Cohen's Painting & Papering LLC

This is the third time we have had Tim Cohen and his crew at our house for various projects. The first time (October, 2006) they painted the exterior trim of our house and then moved inside to strip wallpaper from the walls in several rooms and halls; then they painted most of our rooms. They were at our house for two and a half weeks and while they were still working we began talking about our next project which was to apply the TechnaBond process to our kitchen counter tops. Cohen Painting returned (February, 2008) to refinish some of our woodwork that needed some help . Again, the work was completed to our satisfaction. We cannot speak highly enough about Cohen Painting. They are very professional, friendly and courteous. They arrived for work (and ready to work) on the days and times we mutually agreed upon and when they left for the day our house was clean (swept and vacuumed). The quality of their work is excellent in every way; we highly recommend Cohen Painting.

They were very efficient. Very knowledgeable about what they were doing. They got the job done all in one day - and no plumbing was disturbed nor damage to the walls. It was a lot less expensive than a lot of the alternatives.

Superb work, attention to detail, courteous. They stuck to their schedule which I appreciated because I was selling this house. I also appreciate that the owner was on site.

My house was built in 1950 and had the original counters that were obviously from that period. I had trouble finding a solution in the beginning First, the cost, I was surprised how much most replacement counters were. The second and largest problem was that my counter was attached to the wall and back splash on two sides. If I had the counter taken out it would have damaged all the surrounding areas. Adding several additional costs. So, when I found Technabond I was skeptical but hopeful. Tim came out and presented us with samples and examples of the process. My wife and I were blown away with everything. Especially the cost difference. It was half the price of anything we had looked at. We signed right up! Within a week Tim and his team came out and in one day we had brand new counters. They look amazing! It was a pleasure to have Technabond in our house. They were quick, clean, and respectful. Now we love to show off and brag about our new counters. Thank you Technabond.

Was fast and efficient. Very neat and clean work. Cleaned up thoroughly at the end of each day and at the end of the job. Very professional. A pleasure to work with.

This experience was excellent from start to finish. I left for work in the morning and when I returned home at the end of the day the basement job was complete. Tim Cohen finished the job in the foyer the next day. The workmanship that this group has is impeccable. Other than a job well done, you would have not known that they were in the house. Clean-up was immaculate. Tim kept me posted on the progress of the jobs throughout both days which was very much appreciated. I highly recommend Cohen's Painting and Papering and I will use them in the future for all my painting needs.

I hired Tim Cohen's company, Technabond, to complete a countertop refinish job at my house on November 23rd. I could not be more pleased with the results. The job was completed in one day and not only was there zero damage to the surrounding walls and back splash; they did not even have to remove the sink or appliances. I left my house in the morning and that evening when I got home the job was complete. The clean-up was immaculate; you could not tell that they had been in the house. It was amazing to see that the countertops looked like I had them completely replaced. The value of the refinishing vs. replacing is unbelievable. When I had the countertops quoted for replacement, the cost was more than double the cost of Technabond. I highly recommend this technique for all your countertop needs.

Tim Cohen also owns a painting business, and he's done painting work for me before. He runs an excellent business with professional communication skills, cleanliness and respect for the space he's working in, and real care for a job well done. The counter tops in our kitchen look much better, and the material he used is solid and attractive. Mr. Cohen was careful to repair chips and scratches prior to laying down the TechnaBond material, and everything came out beautifully.

It did not go at all. We need this job done by Sept. 20th, as we told Mr. Cohen.

Work was done extremely well, very thorough with prep and work. They cleaned everything after they were done and were careful to cover all non-painted surfaces as they worked. We were extremely pleased with the quality of the work and feel we received much more than we expected. A wonderful return on our investment. We will definitely hire them again!

He was to provide us with an estimate within a week of his visit to our house two months ago, and we haven't heard a word from him. He seemed very experienced and trustworthy, but no follow-up is unprofessional and enough to cross him off my list.

End result was great, and I would hire them again. It was a big job that lasted 6 days, so navigating around work in progress was a bit inconvenient for a while, but it was to be expected. Tim and his team are very meticulous and try their best to do a clean job. Nevertheless, a very thin layer of dusty residue from ceiling and wall repair did manage to circumvent the protective coverings and find its way onto our hard wood floors. It was easy to clean with a wet rag, however. Compared to work done by other contractors I have hired in the past, the amount of post-job cleanup that I had to do was minimal. Tim and his team are good guys who are polite, agreeable, and were respectful of our house. On top of that, they did a good job!

