Great! I now have much needed additional living space in my home. The finished basement is comfortable and cozy. My brother, nephew who has autism, and his service dog really enjoy the new space to play games, Wii, and watch Cleveland sports on TV each weekend.

I had water damage which was very extensive. I needed a ceiling for the closet and work on the walls. Joe worked hard to ensure the closet was in great shape. In addition I needed a ceiling for my overhang in the kitchen. There was extensive damage to the ceiling of the bay window. Matt worked on the bay window structure which was a terrible mess. Joe and Matt had a big task but they made me feel comfortable while they worked. Matt did a wonderful job putting my new address plaque on the house. Joe made sure the closet and bay looked great before leaving. I am giving them a 10 out of 10 for a job well done because they deserve that and more. I will hire Hurd Home Services again but most of all I cannot say enough about Joe and Matt. They are punctual arriving at the appointed time. In addition Joe and Matt put a tarp in the areas of the work. Joe ensured everything was cleaned after completion of the project.. I appreciated their hard work because many times people say they will do first-rate work but fall short. Joe and Matt did a wonderful job. I feel as if I got a lot of value for my money. Joe from Hurd Home Services is by far and away the best contractor we have ever found. This project was just the latest in a series of work that he has done in our home. We had some water damage to the plaster wall in our bedroom from an ice dam accumulating on our exterior wall last winter. The plaster was crumbling and there was peeling paint. He repaired the wall and now now you can't tell that there was ever anything wrong with it. So far Joe has been able to tackle every project in our home with the utmost craftsmanship, from kitchen/bath, flooring, closets, painting and now plaster repair. He remains the only contractor we trust with our home.

They were prompt, professional, knowledgeable about many things. Driveway hasn't looked this good since I moved in. They did an excellent job. I would definitely use them again and if I decide to add a bathroom to my house, I would use him as my first choice. Joe is a really nice and trustworthy person.

From the estimate to the completion of the project Joe discussed every aspect with me.? He answered all of my questions and explained how the construction was being done.? Each day I knew what was to be accomplished.? During the demolition stage of the project all of the trash and materials were removed the same day. ?The construction area was always clean and neat at the end of the day.? Joe reviewed the work that had been done with me and what the plan was for the next day before leaving each day.? He gave me a 2 week time frame for the job and he completed the work within the specified time.? I am very pleased with the sun room and will definitely use Hurd Home Services for future projects in my home.

Joe and his colleague (sorry I forgot his name) are punctual, respectful and do a great job! They first came out in Feb. 2016 to do light handyman work; install 2 new ceiling fans. I had asked for Joe to give me a quote for some more work for the tub and install a new stairwell ceiling fixture. They did a beautiful job! They are meticulous, detailed and really fair. I am even asking him to help with deck repairs. I am thankful I found someone honest and who cares about their work! He is very knowledgeable, easy to talk to and they do fabulous work!

They are a top notch organization, attentive to the quality of their work, honest, communicative about expectations and results. They arrived on time and were personally invested in providing good service. Our house was very dirty with some difficult moss staining and they wine to great length not just to do the job, but to do it well I will use them again and give them my highest recommendation.

I take some of the responsibility for the experience I had with this professional. I had just worked a double shift; I was really tired and not thinking clearly. The professional arrived early. He told me about how long he would need to pressure wash the house then he started working once I gave him access to water and electricity. I had asked for an estimate for cleaning the gutters as well but he'd forgotten to give me one. Therefore, I reminded him while he was washing the house. As a result, he charged me half of what gutter cleaning normally costs. Here's where the problem started. He said he was finished and asked to show me his concerns. He showed me where I had weak and rotten wood around my windows. That was great. But then he said goodbye and thank you. I felt like something was wrong but I couldn't put my finger on it at the time. I looked so upset that he asked what was wrong. After a good night's sleep, I was able to figure it out. He didn't give me any paperwork or anything else! Every year when I get my gutters cleaned, the other companies give me a garbage bag full of residue from my gutters. This professional had none. I had to ask him if he found anything in them. I have no proof that he actually did the gutters. Also, normally, pressure wash professionals give a description of the treatment process and a list of anything used to protect the house. Not this guy. Lastly, there were a few places that didn't come clean. Overall, the house looks better than it did before this guy came and his price was fair. He was also nice. I'm just used to having detailed records and a bit more customer service. If you are on a budget, go for it! I don't plan to use Hurd again but it's better than nothing at all. Update: Wow! I am amazed at the reply from this contractor! First of all, Angie's list has a billing address for me. That is not the same as the actual address that I use them for and no other contractor has shown up at the wrong address! Second of all, THE "CONTRACTOR" DID NOT SAY, "WE ONLY USE WATER." I could have just used water myself! That was the point of hiring a professional. The house also has not been neglected for 10 plus years. Anyone that knows Cleveland Heights knows this isn't allowed; especially on my street which is apart of Noble Neighbors Neighborhood Watch. He also states that he didn't forget about doing the gutters but then says that I reminded him of doing the gutters. He is admitting to his lies in his own statement. Also, he removed 2 branches not 12 because C & C painters and gutters had just removed them. The only paperwork that I was given was the size of a postcard; it was to complete a review on Angie's list. This is the only "company" from Angie's list without any paperwork. Lastly, I did not take "15 minutes" to get a check. He "forgot" to mention that I handed him a credit card and he said (after staring at it like it was a foreign object), "I'm not equipped to accept those." So, I then went in and came out with a check. He didn't ask me too either so I'm not sure what the wisecrack was about me "forgetting" that I owed him $25. This contractor is offended because of an honest review and now he is insulting me and says he wouldn't return. Wow! I really don't have much proof that he was there the first time.

