All Around Joe LLC

Joe and I set this up by email and kept in touch until weather permitted; the first day he came with the two guys assigned to the job, to make sure it was what he thought, and they got right to work. It was a two day job and the second day only one fellow was needed to finish. They worked diligently, efficiently and neatly. Of course, the price I noted above included materials ($160) and I approved what they suggested as "the best" for a long life outside. This has been my second experience with them and the first was excellent also. It's easy to communicate with them because they can anticipate what your thinking or concerned about.

Honest, reliable, hardworking, accountable...these are just a few of the words that describe Joe and his team. To put things in perspective, I am more than happy to give Joe the keys to my house knowing that whatever the task at hand is he will complete it on time, on budget and leave the house cleaner than when he started! We hired Joe to remodel a large home in Hyde Park that had something partially done to each and every room. What was needed was a complete remodel of the entire house from head to toe. We met with Joe and instantly knew he was the guy. He wanted the job, wanted to put his touches on it and restore the home back to glory. Joe put together an initial estimate and stayed within budget the entire time. Every time an issue came up Joe was upfront with it and offered numerous suggestions on how to remedy. He always found the most cost and time effective solution to each problem we encountered. We gave Joe a time line and he stuck to it, letting us know where he was ahead and behind on schedule. We would find Joe working with his crew on Saturdays and Sundays to ensure he completed the job on time. Joe also made it a point to introduce us to all his crew and ensure we were comfortable with everyone in the house. He explained the work he was doing, why it needed to be done and made my wife and I extremely comfortable with everything. Joe truly has a contact list of everyone that you need to get any job around your house done. Windows, flooring, painting, electrical, HVAC...if Joe does not do it himself he knows the right person for the job. Would I hire Joe again...in a heartbeat. I have given Joe to numerous coworkers as well as neighbors and he has gone on to do large projects (bathrooms, kitchens, basements) with them and they have experienced the same success we have. Any project big or small I highly encourage anyone to contact Joe. Without a question, my next home project will only be completed by Joe and his crew.

This is going to sound weird. When I moved here I brought a toilet with me as I had a partial knee replacement and this is much higher. Now that I'm renting, I'll have to re-hired Joe to remove it when I move!

The provider was punctual, informatiative. He cleaned up after himself. It was a very good experience.

Brandon was very efficient in use of the 3-hr period I had signed up for thru Angie's list. He was on time and he was very professional. Despite the cold weather (about 35-40 degrees) outside he properly installed the new mailbox. I think the hourly rate is a steep in view of the fact that a few years ago I was paying a handyman $25 an hour. As far as quality of the job I would not hesitate to hire this company again but I would try to negotiate a lower rate per hour.

Joe came when he said he would to give us a bid. He texted to let me know that he was coming, and continued to give me text updates throughout the work he and a helper did, which I appreciated. He was punctual, coming when he said he'd be there, and completed the work and cleaned up any mess so well I didn't have to do anything after he left except put the furniture I'd moved back where it all belonged. There were a couple of issues he found when he got into the work that he consulted with me and my husband about before proceeding. Although he had to do more work and used more supplies than we originally contracted with him, he gave us the price he'd originally quoted - which was a very good price to begin with - and did so graciously and with good-nature. The door and the window look wonderful, and my husband and I are both very pleased with the work that Joe and Brandon did.

The service and the results are amazing! We had so many things around the house that needed attention, but neither of us has the skill to do the work. All Around Joe arrived exactly on time, went through my list with me so that we could prioritize the top items to complete within the scheduled 3 hours, and then got to work. I was so impressed by how much he was able to accomplish in such a short period of time. I will definitely use All Around Joe again - I'm working on my "to do" list now!

Joe and two assistants answered my urgent call to get a ramp installed at my home as soon as possible. Joe deserves every award he has received. He is not only a top-notch carpenter but also a very understanding and caring person. We'll always think of Joe first whenever we have any job that needs to be done at our house. The work began at 9:30 and was completed before noon. They had lots of work to accomplish in this short amount of time, and it was done professionally and well. Many, many thank you's to Joe for a fine job.

They ended up doing a pretty good job. They only sent one person at a time so the job lingered on a while but they were reliable and always showed up. My refrigerator was leaking but they were unable to fix that, everything else went well.

The gentleman arrived on time, was very pleasant, and I believe very honest. He told me he couldn’t guarantee that what he thought might work would resolve the problem. I told him I understood and to go ahead and try it. I thought it would take a lot longer so I really didn’t have much work for him. I had him hand a few things for me and he made a small stand for my sump pump back up battery! He didn’t have to do that. I was very pleased with him, his work ethic, and his manners. The gutter problem remains, but I am not upset because he told me that it might not work. If I need handyman services again I would definitely contact them again.

Joe Wood called two days after buying the deal on Angie's list. He accommodated my needs for that saturday. He sent a very nice fellow to review and start my list. Bottom line is Joe has more business than he can handle. He came to the house to review the work and we engaged in a discussion about several things we needed done at the house we asked him for bids on several items. He never got back to us and gave several excuses as to why I did not receive the bids. It always took several days for him to return my email. Even more concerning, he charged a total of around $700.00 for supplies to build one shelf in my closet, was not able to finish the job because there was another job booked and said they would hold onto the wood until they finished the job. After asking for it a couple of times it still has not been returned, after he said he would. Joe is good on the sell, but falls significantly short on the delivery, he has several projects going on at the same time too much to be an "all around Joe"

The service went well. They have done a number of jobs for me. Two technicians came out for the flooring and one technician came out to install the toilet. They completed the job in about a day and a half as promised. They were able to lay the flooring evenly without cracking any tiles. Their pricing is fair and they do nice work. They will do exactly what they say they will. If there are ever any issues they are happy to come right out to fix it.

The service turned out great. They were prompt and quick. They did an excellent job.

He called to reschedule because he thought it may rain which it didn’t end up doing. I had to ask them to redo certain areas because they missed them. The service was barely satisfactory. I would not use them again.

It turned out just fine. We had him do some touching up of various spots in the house. I had no problems with scheduling.

Provider was professional and thoughtful throughout. After each fix, he asked what else I needed to be done. He was an absolute pleasure to deal with (I wish I could remember his name.). Since I had prepaid provider for service I no longer needed, he offset the cost of services provided against what I had prepaid and will be sending a refund. I would certainly recommend this provider to anyone who might need his services.

He secured the house by changing the locks and installed a lock box. He did a fine job.

He was punctual. He communicated well and did quality work. He followed up when I reached out about additional services including a bathroom remodel.

Bought a "BIG DEAL" to install a ceiling fan for $85 on July 20, 2014. Have talked to him several times an he has never committed to a date when he can install our ceiling fan. Summer is over now!! When Angie's List contacted him on our behalf he just said "this is a busy time for him". What about his commitments? Never buy a "BIG DEAL". You'll just get screwed!!!!

Brandon arrived on time and went about his work in a professional manner. He was very particular and detailed about what he was doing! He had to came back and finish installing 3 doors, because the wrong doors were ordered. He then finished the job. Would hire them again in a minute!!!

Joe did excellent work, was very timely and responsive. He kept us informed through the process and we will use him again.

First a big thank you to Joe for squeezing us in. We made a last minute decision to update this bathroom before laying new carpet in our condo. We were looking for someone to do the job with only a two week notice. Joe was very accommodating and worked with us to get the job done on time. The men from his team did an awesome job, were very careful to prevent damage to new bathtub, and left the job site very clean. It was a three day three step process and they showed up exactly as planned each day. I would definitely hire them again and would recommend them to others.
