The Cleaning Authority - Cincinnati

We hired The Cleaning Authority out of Milford for a full house clean after moving all the contents out. They were able to get it scheduled quickly and quoted an estimate of $200. The clean was okay, but missed a lot of details in the refrigerator and the toilets, such as under the glass shelves, within the door shelves, and around the toilet bowl rim. The interior of the oven was not cleaned. As part of showing and selling the house, we did a significant deep clean nearly a month prior so the house was not grossly negated from a cleaning prospective. Originally quoted $200, we were very shocked to get a bill for $290 and not have the attention to detail spend on cleaning. For what looks to be two cleaners for less than two hours of work, based on the cameras, we were quite disappointed with the cost and the outcome.

Our housekeeper changed jobs; so we needed to hire another company. the owner of the franchise came out and gave me an estimate. His pricing was in the ballpark. There were other companies whom I interviewed that were higher, and some were lower. I chose The Cleaning Authority because they are located in my township and I believe in giving local business a shot. We have used them four times since hiring; we have our house cleaned twice a month; we live in a ranch house. The girls do a good job; and the supervisor has come by three out of four times to check in and ensure everything is cleaned to her satisfaction. Very impressive.

The owner, Mike, came to check our home out. He was honest that they don't really do occassional cleaning, so each time the crew would come, it would cost the same as an initial cleaning. I knew that it woudn't be the best fit for me, but Mike said he would call within the next 24 hours to give an estimate. He never called.

The first clearing service was impeccable. The cleaning crew was also punctual, professional, and pleasant -- and my house has never been cleaner. What's more, the company sent out a supervisor to inspect the job the crew did, before the crew left my house. I have never seen a cleaning company do this before. I was very impressed. I could not possibly be more happy with my decision to hire this company.

It was good. I was pleased with them. I have been using them for probably a year now. The overall service was excellent.

The owner came out and we went over exactly what I needed. We then started a rotation for them to come at a specific time every 3rd week. They are always there on time, they are doing an excellent job, and they put things back exactly where they were. Everything is extremely clean and they even leave a detailed sheet of what they have done that day and sign it. They even accommodate us when we have special requests. I have tried several cleaning services, both companies and individuals, and I have not had much luck. But this company is so responsive and their work is excellent. I would recommend this company to anyone that is looking for a cleaning service.

We've been using TCA for about 7 months. We have been completely satisfied so far. Cleaning is thorough. One thing that stands out for us is their flexibility - from time to time we need to change our normal cleaning cycle; our representative, Mike, is immediately responsive (even in email) and adjusts plans without any issues. Another thing we like is that we consistently get the same crew with few exceptions. The crew is respectful, professional and also good with our dog, which is important to us. I highly recommend TCA.

The first time they cleaned the house looked nice. Each time after that we were not as pleased with the service. Due to a trip we needed to change the date they typically cleaned. They sent "team 6" to do the cleaning. When I came home I couldn't tell anyone had even been there except there standard form note. We had pillows thrown all over our bed, spots on our bathroom floors and water marks on the faucets. I called and spoke with Mike who stated he did notice that the team was in and out rather fast. Had Mike reached out when he noticed that he may have saved a customer. He did offer to have someone do a re-clean, but that was only because I called. We are very disappointed as we did a lot of research before hiring a cleaning company and used the reviews on Angie's list to help. I would not recommend this company.

Naomi and Kathy have done a superb job cleaning our house! Can't thank them enough! I requested this team to be our regular team for once a month house cleaning. They do a thorough and diligent job. The house looks great! The office staff is very responsive, accurate, accommodating and prompt.

They refused to honor The Big Deal, saying that they had asked Angie's List to discontinue it some time ago.

It worked out well. I continue to use them and I was happy with them. They did a good job and it worked for the schedule I needed.

It went well. They sent 3 girls and they were done in 1 and 1/2 hours. Very thorough and friendly.

Scheduled a crew in with a very friendly person that answered the phone - scheduled couple of weeks in advance. I explained what we had, and what my expectations were - and all was set. Crew showed up on time as scheduled. 2 of the cleaners went and started on the bathrooms, while one worked on the kitchen. Something happened however, because the cleaning was not up to expectations. My wife needs a care giver with her during the day, and after inspecting the work, some re-work needed to be done, including picking up some piles of trash that they forgot. After I got home, I went through the rooms that were cleaned and immediately noticed that some of the work was substandard. I took pictures, and emailed them to Mike Randall, who responded the next day. Mike indicated that he had sent a new crew, but he was surpassed that we would have had some of the problems we did. In under 1 week, Mike sent a veteran crew of 2 cleaners for 1.5 hours to redo the work (or at least resolve the problems). I have to commend Mike for the prompt and courteous response, as well as the sending of the second crew. They say that it takes up to 12 good actions to rectify 1 bad action - and my experience has confirmed this. However, in my opinion, Mike went above and beyond the call of duty, and exceeded my expectations. I thank Mike and crew for what turned out to be a very positive experience, and an example to others of how to handle mistakes when they happen.

