb, and communicated clearly during the whole project.

I was located in a county that he wasn't even listed as servicing on Angie's List, and he came over anyway. He did the job the next day or maybe even that afternoon. He called me on his cell phone when he got there. He looked it over and did the estimate first hand. He traveled twice once to do the estimate and again within the next day or two to do the work.

They came out and repaved it for us originally. It was good until about a month after then it started cracking again. The first and second sides both cracked. After the first side cracked we called him and he said that that was normal settling and that it wasn't his fault so he wouldn't come out to repair the problem. SO we are left with the exact same problem that he came out to fix.

He is very neat and particular about his work. He didn't damage any of the surrounding home or yard. The inspector even commented on the wonderful workmanship. He is great to deal with and his communication with us, as well as our builder, throughout the project was wonderful. He ran in to a couple unforeseen snags, it is a 60 year old home, and dealt with them at no additional cost (or complaining!). We would highly recommend Gil and will be using him in the next couple months to help us with our patio and walkways.
