 + -1 moreWe had intended to correct only the worst areas of the driveway and drainage problem which Kim gladly agreed to do. But, after seeing the quality of the repair work and the difference it made in the appearance of the driveway we decided to have the entire driveway, turn-around and patio repaired and restored. Kim's work crew is experienced. They know what they're doing and take pride in their work. Everyone on the job was super friendly and happy to explain every facet of the project. I found D&K through Angie's List and give the strongest recommendation possible for anyone needing paver and retaining wall work to use Kim McFadden and his men for your project.
Description of Work: Our entire paver driveway, turn-around and patio were taken apart (all were incorrectly installed when we had the house built 18 years ago). The old base was removed. A new crushed stone base with compacted sand was put in place and the pavers were re-set in a stronger pattern along with a decorative paver trim around the perimeter. A drainage problem off one side of the driveway was corrected with a small retaining wall, cement catch basin and drain. Uni-stone pavers were applied to the cement stoop at the front door and two new cement steps along with uni-stone trim were constructed off the patio. A drain was installed to move water away from the house and patio.

 + -1 moreWE HAD NEVER HEARD OF D&K ENTERPRISES UNTIL OUR CONTRACTOR RECOMMENDED THEM. NOW, THEY WILL BE THE FIRST PEOPLE WE CALL WHENEVER WE NEED PAVERS, EXCAVATING, GRADING, DIGGING, OR TRENCHING. THEY SENT FOUR PEOPLE TO DO OUR "2-DAY JOB". IN ORDER TO BEAT THE WEATHER AND SOME OTHER PROJECTS, THE ENTIRE CREW WORKED 12+ HOUR DAYS IN ORDER TO STAY ON-SCHEDULE. NOBODY COMPLAINED, NOBODY CUT CORNERS, AND WE WERE NOT CHARGED A DIME OVER THE QUOTE. WE WATCHED AS ONE OF THE CREW MEMBERS PLACED, THEN RE-PLACED SOME OF THE PAVERS OVER AND OVER TO MAKE SURE IT WAS "PERFECT". EVERY MEMBER OF THE CREW WAS COURTEOUS AND PROFESSIONAL, EVEN AFTER THE SUN WENT DOWN AND THEY WERE STILL WORKING TO FINISH THE JOB. WE WOULD HIRE THEM AGAIN IN A HEARTBEAT AND RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE LOOKING FOR PAVER INSTALLATION.
