+ 0 moreI phoned him on a Sunday morning when we couldn't use any water in the house without sewage backing up into the laundry room. He came out promptly. He snaked and came up with some tree roots that had grown into the sewer. The blockage was a long way down, so he had to get extensions. He finally got the sewer clear. His price was reasonable for coming out in a hurry on a Sunday.
Description of Work: Got a blocked sewer line cleared.

I already had the materials so Jeff just needed to replace the defective wall switches in my kitchen and bath (3 of them). I also need a flood light replaced with a more decorative fixture at the rear entrance of the house. It remember that it was a very cold day that day and hoped he wouldn't cancel on me because it was such a small job. But he showed up as promised and had the work done in about 35 minutes. Price was great and I was ready for having the family over during the holidays.
Description of Work: Replaced 3 light switches inside and one yard light outside.

+ -1 moreMy sprayer hose split open so I couldn't use the faucet in my kitchen sink. I went to Angie's list and found Clearwater Plumbing, with great reviews and located close to me. I gave them a call and Jeff said he would try and get here that evening around 7:00 PM. He called later to say the job he was on was taking longer than expected and would I be able to wait until the next day around noon. He got here the next day around 11:00 AM and had the sprayer replaced in about 15 minutes. Before he left I asked him to look at a couple of electrical projects I needed done and will have him complete those in a couple of weeks. Jeff is a very nice guy, prompt, and professional and I am very happy that I found him on Angie's list!

+ -1 moreJeff took apart the faucet and found the damaged piece, then went to Lowes to buy the replacement. He then fit it back on the faucet, I asked him to look at the plug, he said it needed to be replaced also, and drove back to Lowes for the part. Then fit that into the bathtub. He was pleasant and professional, and nothing was too much trouble for him. I would never consider having another plumber. I need a new kitchen sink and a new bathroom vanity installed in the next few weeks, Jeff as been asked to return to do this. A real good guy, honest and fair.
Description of Work: I had an annoying drip in my bathtub faucet. I called this company and Jeff was here the following day.

Description of Work: I bought a house for $30k from a friend in Euclid in the late Spring of 2010. Then I had to move to Seattle just 3-4 months later! I rented out the house, and not surprisingly, various issues have come up in the year and a half since then. Except for the time I had to have my front yard dug 10 feet down to replace a sewage pipe, I have relied on Jeff Scott to take care of all my tenants' problems. He has fixed electrical issues, flood related damage to the water heater in the basement, furnace problems, laundry machine outlet problems, and minor things in the bathroom. Each and every time, I have been pleased with Jeff's speed of response and the prices have always been fair or even less than I would expect. Every problem that was fixed has not arisen again. Jeff has also been very cooperative in case my semi-employed tenant was unable pay him cash immediately, and has come back a second time to collect the payment. He has also come by to examine flood related damage and other problems for free. Very highly recommended. Update: September 2012 Jeff has helped me out even more than expected recently. I live in Seattle, but own this house c** disaster in Euclid, Ohio, so his help has been a godsend. Recently, he tore down my garage, and broke up the large concrete slab underneath it (with some help from me when I was in town). This entailed two whole days of labor for Jeff, and for the garage tear-down he had to use several helpers. He still charged me a reasonable $1,000 plus city permit, insurance, bond fees. Jeff has mowed my lawn and cleaned my house after a tenant left, all for free. He has helped me in a time when I have been financially insecure due to having to evict my tenant, paying lawyer fees, and having the city force me to make various major repairs. .

Called him when I had it, and he came the following morning (Saturday) and installed it at 8:00 in the morning so that it fit into my schedule. He pleasantly came in, completed the job, cleaned up after himself and was finished before 9:00. Quality of work was excellent, and the job was done at the price quoted previously.

+ 1 moreI couldn't fit the microwave because there wasn't enough safe. He switched cabinets around and cut one down and you would never know that he made those changes. The job went very well. I liked all that he did and it all works fine. I don't have any leaks. It was very nice and professional. I will call him again. I thought his price was very reasonable.
Description of Work: I used the service of Clearwater Plumbing & Home Repairs to install some appliances. He installed a dishwasher, a new sink, a disposal, faucet, a built in stove and an over the ranch microwave.

He replaced a basement fauset and rebuilt the bathroom fausets. I was pleased with his work. I would recommend Clearwater for fast, courteous and reasonably priced service. The other company I called hasen't called back yet and I already have the problem fixed...!

+ -1 moreI've used him twice. He was fine. He is an independent guy and I think he is a one-man show. I think his name was Jeff. He was real reasonable. He was real responsive. The only thing is that he doesn't take credit cards. He was just a little bit late. The first time it was a really good deal and the second time it was okay. I did call him one other time and he didn't return my call.
Description of Work: I used Clearwater Plumbing & Home Repairs because my toilet backed up and I had 20 people coming to my house for the holiday. He came right out and unplugged the toilet. He came back again and I think it was another toilet issue.

He efficiently snaked the toilet, found the cause of blockage and the toilet functioned appropriately. While he at the house we discussed further work that might be done in the fall.

+ -1 moreThe job went very well and I was satisfied with the results. The job took several visits during the course of a few weeks, and Mr. Scott was quite flexible in arranging the work at a time that was convenient for both of us.
Description of Work: There was a slow leak in the plumbing inside the wall of the upstairs bathroom. The leak caused damage in the ceiling of the downstairs bathroom. Jeff Scott (Clearwater Plumbing) found the slow leak and repaired it. This involved removing part of the wall in the upstairs bathroom and part of the ceiling in the downstairs bathroom. So he also replaced and repaired the damaged wallboard and finished off the job with painting and spackle work.

Description of Work: Mr. Scott was hired to install a dishwasher and disposal for me. He first provided an estimate for the work to be done. He then completed the electrical, plumbing, and carpentry work involved in the installation. As I did not have a dishwasher in my home before this, nor was there a space for one, the job was very labor intensive.

HE PROCEEDED TO REMOVE THE OLD GROUTING BUT NEGLECTED TO CLEAN THESE AREAS WITH A SOLVENT TO REMOVE ANY EXCESS, ESPECIALLY IN THE TUB WHERE MILDEW SOMETIMES FORMS. THE OLD GROUTING WAS REPLACED WITH A SILICONE ONE. UNFORTUNATELY, JEFF WAS NOT TOO FAMILIAR WITH THE WAY YOU FINISH OFF A SILICONE GROUTING. AFTER APPLYING IT HE SMOOTHED IT OUT WITH HIS FINGER INSTEAD OF A WET CLOTH, WHICH WILL REMOVE THE EXCESS FROM WALL SIDES LEAVING THE GROUTING ONLY IN THE GROOVE. I NOW HAVE A SKIN OF GROUTING IN AREAS WHERE IT SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN. HE ALSO GROUTED AREAS ON THE VANITY WHERE I SPECIFICALLY TOLD HIM TWICE NOT TO TOUCH. THESE WERE PLACES WHERE THERE WAS WALL PAPER. I AM NOT HAPPY AND DO NOT WANT HIM BACK. I DID GET HIS NAME FROM ANGIE'S LIST. HE IS NO LONGER ON IT.
