Dan did a fantastic job. I simply asked for my house and yard to be the best looking in our neighborhood after dark and he destroyed my competition while not breaking the bank. On a personal level, Dan is just a terrific guy and is one of the most passionate contractors i have ever come across.

Dan is a true professional. He is very precise with our lighting system around the perimeter of our home. He made certain to not only meet - but exceed - our expectations. All work was done in a timely manner as promised. He then came to make sure that all new lights were working & aligned properly. We have owned our home for eighteen years, and are the sole property in our allotment with a full lighting system. Living on a corner lot gives us protection & peace of mind with our investment. We highly recommend Dan!

Dan is extremely knowledgeable, professional and experienced in the business. He is extremely passionate about lighting and his work. He does all the work himself (no sub-contractors!!!), is meticulous and takes great pride in his work and is not satisfied until the customer is satisfied. He provided a great plan and the lighting makes the house and yard look AMAZING at night. I could not be happier with the job that Dan did on my deck. From the very first day I requested a quote, he arrived right on time, was very professional, and offered me a variety of choices in lighting. When I finally decided on the one that I "thought" was going to look good, he gave me a light with its own battery pack so I could actually see what it would look like at night before he placed an order. His prices were very competitive and the installation was perfect in every way. I could just about set my watch on his arrival time, which was important to me as I hate waiting for a contractor to arrive when they are supposed to and then never show up on time. I would hire this gentlemen in a minute for any future lighting.

Dan was extremely responsive and professional. He came out right away, put together a plan and went over it with me, and scheduled and did the installation quickly. I am very happy with it so far and can't wait to see it once the trees and shrubs leaf out.

He called me back promptly; showed up to our appointment on time; and was extremely professional. He installed the lighting we agreed upon but I thought it was too much light and asked him to come back to make an adjustment. He did so willingly and changed out some of the lights for a more suttle look. I love the finished product and I trully enjoyed working with him. I would hire him again and recommend him highly. Although I gave him a B on price, I had other quotes and he was reasonable in comparison.

Dan exceeded our expectations in every aspect of the project. We met with and received estimates from three area landscape lighting businesses and Dan really stood out from the rest. His many years of experience in landscaping and lighting, his knowledge, passion and artistic eye really made him the best choice for us. He worked with us to develop the best plan for lighting around our home while staying within our budget. Unlike his competitors, his responses to calls and e-mails were always prompt. Once we hired him, he worked tirelessly to complete our project on time. Honestly, Dan was the best contractor to work on my house that I have had. Work was excellent, showed up when he said he would, very friendly and professional. Dan did what needed to be done without going overboard to charge more, and it makes my house look amazing. I liked that lighting is all he does, and he is very good at it.

It was a pleasure to work with Dan Husney. He is the owner of Litescapes and personally does all the design and installation. He showed us options for all of our yard which turned out to be not in our budget. When we told him that he came up with a revised plan/budget which was in line with what we wanted to spend. The installation went very smoothly. The front of our house and sidewalk look great. Dan even came early one morning to adjust the lights while it was dark. I would highly recommend him for an landscape lighting work.

I will admit, the primary reason I selected Dan was not particularly his price (he was about in the middle of all the price quotes I received), but the fact that he seemed to have the best sense of lighting design to achieve the effect we were looking for. Most others just suggested placing path lights here and there. He gave us ideas that we hadn't considered. Though the had another large development scheduled, the develpment contractor was going to be a day or two delayed due to electical service not being ready, Dan was able to squeeze us in immediately and could finish the work in about a day and a half.He worked that first day about 12 hours till it was dark, so he could test the lighting affect and make adjustments as needed. Needless to say, we were thrilled with the results. Some plantings had to be cut back, which he took care of. I'm having him take a look at our church and expect him to do that job also. I think he put in something like 16 lights (all LED), so we don't expect much of a spike in our electric bill. He even threw in a couple of astonomical timers for all these lights. Dan knows his business and takes pride in his workmanship.Enough said.

Wow! Where do I begin? In a word, Dan is stellar. I have never had the pleasure of working with someone so conscientious, courteous, and most of all professional. He knows what it takes to provide service excellence. Be prepared to have your expectations exceeded! I called Dan, along with a couple of other landscape light companies, to get them to come out and provide estimates to replace our aging low-voltage lighting system. He called me back within the hour and we talked a bit about the project. He said he would come out the next day. He did, and he was right on time. At once, I found him to be friendly and enthusiastic about wanting to do the job. Immediately, he had a plan in his mind and described what he wanted to do for the front of our house. He showed me his portfolio of similar lighting jobs and I knew I had the right guy. Rather then just light up the front of the house, Dan preferred a more subtle approach, opting to light the prominent trees, a pair of birches and dogwoods. He also placed a few lighting fixtures to illuminate the house and front path. He showed me lighting fixture samples and even had a battery to operate lights so I could see the intensity and color of the light. His attention to detail sold me; I hired him on the spot. He showed up early the next day and proceeded to work for the next seven hours. When he was done, he showed me what he had done, and the work was flawless. Cables were buried an inch below the ground surface *and* stapled into the ground, *and* marked with little white flags so I knew where the cable route was. He pre-positioned all lighting fixtures *and* he came out early the next morning to do a final positioning - so he made a second visit - who does that kind of service anymore? I found his attention to detail and the quality of his workmanship to be superb. SO - I requested that he do the backyard gardens, which was an unplanned project, but we liked his job so much we wanted him to continue. I must say, we are just amazed at the lighting job he did for us. The house looks so much warmer and welcoming at night, and safer, too. He used just enough light to enhance the house and trees. In short, we were just blown away as his work far exceeded our expectations. We wholeheartedly and without reservation would recommend Dan of Litescapes to anyone out there who wants a high-quality lighting system installed with loving attention to detail and quality; I'd give him an A+ for all categories.
