Bill was great to work with. He paid attention to the items that we wanted to incorporate into our project and provided several options that would work within our budget. Once we finalized the details he completed the work ahead of schedule.

Our deck was finished in about 5 days total, with a few days for bad weather and waiting for inspections. Mr. Higham handled getting approvals from the city engineer and our HOA quickly and we were very pleased with the speed of his team. They also moved all our deck furniture, grill, etc. out of the way and put it in place when finished. We are so happy with the final result!

Bill was extremely responsive, answering every email and phone call promptly and never hesitating to stop over to talk about the project. He listened to our ideas and helped us plan our perfect deck. Bill and his crew came on time, worked hard, cleaned up their mess and were respectful and polite. I thought the price was better than the other estimates we received. In fact Bill gave us a discount during the construction because a part of the job was easier than expected. That came as a welcome surprise. I have already recommended Bill to a friend and would use him again for a job.

We would not recommend him to anybody and I would not want him over our house again. If he was a doctor we would sue him for malpractice. We had a problem with our glass door. He was here to replace the door. He came with a few guys to do it and there was big gaps between the sill plate and the masonry, foundation part, and he didn’t put foam between the board and it caused a lot of draft and I brought mention it I and they simply put cork to it with which later separated. He also created a big draft off the face of the floor and by the sliding glass door. So I called him and ask why when he pull back the carpeting he did not put it back, he said he is not a carpet person and he can’t put it back. We eventually realize that he is a bully. It’s like he is saying “ you know what Mr. Customer, I can’t do this but we can hire someone or if you could hire someone to put it back properly, I think that would be to our benefit”. He started doing various work to fix the thing and I asked him some questions and he stop and said “there is only so much we can do”. I brought up the foam stuff and he said I’m not telling you what to do, I’m not a carpenter”. So eventually he left and some boards were uneven. I pay him almost to get out of my house.

Bill and his crew were not only on time, but were always early on the job. We had an existing wooden deck that was not properly installed in the first place, replaced with new vinyl decking, lighting, railing and a stairway that had not been on the original deck. There was an existing concrete patio below the original deck that had posts that were improperly installed that had to be removed and new posts properly installed. Bill and his crew repaired the holes in the concrete that were left over from the old posts after the new posts were installed. Bill is very easy to work with and will explain every detail that he is going to do. Bill is meticulous in his work and will take his time to do it right. Our home looks 100% better now with our new deck. I am not doing Bill Higham justice with this short of a review, because there was so much more that Bill and his crew did that it would take a novel to write it. I would hire Hingham Construction anytime.

All questions were thoroughly answered before I decided to use Higham Construction. Professional attitude - people arrived at agreed upon times and always let me know when they were leaving for the day. Very pleased with deck - looks great! Also, liked the fact that things were picked up daily and things remained tidy.

Great experience. I was kept well informed of process and start date which was changing due to all the rain. Deck was well designed and built per the plan that was presented to me. Very professional both Bill and the installers. Job site was cleaned up when complete.

It went really well. They completed this job with in a week. A few minor delays getting parts for the job. However, I am very pleased with the overall work they did.

I cannot express my thanks enough to Bill and his crew. Bill is awesome! He took so much time going over all of the details with me. He was always onsite. From the estimate and planning stages to obtaining the permit and building the deck, it was first rate service. Bill was always available and responded to questions promptly. He answered all questions I had and took our needs into account when designing the deck. First of all, they had to work in the muddiest backyard ever with all of the rain we had. The entire crew was polite and hardworking. The finished product is more than I dreamed or hoped for. I love it! Not only was the deck impressive but so was the team. The went out of their way to help us with other things. They carried and placed the steps going into the pool in the water. They added the ballast bags and mounted the steps to the deck. Bill and Eddie carried my grill onto my deck for me as well. These were all things that they did not need to do and were not in the contract. They are an amazing team! Bill is also going to come back and mount an additional railing once it comes in. (This is something that is for the pool and not the deck.) This kind of customer service is rare. I am thankful to have found such an awesome company and crew to work with. I will be calling them whenever I need any building project.

