LASKO AND OHIO LAWN IRRIGATION

Called and set up an appointment with Mike Mastrodonato on April 1st. Spent more than 30 minutes with Mike and he explained what would be done and where all of the equipment would go. He made sure that he had my email address and indicated that he would prepare an estimate and send it to me. I have yet to receive the estimate. I called Lasko & Ohio in early June and requested a formal proposal and was told that she would give the request to Mike. Here it is June 16th and nothing from Lasko & Ohio. I understand that this is a very busy season for lawn irrigation systems, but Lasko & Ohio took over half an hour of my time explaining things, then just dropped the ball. If they do this with an estimate, what will they do if they get the project. Not happy with the disrespect shown by Lasko & Ohio.

Not hired yet and it initially took 2 weeks for them to respond after multiple attempts from me through Angies List and directly. They are very busy but I would have appreciated a call to let me know they are overbooked and to expect a call soon. After they called me back, it's been great. Kevin has been super helpful and knowledgeable. Their proposal was very thorough and easy to understand. Instead of a quick pow wow, he explained where and how things work. He explained where other companies would shortcut steps, they will do it right. I can see why they have been so successful over the years. They deserve an "A" except for the initial delayed response moves them to a "B". After the delay, they have been an A++. I recommend them. There is a premium to pay with Lasko but they're worth it and you'll be happy you did.

Went well basic tune up

I h ave used Lasko on and off for a few years, mostly because I couldn't find anyone I liked better. However, each time someone has come out to fix something, we identify the various issues. This year alone we have had to have people out 4 times to fix and re-fix issues. They may be good with installing new systems but seem to have difficulties troubleshooting and addressing perviously existing systems. Each time my bill was @ $185

I prepaid $180.00 to cover 2016 lawn irrigation system spring start up and fall close down. After being told that no one was home when they stopped this spring (not true) and that they left a hang tag indicating that they had been there (also not true) I was given a date in mid-June to get my system started! I finally gave up trying to get them to the house and asked for a refund. I was told that I was too late in the season for a refund and they would have the owner call me. He never did even though I called multiple times. I finally gave up on Lasko and hired a different irrigation company to start my system because expensive shrubs and perennials were starting to die.

WONDERFUL The crew worked so hard and they worked so well together. The crew took pride in their work. What a team!!!! We are so happy with the work that was done. We would recommend them to anyone who needs work done.

They were so prompt and they didn't overcharge. They took care of it. I couldn't complain about their pricing. They were very good and I was satisfied. I have a little problem and they're supposed to come back and take a look at it.

We have a emergency in which we need them to come out and fix a problem and they did not call me back . I called them back and they told me that they could not help me until an appointment came up which was booking several weeks out.

I've used them for several years, and the owner was just really responsive. Once they give you a quote, and say that they're going to start something, they'll really follow through. I haven't had any problems with them at all. They did an excellent job on everything.

Lasso / Ohio replaced a 25-year old in-ground 9-zone sprinkler valve structure. Three zones were not functional. The valve structure was partially located under a deck and never had proper sprinkler valve covers. The work was performed very professionally, quickly and completely. I would not hesitate to recommend this service provider for work on an in-ground sprinkler system. They are thorough; they listen; they are responsive and hard-working. Our in-ground sprinkler valve configuration never looked as professionally installed as it does now. They thoroughly tested all zones and then walked us thru a test to ensure that we were satisfied. Our in-ground system has never worked so well.

I called three separate times over three weeks requesting a sales agent contact me as I needed a quote for a sprinkler system on 1.6 acres. Finally, one afternoon I receive a knock on the door and its a Lasko and Ohio sales person stating that they had my phone number incorrectly transferred to his paper so he decided to just drop by. He said he would walk the property and get back with me. I had no input into what I wanted watered or not. He left about 15 minutes later. Around 2 weeks after his arrival, I received an email with the quote of $14,000.00. When I emailed him back with questions, he responded in an unprofessional manner. I decided at that point, these were not the folks for me.

