They showed up on time. Highly recommend this company

I called PBQ Home Solutions and they did call me back fairly quickly (that's why I gave them an A rating for responsiveness). Told man on the phone about our doors, the water leaks and wall repairs we might need. He agreed to come out a few days later. He then calls me on the morning of my scheduled appointment and says " I'm not going to be able to make it today, my daughter has a soccer game and I'm going to that". I chose another day and he did'nt like that one. So I choose yet another day (which was a saturday) and he laughs and says "I try to keep my weekends free to do family things". It seemed like I was trying harder to reschedule the appointment than he was. I know he may have family commitments but if you run a business you have to keep track of your schedule and not overlap things . I was annoyed that he did'nt seem concerned and that he was'nt trying to work with me after HIS mistake! They have things called calendars, maybe he should use one. By the way, I got too frustrated with him and decided not to call him back and have any work done. Now I'm back to square one and looking for a new handyman. Think about looking elsewhere.

Paul came over for an estimate, I had a general idea of what I wanted but no idea of the details. He sat for hours with us pointing out what would and would not work with our space. He gave us ideas on things we had not thought of, such as lighting. He told us the "codes" for what we needed with permits. My mom can not walk up steep stairs and we had a problem with the depth of the stairs so he talked to the inspectors and worked out a solution for the problem with the "code" depth. From start to finish he kept us informed of what was going on and where things were. The estimate was spot on. I made changes through out the project and with each change he told me that will or will not change the price. He makes sure to be here with the inspectors so I am not thrown to the lions ( that has happened to me before.) I have had several people comment on how good the deck looks. My deck is large 20 feet by 20 feet on the outside and It is butted up to the pool. All the edges are beveled (may not be the right word) and smooth, no splinters for me or the kids. I almost forgot, he put the kids to work when they were willing. I never felt like any of us were in the way, he was great with my twins, who can be in the way often. All in all he is a joy to have working around your home. I feel he is honest and backs up his work.

The work was all done on time and he arrived at the time he said he would. I was very pleased with everything he did.

Paul was excellent to work with. He was very conscientious and hard working.
