Everything went extremely smoothly from start to finish. A representative came to the house within a couple days of requesting an estimate. The price was reasonable for the work that needed done. They were able to start the work in a couple of weeks. There was a bit of confusion as we did not realize that we needed to remove the shutters and other hardware attached to the house ourselves before they arrived, but that was easily done once they got here. The painters pressure washed the house and garage and then painted. They matched the paint from the front door trim and used the same color on the shutters. The entire job took 2 days from start to finish. We had two concerns about some over-spray that had gotten on our roof, leaving 2 white blotches. The project manager came out immediately to review the concern and had it corrected within a day. The house and garage look great. I would recommend this company to others.

They were great! Alex did a free in home estimate. He was patient and quick to respond as we changed/added services. Rubin and Pablo were professional and skilled painters. They showed up on time and were a pleasure to work with. We had a few touch up spots that we noticed and they returned right to take care of it. It was a wonderful experience; and, we love our freshly painted home 😊

They painters were professional, clean and efficient. Went without a hitch. Excellent job.

The quote was very reasonable and the sales consultant was very responsive to our needs. The crew arrived on time when they said they would and started right away. The whole project took a week to complete, even though they were dodging rain in order to complete it. They were very clean, with no noticeable paint chips or drips for the entire project. We have a lot of trim on our house and they were very meticulous in getting the edges right. I would definitely hire them again.

The painter did a fine job repainting the 2 small areas where we had entire boards replaced. However they did a horrible job where the paint had started to chip. From what we could tell, the painter just painted over those areas without any scraping or attempt to fill in the gap created by the peeling paint. After complaining, they offered to reduce the price some, but we felt it was still too high considering we were going to have to pay someone else to redo the majority of the work. We then asked for them to either come out and address the issues, or provide us with a larger discount. They said this time of year was not "paint friendly", and they wanted to close the account out for for the end of the fiscal year, so the best they could do was reduce our bill to $350. We were unhappy with this offer, but felt $350 was not worth pursuing legally or risking a ding on our credit report, so just paid the bill. We will not be using, or recommending them in the future.

It was very professionally done. One consult, then scheduled and completed within the time frame quoted. Really made the outside pop!

We hired CertaPro to paint the interior of our 4,600 sq ft new construction home and our 3 car garage before we moved in. We were told they would put their "best crew" on the job. For that large of a job and at almost $6,000, I would have expected nothing less than their best crew. The house was empty so it was an easy job not to work around anything, no holes to patch, etc. However, the crew they subcontracted, while nice, was subpar when it came to painting skills. They didn't know how to paint around door trim as they left huge white gaps between where the trim ended and the paint started, they taped too high above the baseboards leaving more white gaps, painted all over the bottom side of our chair rail trim throughout our entry and upstairs hallway, left numerous large paint drips on walls throughout the house, fully missed certain areas when the entire house was being painted, etc. The list goes on. Not to mention we had to work with the subcontractors insurance after filing a claim because they spilled red paint on our brand new carpet in a 1,300 sq ft area that now needs to be replaced. Our move alone was a large enough project for us but now we're having to clear out our entire finished basement to have the flooring replaced. It was literally brand new carpet; we hadn't even moved into the house yet!! Months later, we're still working through paint touch ups and finally resolved the the insurance claim. This has not been worth the time or money to work with CertaPro of Cincinnati. Even after the job was "finished" after the crew was there for 6 days painting, we noticed several areas needing touch ups so I called to have the crew come back. The supervisor for the job, James H, had basically told the crew we were very upset, there were tons of issues, etc. At this point, that was not the case because we were so focused on moving in that we hadn't had time to see how terrible of a job had been done. They crew arrived with James, looking visibly upset. James continued to berate them in my home in front of me. It was very uncomfortable for myself and the crew and completely unprofessional on James' part. Once we pointed out all the areas we noticed requiring touch ups, I asked James to do a walk through to catch anything we may have missed. His response was "I already did last week." If that were the case, why did we find all these touch ups after the fact?! Then, after the crew left that day, we had time to thoroughly look over the house and noticed tons of issues in the details. I called and requested a new crew this time because I wanted fresh eyes. It shouldn't be on myself and my husband to identify these things. They sent out a new person to do the second round of touch ups. I did not meet him personally but my husband was impressed by him and his work ethic. Unfortunately, there was so much to be fixed that he spent 3 full days in our home and still needs to come back to finish. He also claimed he was the "fixer" and does this all the time. While it’s been nearly 9 months since they started painting, it pains me that we’re still finding quality issues all over the place. It is very unfortunate that we had a bad experience because we used CertaPro of Dayton multiple times in our previous house and they were amazing. We never had an issue with them and they never had to come back for a single touch up. I went out of my way to write them great reviews and recommend them to anyone looking to hire painters. They set the bar high and gave CertaPro a good reputation. They were the reason we hired CertaPro of Cincinnati without question, but that was a huge mistake on our end. Not only will I never recommend CertaPro of Cincinnati but I will continue to let our family, friends, neighbors and coworkers who plan to paint never to use them as well. I just can't even describe how furious I am with how much we paid for our home to be painted and the result we've ended with, plus the time we've spent trying to make it right. I feel like we have been failed by every layer of management at the local franchise. We have only interacted with the paint crews, the unprofessional supervisor and an admin for scheduling and payment at the local franchise. With the plethora of issues we've experienced, it baffles me that no one else has reached out to follow-up, asked to come to our home to evaluate the paint job that was done, offered a discount (we had to ask) or specifically reached out to see how they could make it right. The fact that my husband and I are still the only ones inspecting our home and reaching out to CertaPro just proves that they don't care. I reached out to the Corporate franchise to voice my concerns. I was connected with the franchise owner’s supervisor and explained the situation and my concerns to him. He let me know that if I want to continue pressing this issue, I would need to ask to speak with the owner of the local franchise. I then complained to Corporate again to which they said there was nothing they could do. To rub salt on the wound, they offered us a gift card to any place of our choosing for our troubles and then never sent us anything (it’s been eight months since that conversation so I’m not holding my breath on it). Moral of the story, do not hire this franchise.

