Contacted the owner, Amy, for their minimum 3 hour consultation, and scheduled for a Monday afternoon (3pm). I shifted projects around from my business and worked several hours that Sunday to leave the Monday block of time available. Monday came, and I turned away a couple rush projects from several clients in anticipation of the meeting. After doing a whirlwind job of cleaning the house and getting ready, her husband calls and leaves a voicemail 14 MINUTES before the appointment to cancel, as she's running behind at a different appointment. It's quite unprofessional to call that late to cancel an appointment that had been in place for weeks. Even more, the appointment time-frame was for three hours (even though I only needed an hour of her time), so she had plenty of time to make it over even if she was running late. I tried calling back twice and went to voicemail, and even sent a text message that went unanswered. So now I'm out the time I could've been enjoying my weekend, the time spent cleaning the house, and the loss of income from turning away rush business that Monday. What a horrible way to run a company, and an insult to the industry. BEWARE, if you're not a big fish, you're obviously not worth her time.

I'm not one for poor reviews, but I have to let people know what happened here. We heard good things about this place (they were rated best in Medina for several years in interior design) and called to see if they would help us pick out the right window treatments, get them custom made, and possibly some additional window trim to best bring out the style of the house and what we like. They said come right in - no need for an appointment. So we went and met a nice lady, where we showed her some pictures on our iPad of the windows and steered her towards some examples of shades we liked. She said that all sounds doable, gave us an informal idea of what we should expect to spend (likely $3K for just the custom window treatments - likely another $1-2K more for the wood trim, painting work), and said she would call the next day to setup an appointment to come out and measure the windows and take photos. We filled out a contact sheet with our name, address, phone, and details of what we wanted to do. We never received a call back. After several days, I called and asked if someone can setup an appointment - they said the person wasn't in but they would leave a message and call me as soon as they can. We played a little phone tag, but every time I would call back, the person wasn't there to schedule a time to come out. After over 2 weeks, we finally settled on a date. They were about 15 minutes late, but they called while they were coming to say that they were lost and needed guidance on getting to our place. She came in, measured everything, took a few photos to show to a contractor to spec out the wood work and painting, and we showed her some examples of the shades we wanted to get at Pottery Barn but couldn't because they wouldn't fit the windows. She understood, and as she was leaving, she said, "Give me 7-10 business days to pull some samples and I'll call and schedule an appointment to go over the samples and an estimate for the work." I never received a call back. We waited three weeks, but this time I didn't bother calling back. If you're too busy or not interested in taking the job, I would have had no problem with them telling us that and going elsewhere. Frankly, I don't know why they didn't call back - perhaps they were just really unorganized. Suffice it to say, nothing happened. We ended up taking matters into our own hands and calling on a finish carpenter and a separate custom blinds/shades company to give us recommendations and do the work - all done now and looking great before we got any call back from Interior Design Studio. It's not the way I would have liked to be treated as a customer interested in working with them.
