All Around Joe LLC

The job couldn't be completed because I don't think he totally understood what the job entailed. So, I am going to have to call somebody else to complete it. I don't think he understood what materials were needed since he just came out to the job and started when he came out instead of coming out beforehand and seeing what was going to be needed for the job. He did what he could with what he had but if I had to do it again I would just go through another contractor to complete. The cable was disconnected so I had to call the cable people to come out and fix the cable the way it's supposed to be fixed. The cable wouldn't have worked the way he had it wired.

Everything went great! He was very professional and did a great job! We've had other handymen do jobs before, but these guys are the best!

The workman showed up on time, worked in a neat and professional manner, and did a good job. I'd purchased a deal for three hours, and at 2 hours 30 minutes, the final item on my list required some materials. Rather than have him use the thirty minutes to go out and get them, I asked if I could hire him again (as I knew I'd have other items on my list by the time he returned), pick up the materials myself, and apply those 30 minutes to the upcoming work session. He said that would be fine. When I emailed to make the second appointment for what would likely be another three hours of work, the owner told me I couldn't apply those thirty minutes to the next work session and he was "sorry the employee misled me." Very shortsighted of him as I usually hire a handyman several times a year and I'd been happy with the work; I was contacting him with probably another three hours of work only a month after the first session. We just moved into this 100-year-old house, and there's a ton of work to do. So because he wanted to stick to the exact wording on the deal and blame his employee, he lost a repeat customer.

After a few miscommunications, the overall experience was good in that the owner provided a fair resolution.

All Around Joe,LLC is an excellent company based upon our experience with John. My husband and I are very discriminating and have a penchant to be picky. John met all our expectations and even beat them! This is an awesome company and I doubt anyone could be disappointed.

Prompt, courteous, professional

John was great. He was on time and did an excellent job trimming the doors and patching the drywall. He cleaned up when he was done. I strongly recommend All Around Joe.

Came and gave us estimate for installation. Along with another worker, installed the doors. Also, fixed the trim around a window, all for a very reasonable price. We're also having him come and install an Ipe deck that was destroyed by a falling tree. (a $12,000 job - I will review after the work is done) The doors look and work beautifully. Everything was explained to me after the job was done, and everything was cleaned up like nobody had been there.

They fit me into their busy schedule the day after I called. John was fast and efficient. I really appreciate this company and will be using them again in the future!

Great experience. The provider (John) showed up on the scheduled morning and was very open to all of the jobs I needed done. I had pre-paid for 6 hours labor. Materials that were needed were extra but nominal and he went to the store to pick them up. The planned tasks that were accomplished included fix drywall in a small area in basement ceiling; re-mortar a brick that had been knocked off retaining wall; replace rotten piece of wood on back of house; replace latches on fence gate; fix a squeaky lazy-susan, and straighten bird feeder. He focused on the tasks and there was time left for him to replace several boards in the landscaping steps. You never know what you'll get when you buy a pre-paid deal but this worked out extremely well and I would definitely call them again in the future.

Business can't even communicate or set up an appointment. Expect that business is very unreliable and heaven forbid they did something wrong that you had to contact them.

Everything went great and my parents couldn't be happier. Joe went to the store to purchase the supplies needed. Dug the post hole, set the concrete and installed the birdhouse. My parents would like to have him back sometime for additional projects.

They were excellent. The guy was just very friendly, knowledgeable and he did a good job.

Everything went well. There was one surprise when the dropped ceiling was removed. They were many wires (TV cable, security and phone wires) that were unorganized and not easily identified. This required additional work to organize the wires and install fir stripping to accommodate the wires which added an additional day to the work schedule. The workers were on time each day and very polite. They put plastic down on the floor and covered the.return heating vents and the entrance doors to insure the work dust would not enter the rest of the house. At the end of the project they cleaned everything up to our satisfaction.