I would not use again. Job was completed but was an arduous process. This company subcontracts out the work which was not explained up front. Quality was a C, the lines are not as crisp as they should be. I asked the painters to let me know when they had some color on the wall so I would look at it to make sure I liked the color. When I went into the basement they had most of the first coat on all the walls. No communication. The painters also rushed the job to finish the project. I do not recommend this company.

Went very well. Of all the estimates -- this was, by far, the lowest. Be aware -- the company hires subcontractors. Ours did a great job and was very responsive to our needs. The company provided a paint consultant which was excellent. We would have liked to see the initial sales person or someone from CertaPro again -- that was our only concern. Otherwise, very good.

Poor workmanship. Had to call them back to repaint 2 rooms.

Terrible - wouldn't recommend - 1. called and left message and they didn't return call. 2. called back and made an appointment and rather than showing up at the appointment time, they decided to show up earlier and decided to quote what they thought I needed to have done versus meeting me at the agreed upon time so that I could explain what I wanted. Didn't even bother to call to let me know. I waited 20 minutes for them at my appointment time and called them to find out why they didn't show up. The main office didn't know why the person didn't show up and couldn't get a hold of him either. I was finally able to get a hold of the person who was to meet me and he explained he decided it wasn't important to meet me at the appointment time. I explained that I was the most important part of the process since I was determining who I was hiring for the job and that he just lost my business.

Everything went smoothly. They gave approximate times as to when they could get started, which they stuck to. The painting took three days to complete, which is what we were told when given the proposal. The color consultant was friendly and professional. I had no contact with the power washer. I was told that he would show up one day. When I got home from work, I could tell he had been here.

Quote was fair, work was scheduled effectively, painters were professional and kind. I was satisfied.

The salesman was wonderful. He showed up on time, and gave us a good price, using a discount from a mailer.The painters were supposed to start on a Friday morning. No one showed up. I called the salesman in the afternoon, and he finally, after an hour, was able to contact the crew, who had decided to do another job instead. It was too late to do anything that day, but the crew promised to show up on Saturday morning to do the power-washing. Finally, around noon, ONE guy showed up, the leader of the crew. He did the power-washing. Not as thoroughly as promised, but it looked okay. The next Monday was a holiday, and the crew leader asked if they could make up for the lost day by working on the holiday. I said it would be fine. Monday, no one showed up again. I tried calling the office, and the salesman, but it was a holiday, so no answer. I finally called the crew leader, who was Mexican and spoke English rather poorly. I asked why he hadn't shown up, and he replied that no one wanted to work because it was a holiday!!! I asked why he didn't call and tell me, he had no answer. They showed up the next day. The crew leader asked if he should paint the garage door, even though it wasn't in the contract. I said no. I had to run out for something. When I returned, he had painted part of the door to show me that the new color was a bit different than the old color, and asked if he should finish painting it. I said that since he had started it, despite my telling him not to, he had to finish it. I called the salesman and explained the problem, and he said I wouldn't be charged for the door, and apologized for the other problems. When they were almost finished, the crew leader asked me to sign a paper saying that they were finished, and that I was satisfied. I refused because they weren't finished. He hounded me, until I called the salesman again, and he told me that I didn't have to sign. I refused to pay the crew, I wanted to pay with a credit card, directly to the company. He wasn't happy, but left. The next day I called the salesman and paid. A few days later, I called again, because they had done a bad job of caulking around one door, and the paint was peeling off. The salesman promised to send one of their inspectors out. Instead, the crew leader who had done the bad job showed up, and said that the paint was peeling because the original paint job had been done badly, and the original paint was peeling off. He fixed it. I called to complain again, but no one ever called back to apologize or explain. I would NEVER use this company again, or recommend them!