Construction Mr. Higham was true to his word and kept me from lots of worry I never had to call him about how things are going? Do we have all the permits?, Are the materials available? He kept me in the know weekly. The crew showed up on time, often with Mr Higham. In fact they even started early. The crew cleaned up everyday after work. They even finished by loading deck with our furniture before leaving. If a new project comes up we will call Mr. Higham, no one else. Quality for the money.

How refreshing to work with an honest, excellent contractor. Bill was always here when he said he would be. He's professional, courteous and he tells you everything. Nothing is hidden. He told me that he could repair the old deck but that it would not last long. I decided to replace the old one. Im glad I did. I can "feel " the quality of the work with this new one that I never felt with the other. I had to worked the entire time but Bill kept me informed of the day's progress and it was exactly as he said. The work is top notch. Will use him again for sure.

. We have had an opportunity to observe the deck and appreciate the workmanship over the last six months. The installer was very very courteous, punctual, and helpful in suggestions. The bench and railings are better of them were installed on our redwood deck 20 years ago. I would highly recommend this installer for any job involving deck replacement or installation.The deck was installed in October 2014

The service went fine. We did not use the company for the project. They would not give us the design which is we did not use them. We ended up doing the project ourselves. The designer fine jonjob and we had no problem scheduling the deal.

Bill was prompt in coming out to view the project and give me an estimate. We handled questions via email and Bill was always very prompt in responding and answering all my questions. He worked with me in agreeing on a date to do the work and everything went very smoothly. In fact, the project took less time than he had projected thereby reducing some of the estimated labor costs.

We wanted a deck for our home and eventually selected Higham Constructions from a pool of contractors. Bill was quite professional and created an initial design, which we modified per our needs. He then set up a timeline for the project and updated us during various stages of the project. We decided to do with pressure treated wood and vinyl railings to optimize cost and maintenance. The deck was built to our taste and we are quite happy with it.

Removed door including framing from house. This meant removing inside trim. Door originally installed with expanding foam insulation which absorbed water effectively crushing door from side-to-side and bending threshold into a U-shape. After pealing door from house he repaired the damaged sub-floor, joists and areas affected. He installed correct sealant, including flashing which had not been installed when the house was built. Door looks like new, swings open easily and is sealed correctly.

Mr. Highham was very responsive. All dates were met as agreed. The quality was good. The location was fully cleaned. He even did another small job at no additional cost. I would use this contractor for future projects.

The project went very well. There was one slight delay when Mr. Higham hurt his ankle and needed to avoid bearing weight on it, but he kept us informed as to when he felt he would be able to do the work and the work ultimately started exactly when he said it would. Bill and his workers showed up on time and set about enlarging our deck. His workers were pleasant and seemed knowledgeable. It was a very efficient project; work was completed on time and I was very happy with the finished project. The deck looks great and it is exactly what I wanted. I couldn't have been happier dealing with Bill and I highly recommend him. (he even fixed the latch on our gate just because he saw that it needed done)

I rate Bills work an A+. Higham construction finish the project on time. Bill worked with my wife and my self to develop a deck design. His communication was excellent. His team was punctual and worked complete days. He does not juggle jobs. He started and finished the deck on schedule. He helped with lighting and added a GFI outlet. His team of two workers were skilled and work well together. Bill made the project an enjoyable experience. The deck is beautiful. My wife and I HIGHLY recommend Higham construction. Great job

Very personable and professional. He is honest about what can and cant be accommplished.

Purchased "the big deal" from Higham Construction for a custom deck design consultation with drawings. Bill Higham contacted me and said my location was out of his service area and could not perform the work. Mr. Highman stated he could not make the time needed for all the trips necessary to get permits. I can not give any type of review since no service was performed.

He was very professional and we were very happy. He was very responsive and worked with us. The deck is good and we didn't have any issues. He did it in the time frame he said he would.

same as above. could not do the job on my property just not possible ,,, but the owner and higham construction is a good honest guy and told me truth and I respect that more . I would call on and use him for other projects if I could. read above more details thanks .