They do very well. I feel comfortable allowing them into the house to clean while I am not there to supervise. They do a great job; when I come back to the house, it is wonderfully clean.

Two gals arrived promptly at 8:40am...Immediately went to work...As expected, the cleaning took longer than I had signed up for (2 hours for $120)...Took 3 hours and 45 minutes...Company honored the discount price for the additional time....And the gals never stopped working...Cleaned top to bottom...Towards the end, a supervisor unexpectedly showed up to see how the cleaning was going...Nice that the company stays on top of things...Cannot say enough about the excellent job they did...Will definitely use them again and definitely recommend to others...

I first heard about the Cleaning Authority from a mailer. I called and set up an appt. for them to come out and tell me about their services and give an estimate. I was pleased that they had an every 3 week option. He explained that after the first "spring cleaning" they would then rotate areas of thorough cleaning. The next two times I had the same crew but then the one gal had taken maternity leave and was replaced with another gal. I was not as pleased with her work or disposition. Then the next time the other gal told me she would not be back because she was moving out of state. Now I was back to square one at getting to know them and being able to trust. I had more then one substitution after another. The cleaning became inconsistent. I would find spots on my kitchen floor that they missed and they were no longer dusting everything and they would sometimes move the throw rugs when they mopped or not. The last straw was when a sub came with the regular crew and she vacuumed my bedroom carpet with my cleaner & because it was elevated for the shag carpeting in the living room it picked up nothing. I have white carpet so it was very apparent. Her excuse was that her fellow worker (in charge) told her that their vacuum had blown up. She told me that there must be something wrong with my vacuum. I then explained "again" that my vacuum has an attachment to elevate it. Then the gal in charge said no I did not tell you that our vacuum had blown up I just needed to change the cord. They had told me to inspect their cleaning and this is what I found, dirt around rug in bathroom, they did not dust around the fire place this time & then she said "well one of my customers don't like me to do that". The charge gal also was pregnant and she felt free to tell me she was beat because she had been up all night shopping. I then called the manager and reported this and said I would not be needing their services any longer.

Courteous and professional from start to finish

The CLEANING AUTHORITY does a really nice job on your house. My house is pretty dirty by the time they show up every other week, but they do a good job and use products that are environmentally friendly. They are very kind to my dog, too. To me, this service is a lifesaver.

Yesterday was my second cleaning with this company and I am THRILLED! I have used several services in the past and have not felt the sense of "clean" when I get home as much as I did yesterday with The Cleaning Authority. I like that they are a franchise, they have systems and procedures that are clearly defined and the employees know what they are supposed to do when they arrive. I am given a "letter" explaining what was focused on this clean and what to expect next time. The price is right and the service is even better! Thank you!

The crew forgot to call me and called while sitting in the parking lot. When I arrived I walked them through the unit and detailed exactly what I wanted done. They thought it would take about 1-1/2 to 2 hours. I asked them to close up when they left as the door would lock automatically. I did not hear from anyone for more than four hours so I called the office to see if they were done. I was told yes and the charge was $213 for 2-1/2 hours. Fine. I went over to the unit later that afternoon. To my surprise, the crew did a lousy job and did not clean as asked. The kitchen floor was not cleaned, the kitchen cabinets still had food and crumbs inside so obviously they did not wipe down cabinets. The kitchen countertop was not wiped down and dirty. Window sills were dusty. The hardwood flooring to the upstairs was not touched and full of dirt and dust. I was not happy and went home to call their office. Unfortunately, the office was closed but I did leave a message regarding my dissatisfaction. Early the next morning, Mike, the company president, called me apologizing. He asked if it would be possible for the two ladies to return that afternoon and complete the job to my satisfaction. At no charge. The gals came back and I checked on the unit later that day. The unit looked great and they completed all tasks that were asked of them. Thank you, Mike, for standing by your company and making sure the customer is satisfied. I applaud you. You deserve an A for your professionalism.

The team of 3 women were over an hour late and I didn't receive a phone call until well after the time they should have arrived. When they arrived they were very pleasant and completely ready and they started cleaning immediatly. It drives me crazy when cleaning companies don't have a cover for the bottom of the vacuum cleaner and the maids have to sit the vacuum cleaner on the filtthy dirty street and then they don't wipe the wheels and then use it ti clean my carpet. I usualy provide my own vacuum cleane for that very reason., but I didn't have one in the new place yet. I had to leave so I really did not get to see them clean, but the place looked great and smelled so much better when I returned. I asked them for their team number so I will be able to request them again before the move in and while living in the condo as well.
