It took 3 people 2 days to complete the work. I would definitely use them again. The workers were very professional. They did a very good job.

Had to call them back because the windows did not operate smoothly and the nails holes were not filled. We also needed some of the missing hardware installed. They installed the missing hardware, filled the nail holes and spayed pledge on the frame. They said that the windows would loosen up with time. We had to force the screens into place and are afraid to take them out. We have asked for a warranty on the windows and labor and still have not received them as of June 2014. We do not receive return calls. They did match the interior stain beautifully, but I would not use them when we decide to replace the remaining windows in our home.

I was very impressed with the job. I normally do siding projects myself but, when I ran into a time issue, Holmes siding gave a great price to finish the job and they were done in a day and a half. Job we'll done. I would recommend them to anyone.

What a terrible experience! We called a week ahead of time to set up an appointment. The girl (Brianna) scheduled us for Tuesday, June 18 at 10A. She then called that same morning around 9A and said there was a scheduling mix-up: apparently, some one didn't realize that the person was to keep our appointment was on vacation! She then asked to reschedule the next day (Wednesday, June 19) for 1P. When it got to be 1:45P, and no one had shown up, my husband called, and the same girl said she probably wrote down the day incorrectly (even though she was the one who said they could come the next day - which would have been Wednesday). She then rescheduled (AGAIN) for Friday, June 21 - 10A. She called around 9A and said the person who was to come to see us had an accident. She then said she would call us back or e-mail us to let us know if he would still be able to keep the appointment! WE ARE STILL WAITING!!!!! In other words, NO ONE CALLED US BACK. We wasted three days waiting for them to keep their appointments. I am appalled by the unprofessionalism and incompetence.

My initial interaction was with one of their salesmen, Jason. He was very friendly and helpful. Once they began work the crew were excellent and efficient workmen and very neat. The job began on the date Jason told me and was finished in 6 days. I found this very impressive given the scope of work that was completed. A few additional issues arised during their work and they were able to remediate each issue for no additional charge. I highly recommend Holmes Siding Contractors.

Workers were very pleasant, efficient and always on time. Went above expectations with trim.

We had about 2-3 days of tear off, then about 5 days of putting on the new materials. They had a crew of 4 to 6 workers every day, and they arrived promptly at the agreed on time every morning. The project took a little longer than we (and they) expected, but the crew was on assignment at our house until it was completed. They cleaned up at the end of every day, with a major clean-up at the end. There were numerous, custom issues, and they described options for each and we would decide on a day-by-day basis some of the final details. It was particularly convenient that I could go home for lunch daily to discuss things with the crew. The siding crew was excellent. They were careful craftsmen, and every detail was attended to. The gutter crew was not quite as well prepared, and needed more supervision than I would have thought necessary. In fact, we did have to have an extra service call to fully seal the gutters. Since the house looked so nice, we cut down our front tree to get a better view. When we did this, we noticed some minor siding issues that were previously hidden. This was about 1 month after the job was completed and full payment had been made. We called on these issues, and Holmes sent out a crew to perform the repair within 2 days of our call! The issues were fixed to our complete satisfaction at no extra charge. We were incredibly impressed with their customer commitment and rapid response. We recommend this company whole heartedly.

The overall process went extremely well. Holmes siding was most helpful and patient during the entire process. We live in a 25+ year old, planned development in which all homes were constructed with stained wood, e.g. redwood, cedar. These soft woods do not rot but do attract bugs, e.g. carpenter bees, with woodpeckers following the bees. We have had to have portions of the siding replaced over the years. The result was a multi-hued exterior color. Several years ago, the homeowners association/board approved vinyl siding replacement after an extended rancorous debate/process. The approved vinyl siding specifications were very restrictive - only high end/high cost, insulating foam back, thick vinyl siding with a minimum of 6 inch profile was approved. At that time we procured several estimates and found the pricing to be prohibitively expensive. We met Holmes Siding (and another siding contractor) at the 2009 Cleveland Home and Flower Show. Ed Yoder/Holmes Siding told us that he was providing aggressive pricing during the current economic downturn so he didn't have to layoff any of his Amish workers. We had both contractors provide us quotes. Holmes provided a very aggressive price - the other contractor's quote was 50% higher. Holmes BBB rating was A+. Holmes closely worked with us during the Homeowners board approval process. We had to obtain board approval for a (darker) color recently introduced with the Akron, Ohio based siding manufacturer and matching color trim pieces. [We could have obtained even lower pricing if we used another leading consumer magazine highly rated product but this supplier did not offer darker siding colors.] The Vinyl Siding Institute certified, Amish installers were amazingly efficient. They resided our home in less than 1.5 days. The resultant product appearance far exceeded our expectations. Our home's new exterior appearance can best be described an extreme makeover. We have received numerous compliments from our neighbors, e.g. looks like classic New England home. We felt we received a great value in this job. We highly recommend Holmes Siding. Holmes Siding is providing great pricing during this economic downturn (Spring/Summer 2009). This is a great time to reside your home if you can afford it.)
