 + -1 moreTemporary supports were added and the rusting columns were cut out. 2X12s were laminated to the outside of the existing beam, and crash blocks where added and the new columns set on the existing footers. The bottom 8 or 10 inches of the new columns were embedded in concrete - on top of the footers to protect against any future exposure to water in the space. The work was completed in a single day.
Description of Work: Repair/reinforce stucrtural support beam (constructed of laminated 2X10s). Replace rusting steel support columns with new columns. Embed base of new columns in concrete to protect against future exposure to water.
