They arrived on time and worked their tails off only stopping to eat lunch. They never quit. This house had been hoarded pretty badly so there were piles of items stacked to the ceiling in three large rooms. They cleaned out the entire basement including a very large church organ and moved everything to the dumpster. They carefully packed the things I wanted to save and set them aside. They also cleaned out a room upstairs that was also completely full. Again, nothing was packed. They filled many garbage bags and made hundreds of trips up and down the stairs to the dumpster. It was a hard day for them. Everything went perfectly! The accomplished in 7 hours what would have taken me months given my health issues. My goal was to get my house back and they made that extremely easy for me. I rented a giant 30 yard dumpster with six foot high walls. They stuffed it completely full. I'm very grateful for their long day of hard work and I highly recommend them. Everyone from the office staff to the workers has turned this nightmare into a dream.

Everything went smooth and without a hitch. I was living in transition between DC and OH and had terrible access to email but the ladies in the office were helpful in getting all the paperwork done. Interstate moves are tough when you're handling it on your own - I'd moved several times previously but the company I was working for handled the majority of the details. The gentlemen that showed up to move my items were on time, professional and courteous. They handled all my items with care and were especially talented at getting my couch into the new place because no one thought it would fit! I couldn't have asked for a better company to work with and am grateful to have come across Alexander Moving.

Easily managed some heavy pieces, wrapped and protected furniture, covered carpet and flooring for protection, delivered all boxes to requested area on two floors and basement, dismantled and assembled beds.

Outstanding. I could not of had a better experience with another company. We used two different crews and both were professional and fun. They worked hard and really late. They never complained and we had a lot of fun with them.

Alexander Movers were extremely professional and dedicated to moving our items quickly, efficiently and carefully. They had taken our beds apart and assembled them in our new home and arranged the furniture exactly as we had it I our old home. Amazing company and would certainly use them again. I've told my real estate agent about them and he will pass on our wonderful experience.

We contracted two trucks and four employees through this service. Front office covered all documents and schedule dates perfectly. They called a day in advance to confirm schedule move date. The move went very well. No damaged property! They protected and covered all furniture. They protected and prepped all doors and floors they worked in. I liked the fact that there was a crew leader that reported to me with specific questions and advise on progress of the move. The employee's looked presentable and acted trust worthy. Upon completion, the movers cleaned up after themselves. I was impressed with the service they provided my family that day. I will refer them to all friends and family. I sought a mover on Angies List in the Cleveland area. Starting at the top of the "A" review list I got down to Alexander Moving: the first company where a living human being instead of an answering machine answered the phone! Indeed, as the scheduling and other details were firmed up there was ALWAYS someone to answer the phone. The move had to be done within a week. Joni Alexander turned cartwheels to accommodate us and accomplished the interstate move within four days of our initial contact in the midst of the busiest moving season. The truck arrived on time to pick up the goods and delivered them exactly on schedule to both locations. We were always informed where the truck was and when it would arrive. Everything was delivered in perfect order and extra care was taken to insure things were set up properly. I couldn't dream or a more perfect move.

It was fine, wasn’t crazy about the price, I dint have a lot of time to research cheaper places. I received them from Angie’s List I think that the time and distance involved in moving made it expensive, but the move was great

It was an exceptional experience. From the receptionist to the moving guys. Great group of people. They were efficient, professional and helpful. I will use again and refer all my friends.

We had previously used Anderson for a city to city move of estate items. I was pleased when I called to find that they would also move items within the house. They were able to schedule two men at our home at a time that was convenient to us. They arrived promptly. The moves were made carefully with no damages to either the items or passages through which the items were moved. The movers were courteous and accommodating.

. There were problems opening the keyboard cover. The movers stayed and helped solve the problem. the movers were very careful to clean up. they were wonderful.

The service was fabulous. My wife called them this morning and when she asked when she could schedule a move, the woman on the phone said "how about today?". They were out my mother-in-law's house by noon. The woman on the phone was great and everything was quick and efficient.

Overall I had a good experience with them, they were efficient and showed up right on time (early actually). My only complaint is not with the movers themselves but with the company: I paid a deposit when I signed the contract and it was not applied to the total balance, so I essentially paid for an extra hour of move time. Still working on resolving that one with the company. Also, they charge based on when they leave their office in Mentor, so if you are moving from somewhere not in the mentor area to somewhere also not in the mentor area, you will pay a lot more.

