Sears Appliance Repair

The tech scratched the front of our frigerator new door was unavailable so they gave me a few gift cards and I still have to pay to repair repair still not done

I was told the service cost was $89.00 but that was only the travel fee, I had to pay $55.00 for a diagnostic fee, the total was $148.38. I had to purchase a new refrigerator, I would not have had the service if I had been informed that there was an extra diagnostic cost. I would have used that to help pay for my new refrigerator. When the service is scheduled, the customer should be informed that there is an extra diagnostic fee and told what the basic fee is. This would have saved me $148.38.

Repair technician arrived within the promised four time frame. Technician seemed unaware of the fix for what has been a common problem. Charge for the repair part, a refurbished circuit board, was more than the retail price a new original equipment board. Found out after the fact that my credit card was charged twice for the same service. Sears refused to take ownership of the duplicate billing problem.

It didn't go very well, as we explained to them that the information that we were given from the technician did not match what the company was telling us. We cancelled the service right away, but it was after we had already paid for the initial service and the monthly installment on the home warranty. NOT GOOD Sears---NOT GOOD!!!!!

Not well. I was told only appliances purchased at Sears would be serviced.

I have a contract through them and the price was included. They also installed the furnace and air conditioner in my house.

To make things better they could have showed up. They could have diagnosed the problem correctly. They?could have still? said that they would come out and verify any work that I did and make sure it was right at?whatever rate. I ended up doing it because they had the parts shipped to my house and then they never called so I ended up just starting to look?at it and I did it myself with watching a U-Tube.

When the repairman arrived, he fixed the dryer, but advised us that repairing the refrigerator would cost hundreds of dollars and we should purchase the Sears Home Warranty. We purchased the warranty, but when we called to get the repair done, we experienced 4 or 5 visits after which they said they don't service pre-existing problems. The initial repairman knew that when he advised us. Sears also refused to refund our payment for the warranty, stating that the 4 or 5 visits cost the amount we paid for the warranty. Very disappointing.

Appointment was made within a week. . Technician was professional and answered any questions I had. He demonstrated how the new dishwasher would work and hauled away the old one.

The first man out was more of a salesman than repairman, laying out a couple of home maintenance plans that he strongly urged us to consider. He did finally see what the problem was. He told us that the parts would be ordered and be sent to us. Starting the next day Sears began a series of calls that either tried to arrange a time for the next repairer to install the parts, or, at least once, just telling us when the repairer would be out - all these before we'd received the parts! The parts arrived after about 6 days and we called and arranged for someone to make the fix. I dreaded the visit because the first guy promised more sales speeches would be part of the routine, but the second guy just showed up and did his job. The machine was satisfactorily repaired. If the second repairer was the only person we had to deal with and the parts had been sent to him before he scheduled an appointment, this review would have been much better. We are now avoiding purchases where Sears is the repair service.

The part arrived my mail after a week or so. It was an extra few days before the service guy could get out to see me. Machine was out of balance after the repair

The service person never showed up. My husband called and, after many run-arounds, he was told that Sears had never scheduled a service person to come out despite what they told us earlier - and Sears offered to reschedule. My husband refused rescheduling and sent a strong letter of complaint, canceling the remainder of our Sears service contract and promising never to use them again.

I looked up refrigerator-freezer model number on PartsSelect and ordered a replacement evaporator fan kit. After receiving the parts, I replaced the fan myself in 35 minutes. The cost was $46.85 in parts and 35 minutes of my time.

There was a question that I had that they could have answered better. It was decent.

It worked out terrific. I value their work, it was terrific. Very very fine people.

He did an excellent job. He did a real good job and I was pleased. The thing I was disappointed in was I paid him and he gave me a receipt when he finished doing the job for $129 and last month I got a bill saying the bill was not paid. So I called the number on the bill and I explained to him that I had paid it and he checked it for me and everything and he saw that I had paid it and he told me he would straight it out and that it was a mistake. I got a letter saying it had been paid. I was real pleased with that. The person that did the job was courteous and he was a nice person. He didn’t try to tell me something was wrong or charge more money. He told me I had a real nice central air conditioner and that he has the same type and they don’t make them anymore. The kind that we have lasts. They came out when they said they were going to come out.

They were nice, they were fine. They came out once. They didn't fix it the first time. They thought the vent was blocked and so we cleaned all that out but it turned out, whether or not that was the problem, I don't know. After that, it still didn't work. The heat element still didn't work properly so they came out a second time and they did not charge us for the visit. they just charged us for the part that needed to be replaced.

They were very good. Pricing was reasonable.

Good, repairman was on time and quickly addressed the issue.

RIP OFF!!! I can't remember the exact price, but it was something like $89 to come out and tell me what's wrong. They ended up charging me something like another extra $40 just for telling me where I can buy the part I needed...the part that they don't carry.

The mower wouldn't start. The service professional diagnosed the problem and found that we needed a part. He installed the new part and the mower has been working fine.

It was okay. It also depended on the technician. There was one technician who was very good and there was another who did not know what he was doing. It was in the middle of winter and the temperature was 0 degrees and I called, it took them 3 weeks to get a service man here. I called after 10 days and they said a service man is coming but he didn't show up. I got another company to fix it.

It was a whole fiasco with that. They had a water leak and our floor buckled up, it was a mess. The price was about normal, it was about a couple hundred dollars, that was no big deal. If you called them it was a couple of days before they showed up so that wasn't good either. They were good people it is just that everything went down the tubes. I paid $200 because it was a warranty deal.

The service was okay. We have a warranty. When they come out, they never have any parts. They have to order the part. The part comes to your house and you have to call them again. Then, they come out. It is just kind of a pain. Their pricing is average. I have to use them again because there is warranty on it, but I really do not want to. They used to carry parts. It is a great thing when they had parts on the truck. They could go to the truck get the part and put it in. It is just two times they had to come which is a pain, but then, they do not carry parts on their trucks anymore so that is kind of different.

The service worked out well. They came out and did what they were supposed to do. They did a good job in doing what they did. I had a good experience with them.