These guys are excellent! They were on time every day and when done I hardly knew they were here (except for the work being done.) They did everything the contract called for in the way it was explained and were respectful and courteous. I thought the nine-day job would much more disruptive than it was and by the time it was finished-in SEVEN days-the place looked brand new. I have tried to find something that was overlooked but I can't.

Recently, for 2 weeks, we had Cohen Painting and Papering Co. at our house to paint the outside, remove wallpaper, paint the inside, and repair and refinish some of the woodwork. Tim and his employees were professional, prompt, courteous, and respectful of our home and our time. They were careful to cover everything and cleaned up (even vacuumed) each day before leaving. They were friendly and a pleasure to have around. Tim and his employees did excellent work. We are so pleased and satisfied with everything, beyond our expectations, that we intend to have them come back. We recommend them without hesitation to friends and family.

I called for an estimate on 6/28, the call was returned the next day and Mr. Cohen came the following day, Friday, at 1:30p. I needed wallpaper removed, walls, trim & ceiling painted. I explained that the painter I had scheduled was unable to do the job within my time frame. I had company coming, and needed my guest room painted in a short time (w/in a couple weeks). He assured me when I called for the estimate, as well as when he came to my house, that he could accommodate my short time frame. He also offered to call me directly with the estimate, due to the tight time frame. He never called and never sent a written estimate. Thankfully, a few days later I found someone else to do the job, but I still never received an estimate from Cohens! I wasted part of my day off work to be at home for the estimate. He didn't even have the courtesy to give me an estimate and let me know that he couldn't or didn't want to do the job. A waste of my time and his.

Tim Cohen impressed us from the beginning with his prompt reply to our call. He did a thorough estimate and returned it in a timely manner. He started work when promised, was on time each day for the entire job and finished in a timely manner. His crew was professional, polite and pleasant. They cleaned up every day. Tim inspected the work carefully and was on the site every day. They went beyond expectations in prep work and repairs and never reduced their efforts to do a perfect job. Tim takes great pride in his work. Is easy and reasonable to deal with and is completely trustworthy. He never faltered when encountering the usual surprises in such a big job. We would highly recommend this thorough crafts-person.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Cohen's Painting. Tim and crew arrived on time daily, were professional, and kept the areas extremely clean. All surfaces walked on were tarped (which was important to me), and, at my request, the room was returned to semi-availability each afternoon; nice touch. Tim's estimate was a bit higher than my other two estimates, but he also pointed out things needing attention the other two painting companies overlooked. It's a matter of getting what you pay for; well worth the price because the room was brought to life and looks beautiful! I can't thank Tim enough! I will have him return for any further painting/papering in the house.

Tim has done all of the painting (both inside and outside) of our home. He and his crew are incredibly thorough, punctual, professional and clean. I never worry about paint spills or sloppy work.

Tim did an excellent job. He arrived on-time, completed the work as promised and cleaned up very well. The quality of his work and the price charge were excellent. I would hire Tim again and would recommend him to anyone in need of interior or exterior painting.

The best thing about Cohen's is that they always arrived when they said they would and they were very respectful of the home. They were also extremely clean! I would recommend them to anyone with an older home, because they definitely know how to restore the walls to their original style. If you have corresponding carpentry or electrical work, it's best to have those done prior, as these are not areas with which Cohen's does work, but for painting and related items, they're excellent.

Our experience with Cohen's Painting and Papering was exceptional from start to finish. Tim responded very promptly to our request for an estimate, had the best estimate, and the most thorough plan for our home. He and his team were able to begin work very promptly and they did an outstanding job with preparation and final painting. Tim responded very quickly to calls and emails about the job as it progressed. He was very patient with questions and new ideas as they arose. His pointers on colors and techniques were right on target. Most importantly, our somewhat run-down walls and ceilings now look like new! The surfaces were beautifully repaired and prepared for painting. The finished product is better than I ever could have expected! The work area was kept very clean. Our home and dog were treated with great respect. I will definitely call Tim for any work I may need in the future, and I recommend Cohen's to everyone I can. This was a great experience with wonderful results!

Mr. Cohen was extremely prompt in returning our initial telephone call, and provided an estimate within two days. He was able to schedule the job within a few days thereafter, and completed same in five hours. He did an excellent job and left the room spotless.

Ted and Jim did very nice work. They were very professional. They cleaned up after themselves and completed three rooms in two days. I thought that was really good.

I think they were excellent, very friendly, and trustworthy. They've done a lot of work for us and I know they're good.