This was just an average experience. After purchasing the $149/ 3 hours Angie's List special, I sent the company a list of items I needed done, as requested. In that list I described the first priority of hanging an interior door. I explained that the door did not have hinge mortises or lock set holes and that the door frame did not have mortises either. Joe sent a very nice young man out to work on the list, but, unfortunately, the person who came out did not have the skills to cut the mortises and hang the door. I took a 1/2 day of vacation to be there, so my wife would not feel uncomfortable--only to find out that Joe himself would have to reschedule the appointment for another day. We did reschedule, and this time Joe and the same worker showed up together. Joe was able to install the door, but a couple of things flagged my attention. First, Joe mentioned that because the two of them were there together, the amount of time they would spend would be reduced from the 3 hours. He also said he wanted the other fellow there to learn how to do this kind of work in the future. If Joe were hanging the door and the other fellow was doing something else on my list, then 1.5 hours on site makes sense. But I felt like I was paying for the training of his employee. Second, Joe mentioned that cutting mortises and hanging this door wasn't really what the Angie's List deal was intended to cover. He said that it was for more manual labor kind of stuff or painting. Nothing like that was mentioned in the ad and was not brought up when I sent the list of items to be done. It wasn't mentioned on the first failed appointment. If this deal were only for manual labor/yard clean up, etc, then $50 an hour is extremely expensive. This was supposed to be for a skilled handyman. The door was hung (nothing else was done) and looks nice and works as it should. Kind of expensive for what got accomplished, I think. Constructive criticism: 1) All around Joe did not read the list of items I sent, or, at least did not match the work requirements with the right skill set, resulting in a waste of an appointment and my time and vacation. 2) All around Joe should train his workers on his time rather than on my dime. 3) All around Joe should make clear in the Angie's list ad that the $149/3 hours is for manual labor, less skilled kind of work. I kind of felt like Joe believed I was taking advantage of him--requesting 3 hours of skilled handyman work--which felt weird when I was feeling a little taken advantage of myself. Again--an average experience.

Although it took a while to arrange the service, I was pleased with the job done. He was professional and efficient and the work was done well.

When Joe first came to bid the job, I appreciated that he was asking questions, sharing ideas, etc. You could tell he was thinking about things in more detail than I saw w/ others that bid the job. I chose Joe in part because I like working directly with the person doing the work, versus hiring a general contracting company that just subs things out. Joe has a few employees that provide assistance, but he was on site 99% of the time and he was the guy doing the critical tasks. Joe did sub out the electrical work for my job, which was my preference. But he owned that relationship and made sure things were done to our satisfaction. Our home is a difficult one. It's 110+ years old, which means walls are wavy, floors are crooked, etc.. This required extra effort and Joe invested that effort. I'm a detail oriented person myself. And I felt like Joe did a good job paying attention to details. He read my personality and was quick to call me in for consultation when there were decisions to be made. But I also think if I had been a hands off type of guy, he would have done great just making the decisions himself and delivering a great end product. Joe was always punctual and showed up when he said he'd show up. If he was going to be 10 minutes late, he texted me to let me know. Joe left the job site in clean and orderly condition at the end of each day. When there were small problems, he took ownership. For example, one of the original, natural wood door casing was a little scratched up after the demolition work. I pointed it out to Joe and he didn't hesitate to agree to make necessary repairs. Would definitely recommend Joe and hire him again.

Don't remember the name of young man who did the work. He was very polite, worked quickly and efficiently. Did great work.

Joe and an employee showed up on time for an estimate. Both of them were very nice and very patient listening to our needs. Two of his employees did the work and did a fine job.I wish I could remember the tall thin employees name because he came back on the second and third day on his own and worked so hard I want to pay him a compliment. Thanks!

John arrived on time. He told me step by step each how he planned to repair the patio door. His work was flawless. The door and trim looked new when he was finished. The repair area was clean and swept before John left. John was helpful and professional. This company is A++++

Joe was great to work with, we contacted him and he was prompt and responsive. We needed to have our old shower completely gutted so that our tile person could replace all the tile on the walls and floor. They efficiently removed shower door, tiles, toilet and fixtures and carted everything away that we didn't want to keep. The removed the door for me so that I could paint it and they were very careful in removing the baseboards, so that I can paint and reuse the parts. Darren and John were the contractors and they showed up on time, worked steadily and kept the area clean as they went along.

when the they finally called back, they told us that they have all the work they need for now and it could be up to 3 months before they could help us.

It went well initially but there were problems where the roof was lifted to put in the siding which resulted in leaks in the roof. The roof was pretty new and there was no reason the roof should have leaked otherwhise. When it became clear to me that the cause was improper siding installation despite our long term relationship Joe was unwilling to contribute anything to the repairs or the resulting moisture damage. After tooing and frowing I ended having to pay for correcting damage and am still on the hook for the moisture damage.

Easy to work with. On time and worked quickly. Quality was good. Cleaned up nicely and handled the whole job taking it out of my hands. I've hired them again to do some additional work.....

Extremely happy with the end result. Joe and team were very polite, responsive, and know what they are doing. The project started and finished on time, and Joe was as flexible as possible to work around our schedule. Joe takes pride in his work and doesn't cut any corners.
