Gridiron Guys

We first met with Jeff Mohr, project manager, for Gridiron Guys. He spent several hours on first consultation describing process, checking out roof issues, and answering all of our questions. He was able to give us an initial quote for everything that day! Jeff was polite, informative, and in general very knowledgeable about the products he recommended. Once we selected the colors for the roof, gutters and the soffit, the process was ready to start. Jeff kept us informed of the schedule for each day and the teams were able to complete everything as promised. We were very impressed with each team that arrived, from the roofers, to the soffit, gutters and the insulation guys. Everyone was polite, respectful of our property and did thorough cleanup when completed. We would most certainly recommend the professional Gridiron Guys to anyone!

Very professional group, done in one day with cleanup. Crew doing work was excellent. Owner and son discussed what was to be done and followed through with all aspects of what was needed. Would highly recommend this company and would have them do work again.

Bill arrived early and went to work cleaning the gutters. He used an iPad to take pictures of the roof during his inspection and shared the pictures with us. There were several areas where the roof is deteriorating, so he gave us a booklet of information on his company and the products they use for a new roof. We will probably be scheduling work with him next spring.

Pros: Prompt, courteous technician. Cons: The Angie's Big Deal service stated that it included the following: gutter cleaning & minor repair, roof inspection & caulking, and a summary report. However, I was told that if I wanted the minor roof caulking done it would be an additional charge. I also never received a summary report of the inspection & work completed. In the end, I paid $99 for a gutter cleaning on a small 1-story house, which is $20 more than what I have paid for the same service from other contractors who did excellent work. I don't like to post negative reviews, but cardinal rule number one for contractors is "deliver what you promised".

I used them through a big deal on Angie's List. It was fine. We liked the deal overall. The people who did the work were fine and very nice.

cationWe had a 2 1/2 story downspout blown off by heavy winds. Water was coming into my basement because I Gridiron Guys were recommended to me by a coworker that had them replace his roof a couple months ago. I called a few places, and they were the only ones that actually called me back for such a small job. I really didn't have much communication with them...they just rushed out the next morning and fixed it for less then the amount quoted over the phone.

Used coupon for gutter cleaning and roof inspection. He was on time, efficient and thorough. Providedd me with pictures and a quote. The company gave appropriate follow-up to the visit and quote.

They were courteous, prompt, and professional. We decided to hold off on getting our roof replaced, as there was not an immediate need, but would definitely consider using their services again in the future.

He was very professional and courteous. I would use their service again as they did a good job. There may have been a slight mix up in contact information but they called me initially to try and set up the appointment; there was some information that didn’t get transferred. I would recommend their service to others. The price was excellent.

This turned out okay. I was just expecting more. They were supposed to check the down spouts and they missed one that had a hole in it. I had to point that out and then they fixed it. I was expecting a more thorough inspection and cleaning. Everything with this deal was fair, I was really not that thrilled.

Well, The roofers did a great job until the end. I have an apple tree in my backyard and they started trowing apples at each other and left the mess for me. They also left so many nails in my yard and landscaping, I could have saved them to do another house. The gutter guy did just fine but it was more expensive than most. He also brought along his whiny teenage son that was constantly complaining that he didn't get enough sleep and was so tired. He acted like he was tired and his dad had to tell & retell him everything over and over. The worst were the guys siding my house. I an arched window and they tried to get by installing 6" pieces of trim over it and it looked terrible. When I told the installer he got mad and went off the deep end and told me"Well, your just going to have to get up here and paint it. I am an amputee and in a wheelchair. They took out the vents on both ends of my house and tried to get away with not closing the hole with a piece of plywood. The just nailed a piece of wrap over the holes. I checked this out by using my extension pole tree trimmer and poked a hole clean through. When told of this they acted like it was nothing and said the wrap on it would be ok. I had to tell them to fix it right. There were many things that they did that was shoddy workmanship and I had to have them do it over again. Whoever heard of putting the house wrap up with nails and not taping the seams. I was supposed to have the foam insulating board installed but they used some lame excuse that they wouldn't be able to find the studs if they used the foam board. I heard enough excuses to last a lifetime. They kept repeating that the were doing a million dollar job on a monastery, while implying that my small job was nothing. I would not recommend them to my worst enemy! Find another contractor and make sure they put everything in writing that they say they will do for the money. These guys didn't! There is more to this but my fingers won't let me type more. Thank you and best of luck to all.

Crew of about 10 arrived on time and hit the ground running. Within 10 minutes, some of the crew started stripping the old roof while the rest were unloading equipment and preparing for the next phase of the job. By noon, entire roof was stripped and had ice guard and underlayment and was ready for the new shingles. Clean-up went well most of the crew was polite and friendly. After they had left, I had noticed a couple of things that I found to be not to my liking but after a follow up visit by a company rep I pointed out the problem areas and it was taken care of the following day.

It went well. Two young men, Bill Jr. and Matt, showed up on time, got up on the roof, and had the gutters cleaned in a short period of time. They did a visual inspection of the roof and told me some things about the roof I wasn't aware of.

They did a very good job with the gutters and prompt in arriving and were very courteous explaining what kind of roof they specialized in, For the services they provided, I would recommend them

All services were performed as promised. All aspects of job were very professional.

Great service provider. Arrived as expected, provided details regarding the situation. I don't need a new roof but he went around and nailed in my gutters because they had come loose. Would call them again in a minute.

They were punctual, professional and friendly. They got right to the business at hand and even went in my attic with me so that I could point out some concerns. Then patched up a gap around a stack pipe.

Honestly, these guys were wonderful. Not only did they come and do what they needed to do at the house, they even took time afterwords on the phone to explain their estimate. Even though we chose not to use this provider due to the cost, they were professional, honest and a pleasure to work with!
