Description of Work: At 10pm we realized our sump pump was spraying water all over our basement due to leaking pipes. We called Joe and he was so nice. We explained we were not comfortable waiting until morning for it to be fixed in case it caused flooding. Joe let us know in advance there would be an added cost due to it being after hours and came immediately out to fix it. He explained everything he was doing to my husband and was done in about an hour or so...

Description of Work: called him around 03/22 and informed him toilet not working and read some reviews and they were positive. Joe said he has Friday 3/25 open in the morning 8a-830a and he would be down then. On Friday 3/25 at 850a he still never showed up, so I called him. He said he was at another job that morning and that he mentioned that to me (he did not, liar). He said he would be done by 10a and come over. At about 10a he called me, asked me my address then asked "what kid of toilet is it" I said it doesn't matter and that it is the one you poop in. He said it does, so I told him it was a "Quasar" toilet. He then said "oh, it's a generic toilet," and if he does come it is a service charge and asked if I was sure I wanted him to come "because as he said, I am driving all the way out from Fairview Park to Cleveland and does not want me to be mad if he says that I need a new toilet." I told him that I do not live in buffalo and he can come down to fix it. He then hung up as he said "I am on my way." Then he calls me back 2 minutes later and asks me if I was sure that I wanted him to come since he was driving all the way out again from Fairview Park and started to give me another plumber who he said was closer. I told him that how do I know that the other plumber is free now and he never mentioned that it was a problem a couple of days ago. He had no answer. Then said ok you are sure you want me to come over again, I said YES. Then he calls me back again another 2 minutes and asks me again if I want him to come over and said again, "you know I am driving all the way out from Fairview Park OH." I yelled and said obviously you don't want to do the job and other few choice words. Joe, is very unprofessional, not punctual, poor communication and a liar. Do not use him, run!

+ -1 moreAll that was described was the toilet was seeping. Joe did not know until he pulled the toilet what was the true cause. When he discovered the collar needed replacing on a twenty-five year old home, he had to go to the store and buy the necessary piping and collar to finish the job. While he was making the repair, he noticed standing water in the pipe, which is not normal. He told us he was going to try power flushing the pipe first (to keep the cost down) before considering snaking the pipe. He was successful in flushing the line and finished his repair. He was on the job for over three hours. Step by step he described what he found and what he proposed to do to make the repair. We were well informed during the entire process.
Description of Work: Bathroom toilet seeping from base. Joe pulled toilet and found the collar around the drain pipe was badly corroded. Also, he found the drain pipe was slow. He power flushed the drain, replaced the collar and the bees wax seal and reset the toilet.

+ -1 moreJoe came here to my home in Lorain, OH, to give me an estimate on an installation of a laundry tub. He had to charge me $25 for mileage since his office is so far from Lorain. He told me about the mileage charge on the phone so it was no surprise when he requested it after assessing the job. I thought his estimate was high, but I really don't have much to compare it to. He didn't mention the senior discount (I am age 70) and I forgot to ask. On my fixed income I can't afford Joe's price. I am going to have to ask a friend or relative who can probably do the job for less. I know professionals like Joe can ask union rates.
Description of Work: I called Joe to come out to give me an estimate on an installation of a laundry tub.

+ 0 moreI called Joe on Friday morning after having been referred to him by a friend of mine who had used him for a similar service a few months prior. He was very friendly and was able to schedule a call for the next day (as I had requested, though I'm sure he would have been able to come sooner if we had wanted him to) at my convenience. He arrived promptly at the time he said he would and was very courteous from the start. He invited me to watch him perform the services and was very open and honest throughout, giving me advice on other aspects of the plumbing in my house and detailing exactly what he was doing. He went above and beyond to finish the job in a timely manner. I have an older home in Lakewood that I just purchased in June and I knew going into it that the drains have been having issues for a while. My neighbor confirmed my suspicion; he told me that the previous owner was always having issues. Joe worked his magic and the drain is running perfectly. I could tell it was a tough job and probably took a bit longer than he was anticipating, but he held firm on his commitment to finish it and stay within the price he had quoted. He cleaned up after himself. We were very pleased and would definitely recommend him.

+ 0 moreJoe was professional, courteous, and punctual. I called him around 7:00 in the previous night - after I came home to a bathroom floor covered in water. I was also interested in having my hot water tank replaced. He told me approximately how much the hot water tank would cost and said he'd be out the next morning to do the work. I wasn't able to be there for the installation, but my wife was home. They (Joe and a helper) arrived right on time and were very professional. They explained things thoroughly to her and did a very good job and his estimate was right in line with the final cost - no surprises. I'm very happy with the work. This is the third time we've used Do It All Plumbing and have always been happy with their work. I'm sure we'll be calling them again.

+ 1 moreOur basement drains were backing up every time it rained. The clog was located 20 or so feet from the house. It took Joe a couple of hours with a snake but he finally was able to pull the obstruction from the drain (a childs wrist brace for roller skating and a plastic bag). I really thought we were going to have to have the front yard dug up and I'm relieved we didn't.

+ -1 moreWe always call another company for our plumbing. However, because of the cold snap they were overbooked and so we resorted to the phone book. We called this man and he was out in about an hour. He suggested breaking the concrete in order to get to the pipes. He ended up causing damage to the dishwasher, the concrete and our cupboards. I called him back in order to have him try to make it so the dishwasher would close. He came out and was able to do that, however, he did not try to repair any of the concrete or woodwork so that we could actually use the dishwasher. When it came down to paying, he refused to take a credit card and said he would only accept cash/check. To avoid a huge argument, I wrote a post dated check which he said he would not cash until the day listed. He then called and he told me that he cashed the check by mistake. I was so frustrated with him at that point that I had to hang up.
Description of Work: We hired him because our pipes froze up.

We called Do It All and they agreed to come out the next day to assess the problem. The Do It All contractor, Joe Szaikiewicz, explained the likely cause and suggested remedies. He and his associate snaked the main sewer line and solved the problem. They did the work in a thorough, professional manner at a very reasonable price. I would recommend their company to my friends without hesitation.
