KRAFTMAID CABINETRY INC

This was a horrible experience!! We gutted our kitchen in mid February. The cabinets were to arrive and be installed in mid March. They did arrive on time but in horrible condition. I contacted Lowes, where I purchased them, and they were in absolute agreeance with me. They contacted Kraft Maid. The Kraft Maid representative took 2 weeks to contact me. The Kraft Maid district representative came to my home and said "this isn't as bad as I thought." He did however state that every door and every drawer had to be replaced. He also said he would send a repairman to work on the fluted trim pieces and make them look perfect. I agreed to his offer. 1 week later the repairman came with a marker and an aerosol can and "repaired" the pieces in my garage. The repair work was unacceptable. The areas of repair were very obvious. The finish actually rubbed off on my hand. At this time we once again I contacted the district manager. He stated that "this is the best work we can do". I was shocked to know that I just spent so much money on cabinets and the company does not take pride in their product at all. I advised Lowes that I wanted a refund of my money. Lowes did refund my money. I then purchased Schuler cabinets. Schuler has a much better product and have been great to work with. Again, this was a horrible experience due to Kraft Maid. I did not get a finished, workable kitchen until June. I would not recommend Kraft Maid cabinetry to anyone. They have very poor quality and customer service.

Everything came in ahead of schedule, but when I requested a sample of the cabinet door wood/color - they were unable to provide me with even a small piece of the wood/color.

THE CABINETS ARE NICELY MADE. SOME PARTS HAD DAMAGE AND THEY REPLACED THEM WITHOUT QUESTION. THEY WERE DELIVERED ON THE DATE AS PROMISED BUT OUTSIDE THE HOURS CONFIRMED. THE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND DELIVERY STAFF WAS VERY FRIENDLY.