I contacted Lasko to get an in-ground sprinkler system installed for my yard, which is approximately 0.4 acres. They returned my phone call quickly, and we set up a time on 5/29 for Mike to review the services and equipment Lasko could provide. On the day of the appointment, Mike was on time and very courteous. He took the time to walk through Lasko's certifications and products. Mike then walked through my yard to determine the appropriate set up and number of sprinklers for my yard. From my discussion with Mike, it was evident that he is very knowledgable about the industry. He sent me a detailed proposal on 5/31. The proposal was for $4700 and included the following: * Tree lawn: 6-7 Hunter Pro Series Spray Heads, 1 Zone * Main Front Lawn & Right Side of House & Garage: 11-12 Hunter I-20 Rotary Heads, 2-3 Zones * Left Side of Drive & Tree Lawn: 9 Hunter Pro Series Spray Heads, 1 Zone * Back Lawn: 15-16 Hunter I-20 Rotary Heads, 3-4 Zones * Programmable control panel in garage to control each of the zones * Rain sensor I decided to hire Lasko for the job. We scheduled the first installation for 6/19. The first appointment was to run the piping from my basement to the outside, install the control panel, and set up the rain sensor. The installer was very professional and was sure to take his shoes off to avoid tracking dirt throughout my house. Overall, this appointment took a little less than a half day. A little over a week later, I noticed flags in my yard to mark the utilities. Lasko then called later that day to let me know that they would be coming to install the sprinklers that Monday (7/1). The install crew worked for the majority of a day to install the sprinklers. Unfortunately, the crew accidentally cut my electronic pet fence during the installation process. However, they notified me of the error and attempted to fix it. The fence was not fixed correctly, and I called Lasko to notify them of the situation. Mike and another representative from Lasko both called the next business day to apologize and offered to pay for the fix, which I appreciated! With the exception of the pet fence, the installation went smooth. The installers cut and replaced the ground in such a way that you could barely tell that work was done. If the flags were not placed throughout the yard to mark the sprinkler heads, I doubt I would know that such drastic work had been done in my yard! The flags were color-coded so I knew the location of each of the sprinkler zones.Following the installation, I tested out the sprinkler system. The coverage is fantastic, and the control panel is easy to use. I especially like the rain sensor, so I know I won't be wasting money watering my lawn while it is raining. The day after the installation, Lasko called to schedule a walk-through of my sprinkler system with me. Due to my schedule limitations, the walk-through occurred about a week and a half after the installation. During the walk-through, the technicians explained how to work my system and answered all of my questions. They were pleasant and professional. Overall, my experience with Lasko was pleasant. I would do business with them again without hesitation.

The company showed up on the scheduled date(s) and installed an (8) zone irrigation system at my house. The crew members were professional and worked hard, even in the rain. After the project was complete the foreman reviewed the system with me and explained how the system worked. The owner of the company was involved with the project and did everything he said he was going to do when he quoted the job.

A crew of 5 or 6 men under the supervision of a foreman did an excellent job. They made sure that I was 100% satisfied with the placement of the sprinkler heads in relation to the height of plants being watered. They did a fine job.

They are great. They come on time and do their work. They have been great. The person that came was professional, timely, and courteous. I have had no complications with them. I would recommend them to others. I have been using them since I came to this house.

Called into company- explained just bought house and needed someone to come out to provide a solution on how to repair system, etc. I was very clear that we needed someone to come out and provide consultation on what we need to do to repair the system overall, which is extensive, add pumps (as they were missing) and expand the system to reach a new zone, which we currently have 12. They sent out a service person- who seemed to just be looking for the pumps, which made no sense, as we clearly told the appt. person they were not here. Seemed like a "nice" guy, but just couldn't help us. He had to call office as to what to do and then he stated he couldn't help us, but someone from the office would have to call to set up appt. with the right person, who can provide cost estimates, etc. I asked 3 times on how we move forward and will the company be calling me back to schedule. He stated yes. Still waiting and we are close to it being a week later. No one has called to get it going. This would have easily been a $2000- $3000+ project, etc. and we were prepared to do what was necessary. Unfortunately, their nonresponsiveness tells us we need to go elsewhere. Most likely we will just research ourselves, at this point. Not happy about that when we are in peak growing season and I was clear from the get go, what we needed. I'm sure they are very busy, but a phone call- saying we are not interested in assisting would have been far better than what occured. Would have rated an "F" overall, but the service person they sent out, seemed to not have the information I shared with the office intially, and he was punctual and responsive. The office overall seems to have failed. Very disappointing on our end.

They make appointment and keep them on time. I would recommend them to others. I would use them in the future.

I use Lasko to maintain my inground water system. They are reliable to activate and shutdown in the fall and replace any parts that are in need. I have used them for the past several years.

This is an update to a prior post. I have 100% changed my mind on dealing with this company. They installed a beautiful patio however, it constantly holds a ton of water. After calling, 4 times last year and sending several emails, they finally came out to "fix" the problem. Now it holds a ton of water in other spots. I have called several more times with no return phone calls. The last attempt was a week ago to get a quote on landscaping the empty beds around the patio and changing the front beds. I received a call from Kevin and he asked if I would be home that night, he said that either Mike or himself would call me right back and let me know which one was coming.............never got a call back. In the meantime I have found 2 other companies who were more then happy to bid for my business. There is NEVER an excuse for poor customer service.

What a joke this company is. If you didn't have your system installed by them, then they basically don't want your business. Must be nice to have a business model like that!
