Potterhill Homes

The experience from start to finish and beyond has been dreadful. From shady sales tactics, unclear and ever-changing pricing to poor construction quality and difficulty in getting warranty issues resolved, it has been a terrible experience. As an example, it took over 8 months to get some of the items on our 60 day warranty request resolved (including holes put in our drywall that remained unfinished for 6 months), and it took a great deal of nagging and contacting them in order to get those things completed. When they finally were, the quality was so poor that I'm pretty sure we are going to have to hire someone else to correct some of these issues and make them look halfway decent. We should have followed our instincts and walked away before we signed a contract and started the building process. I would absolutely not recommend Potterhill to anyone.

Simply put: We are disappointed with the level of quality that Potterhill Homes provided when they built our home and of the level of service they provide when they address warranty issues. In fairness, we will reserve additional comments until after they have had more opportunity to make resolutions and for when our experience is more complete..

They were very difficult to work with. They were very slow to respond to our needs and requests for information. They refused to bid on the price without a non-refundable deposit. After we said we would not pay the deposit they gave us the bid anyway. They would not provide pricing until an on site inspection took place which we had to pay for. After the result of the on site inspection there was an estimate for an additional $30,000 for site improvements. The $350 we paid was for the on site inspection.