I chose Alexander Moving sort of by accident. I was given the name 'Alexander' by my realtor as a company that he recommended. After doing a little Google search I contacted Alexander Moving in Mentor, Ohio. My initial contact was via email. My email was responded to by Joni from Alexander. I was pleased that she contacted me so quickly after my inquiry. The first day or two were email's only. Then when it got down to the real details Joni called and we ironed out the details. (Alexander was not the only company I contacted. In fact I think they were the fourth moving company). Joni kind of sealed the deal. She has a great personality and zeal for her position. It was a pleasure dealing with someone that enjoyed their work and it showed. Rich and Rob arrived Friday evening about 7:30 p.m. (I thought they would start on Saturday), so it was comforting to know they were ready to go and in fact they worked until 11:30 that night.... I think they would have worked longer if I didn't chase them out. They managed to fit all of my belongings into the truck and finished packing Saturday evening about 7:00 p.m. and hit the road. At this point I was glad that my information was mixed up as everything was going as scheduled and on time. The next part was up to me to find a home to move into. All things considered, my move went much faster then I could even imagined. From the day I arrived at my destination (Northeastern Ohio) the end of May '12 until I moved into my home on July 13th everything went on schedule. That includes selecting a realtor, finding a home, getting loan approval, having my home painted inside and new carpeting installed BEFORE my furniture and personal belongings were delivered by Alexander Moving Co.... I guess I was just lucky. All of this occurred in about 45 days. (Actually it could have been sooner as I closed on the home in 35 days. And that could not have happened without many people helping it happen). Bottom line is on July 13th, Alexander Moving delivered my furniture as requested and my move had reached had reached completion. I had just retired from my job and was moving back home to where I was raised. ' And that IS the rest of the story'. Thank you Joni, Rich and Rob. You all did a great job!!

They were outstanding in every way. The owners are husband and wife and they have a good team of employees. I would have that company move my best friend! They took great care of everything. They were wonderful, extremely professional. and very careful with everything. There were no problems, no damages, and everything was wrapped and packed very carefully.

They are prompt and on time. They do a good job. They are neat. Their rates are pretty reasonable. They aren't a big moving company, so out-of-state moves are probably not their forte. They are good for this area. I thought the price was good. I did call around. They weren't the cheapest or the most expensive. When they are going to come, they come.

Alexander Moving brought us from Northeast Ohio to Corpus Christi Texas, utiilizing the same crew for the entire move. The men were punctual, professional, careful with our furniture, and their work was satisfactory in all respects. They have great work ethic and are amazingly efficient. We could not ask for more. I can recommend this company without reservation. Their price was not the lowest bid I received, but I chose them anyway based on their reputation from buyers on Angie's List. They fully lived up to it in every respect, and it was money well spent!

Alexander Moving responded with two trucks (not semi's) that actually could make it up my long and narrow driveway, plus four wonderful men (Rob, Paul, Rich and Richie). These guys worked their butts off! They gave more than exceptional care to my furniture and belongings. My only regret was not to better utilize them in moving some items that I didn't have packed up. I should have just let them do it. They were on time and under the original $1400-$1600 estimate. Can't wait til I find a new house and need to move things out of storage. This is exceptional service.

This is a professional and well qualified local mover with years of experience. They provided an estimate which turned out to be accurate. Although they were not the lowest bidder for our move, we chose this company because of their local references, and they did not disappoint us. We were moving into the second floor of a 170 year old building that is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The movers had to work with a narrow staircase that had a right angle turn at the top. They did a great job and managed to complete the move without any damage to our office equipment or furniture.

I ended up going with another Angie's List company. The woman I spoke with at Alexander Moving Company was very friendly and helpful. The reason I decided not to use them was because of their pricing/travel costs. I did not like that their hourly clock started when they left their building and didn't stop until they got back. They also added fuel surcharges and they required that you purchase mattress bags. (The company I ultimately hired was less expensive and did not add in any "extra" charges.) To be fair, I was impressed that they were very honest about their additional charges and I did not have to "dig' to find out that there would be additional costs.