Very personable and professional. Scheduled the service for a date I had requested. Showed up on time and reviewed the work to be done. One side of the house had some green mold that had built up over several years from nearby vegetation. They got right to work and beautifully cleaned all the vinyl siding for the first and second floor areas including a two car garage. We also had them pressure wash a small back patio, walkway, and front porch area for an additional nominal fee. When they finished, I had to shade my eyes from the sun glare coming off the siding. Very happy with the job they did and at a great price. Would hire them again in a minute.

They arrived on time, were very careful not to make or leave a mess. They did what had to be done and were on their way. I was very pleased with the quality of the service and I plan to have them back to do more door work this spring.

The company was pushy with me to schedule the service because they had big jobs coming up and wanted to get me out of the way.

It went great! Joe and his partner arrived promptly- looking neat and presentable. Canvas sheets were laid down when they arrived to keep my floors clean. They kept to the task at hand and were quiet and polite but we also had a pleasant conversation. They took all debris with them and left clean. I would use them again.

It went amazingly well and I was very impressed. Mr. Hernandez and the other gentleman spread drop cloths on the carpet so that they did not track in snow. They were a few minutes early in spite of the fact that we were in the throes of a major snowstorm. I called him earlier to see if he needed to reschedule but he was already near my home and assured me that they do not take off for weather. I would have totally understood if they were unable to keep the appointment. Mr. Hernandez thoroughly explained every detail of what he did and did not try to sell me a new door. They were in and out in 30 minutes and I was able to leave for work. It was impossible for me to use my living room while this situation was present and I am so appreciative to them for the quick, efficient service. I will call Mr. Hernandez in the future. It was a pleasure doing business with someone so professional.

Joe Hernandez came to give an estimate on carpet and tiling installation in a commercial building. His time on site was very short. He took some measurements. There was no discussion about application techniques as this is an old building that has many difficult aspects. When I stated that I already had carpet picked out and if that carpet could be obtained he stated he does not handle the carpet side, his carpet guy does that. I did not find Joe Hernandez to be very customer friendly. I got other estimates and Hurd Home Services was $4,000.00 higher.

Our old sunroom had skylights that had been leaking and the windows were not the best insulated. After calling about ten contractors for quotes, only about three came out to look at the place, one of which never came back with a quote. That was not the case with Hurd Home Services. Joe came out, looked over the situation and got back to us the next week with a quote. When we had further question, he called back promptly and gave us some good ideas on what we might want to do for this project. He was very cost conscious and wanted to do the best job he could, but pointed out some ways to save money. He was booked up when we finally agreed to sign the contract and go with him, but his crew started on the agreed upon date and stuck with the project until it was complete. He installed eight new windows, vinyl siding, new roof and inside plasterboard and woodwork. He had two helpers with him and Joe did a lot of the work himself and he was very particular about how things were done. They always arrived on time and were quite courteous. Joe told me in the beginning that there was going to be some dust in our adjacent living room, but the way they tarped things off, laid work rugs down each day and vacuumed at the end of every day, I could not a spot of dust! Now that we have seen him in action, we are making up a list of things that we would like Joe to do for us next. Great Company Joe!
