Description of Work: We were moving our mom from Indiana to Chardon, Ohio to Maplewood at Heatherhill Assisted Living. I spoke with Sharon at North Coast Senior Moving and she took care of the move. Their team went to Indiana, packed all of mom's stuff and delivered and set up her new apartment at Maplewood. They made sure everything was carefully handled as if it was their own belongings and made sure the set up and placement of all items and furniture was where we wanted it to make sure it would work for mom. Sharon even followed up a few days later to make sure everything was ok. Couldn't have asked for a more considerate team.

+ -1 moreSharon Ward is incredibly helpful and reassuring person and explained the process really well. She had great suggestions and advised us regarding how tho handle the left over furniture and items we were leaving behind. Thanks to their great help we were not stressed by this move and felt secure at all time. Their fee was very reasonable considering the work done. No extra charges for packing material that they used very deliberately making sure that all the objects arrived safely to the destination. I have nothing but gratitude and praise for Sharon and Ron and their coworkers.
Description of Work: They assessed the job, and 3 weeks later packed some of our furniture, books, clothing and art. into the pod. Four days later the returned and cleaned the leased apartment while we were already on out way to Florida.

Description of Work: Moved our Mom from one assisted living facility to another facility. They were caring and compassionate about the situation and thorough and careful with her furniture. Would definitely use them again - they were wonderful to work with and addressed all our concerns.

+ -1 moreWOW just WOW ! A friend recommended I use a moving company that specializes in moving seniors. I thought this was unnecessary as I had just some basic furniture and clothing to get moved for my mother (moving from large condo to Assisted Living). So I thought I'd give them a call and see what they had to say. From the first contact (phone call) to the actual move, I just knew I made the right decision. Since they specialize in moving seniors, they were familiar with all the local assisted living and nursing homes in the area. They knew how much furniture would fit into the unit my mother was moving into. They helped in EVERY way possible, and were so kind and genuine. They helped me arrange the furniture in the best way for my mother. I appreciated all of their knowledge and suggestions. They made the whole move so much easier for me, and my mother. I would not hesitate to use them again. If you have to move a senior loved onto into a new residence, this is the company to call !!!

+ -1 moreI have hired movers several times in the past 20+ years, but now I'm thankful that I'm old enough to hire Northcoast Senior Movers the next time I plan to move. They were fantastic and in the long run I believe they saved me money in addition to a lot of time and trouble. My mother moved into a nursing facility and we had to clean out her apartment. I was quoted a price of $400 over the phone just based upon my description of what needed to be done. There were many things that my sister and I thought we would have to take care of once they moved out the furniture, but once they got there we were told and quot;we can do that!and quot; to just about everything. The extra $100 it cost over the estimate was well worth it! Among the things that were to be brought to my home, they showed me that one piece of furniture that looked fine was more suited for the dumpster which I hadn't noticed until they pointed it out. Then, to my surprise, the water department picks this same day to start digging in front of my house. When the movers got here, they had to bring my furniture in from 4 houses down the street. They did so efficiently and without complaint. They were the best people I've ever dealt with and exude a positive can-do attitude. I also felt better knowing that many of my mother's items would be donated rather than just disposed of. I am looking forward to the day I can move again because I will not even consider checking with any other moving company.
Description of Work: Removed all furniture and other items from my mother's apartment and brought some items to my home. They also delivered an item to a friend's house on their way to mine. They disposed of or donated the remaining items.

Description of Work: Moving from a beautiful home that my wife and I have shared for 40 years into Breckenridge Village retirement community is daunting to say the least. But to have to make a double move, first into a rental unit and a few months later into a permanent apartment is even more unnerving. Yet, Ron and Sharon Ward of Northcoast Senior Moving did a superlative job of facilitating both moves, and did it with a positive spirit and a sense of humor that actually helped to make the two moves enjoyable. Clearly, they have the personalities that are perfectly matched to the tasks of helping older persons (which of course excludes us because we are only in our late 70s) deal with the physical and emotional aspects of the moves.

Description of Work: Northcoast Senior Moving was prompt in arriving. First labeling what was to be moved, since it was a shared living space in a senior living facility. Packing was done while others of the team moved the furniture. The company was able and willing to drop off donated items that were no longer wanted, and storing the rest in their own facilities for a reasonable fee till the remaining could be distributed to the family of the deceased. Over the last 3 years our family has used their services 3 times. Each time they were consistent in their timeliness of service, professionalism and sensitivity.

+ -1 moreIt was done quickly. They were fast, taking care with all my items. Helping with the one room we did not get a chance to finish packing. Dusted, then wrapped in plastic all items, but boxes. Then unwrapped and set up many items for me. Over all they were wonderful. It made the move fast and less stress.
Description of Work: Dusted, packed, loaded, unloaded and helped with some the unpacking. Removed a piano and desposed of it.

+ -1 moreNorth Coast Senior Moving moved my Mom from her house to her apartment and helped pack part of the house. The services were outstanding. Everything was completed as promised. Ron and Sharon are delightful folks and the young men who work for them were also terrific.

+ -1 moreThe owners (Sharon and Ron) of this company did an outstanding job from start to finish. I was completely satisfied with all aspects of the moves and I don't say that very often about many service providers. Sharon and Ron are very professional and are very keen to make sure that everything is just like they promised and that the customer is satisfied. I'd use them again in a heart beat and can confidently recommend them to anyone else.
Description of Work: This company specializes in moving senior citizens home furnishings from a larger residence (home) to smaller accommodations such as a retirement apt or assisted living nursing home and such. This company moved part of my mother-in-law's home furnishings to my house and some of her furnishings to a retirement apt.