Salesman was very prompt, courteous and professional. Price for ceiling was significant part of price as ceiling was up to 20' high and would require scaffolding. Prior to painting, we met with Certapro's interior designer who help us select a color scheme. She was fantastic. The job was to take 2 days. Paint had not been ordered in advance so the ceiling was the only thing painted first day. Contractor was hoping to bring additional help for second day but that didn't happen. So, two guys worked very hard to complete the job on the second day. Unfortunately, their errors became increasing obvious over the coming weeks and months. Issues included: 1) lack of coverage along ceiling edges and around ceiling fixtures. Scaffolding was not used per bid 2) "skippers" throughout 3) corner patch work that cracked again after short period of time 4) missed holes that should have been patched. This was my first experience with professional painters. They did a lot of work in a short amount of time. Unfortunately, it will need redone much too soon.

Landon was quite helpful with the estimate and evaluating what needed to be done. Certapro offers/recommends a free professional designer consult to pick Sherwin Williams paint colors (big plus). Landon explained that the designer would relay the correct color scheme to Certapro. The design consult was an excellent experience and the color scheme chosen was quite different than I was planning. The person to repair the wood came to evaluated the decayed areas and provided an estimate. Originally I asked for them to replace window sills, but then decided to replace the windows, so I called Landon & the contractor to change the work order. The contractor came while I was away to replace decayed areas. When I got home areas that were not supposed to be replaced were replaced and there were a couple of decayed areas that were untouched. Landon arranged for him to return and replace the remaining areas. The day after power washing the painting crew showed up by 7:30am. Since I had the designer consult I did not check out the paint colors and placement. After they had left I went out to see how it looked and the colors were incorrect! Once again all I had to do was to call Landon & the next morning the painters had the correct paint. I went over the colors and placement to double check, all was correct. Although I watched the painters closely, with only one speaking english, I found that a few misunderstandings remained. These were fixed right away, however. I am happy with the service received. I did change the work order between initial order and completion, so some mistakes are understandable. Certapro corrected everything promptly without question. The only complaint I really have is i found paint on the family room rug from when the door was painted and the entry rug was pulled over it. I suggest to double check that everyone is clear with your expectations every time they arrive, make sure the paint scheme is understood and periodically reassess the progress. I would recommend and use Certapro again.

Things went good. The work was good. The workers were good. They got done on time.

CertaPro was an unqualified pleasure to work with from beginning to end of the project. Their estimator, Landon, was prompt, pleasant and a terrific communicator who managed to give us not only our most competitive bid, but also a great sense of competence and understanding of the work and our concerns about the job. Througout the project, which was complicated by colder temperatures than we expected, we dealt with a very nice woman, Hannah, at the CertaPro offices who kept us constantly apprised of where we were in the schedule and what we could expect at each stage of our job. Hannah was fast and friendly in emails. I don't think we ever waited more than a few hours for a response from her. We were a bit baffled about paint colors, so we availed ourselves of CertaPro's free design consult, and the designer Diana, helped us choose a great pallet, which made our new house look terrific. Wayne did our carpentry repairs went without a hitch and actually ended up costing less than Landon's estimate, so CertaPro actually gave us a price adjustment to the work. I was shocked that they didn't try to just turn that overage into extra profit. That's the sort of thing that really gives you confidence in the people you're working with. Our painter, Jerry, was very well organized and professional. Unlike many of the painters we've dealt with, Jerry is a great communicator, always willing to tell you what's going on, what he needs from you (usually very little) and what his next steps and schedules will be. The pain store made a small error on our door color, but Jerry dealt with that setback with no problem. We didn't even have to think about it, he just fixed it. The painters left the job site immaculate and did not miss a single detail in any facet of the job. I've had some bad experiences with some very popular local painting businesses and was skeptical about using a franchise, but CertaPro runs their shop like a family business with pride and accountability. I could not be more impressed.

Certapro does an incredible job. The crew was wonderful. The leader of the crew was informative, patient with my questions, and easy to communicate with. They cleaned up well and did fantastic work!

This is the first company I have hired after joining Angie’s List. I chose them after interviewing six or seven companies for the job. I liked the individuality they provided with explaining every single detail prior to the work being done. The job was estimated to take a couple of weeks. However, the job took about a month due to the horrid weather. They set up each time they had to come back due to the weather. Over a period of three days, they had their carpenter come in to complete the carpentry work and then a crew to prep the house prior to painting. They were very organized. I liked the steps that they took to complete the work and I was quite impressed. I have never had anyone who has been so conscientious about getting the exterior of my home completed so perfectly. The crew was great and they were very considerate. I appreciated their perseverance. Dave, the owner, was very professional. It was tough job to do and they did great! This was the best exterior painting job I have ever had done. They did a wonderful job.

Everything was good. They did the work in a timely manner. They were punctual and professional. The work took a day to complete.

It took a week for them do and they did a good job. They cleaned up at the end of each day. The only issue was that some of our windows were painted shut.
